How soon can you send the renewal of EAD?
-
nguyenp4 reacted to PatSquared in APRIL 2020 AOS FILERS
No earlier than 180 days before your current EAD expires!

Yup 2 years. It's probably safe to start your medical soon, unless you have most of the vaccines already , then you can wait for an interview notice.

Just want to make sure, the medical form should be valid for 2 years right?
My case is "ready to be interviewed" so I want to start getting the medical done. Thanks guys.
And congrats @Sinead91

My case is not "finished" - Yes, my husband has his EAD and AP - I recognize how lucky we are to have that. We are still waiting for an interview, just like others - I see many people who filed after us who were approved - It's frustrating - But I can also congratulate or be happy for them, even though we are still waiting. I guess you were never taught the old adage of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". I don't have an issue with your frustrations - Post about them, get them out - I have an issue with your negativity EVERY time someone has good news. It's nothing to do with a level of "helpfulness" - it's called common decency.

I submit 3 things
1. Letter from current employer stating they want to retain me to avoid having to train someone else, etc -> financial loss for company (Im currently on OPT)
2. Letter of personal financial loss (I have a baby, my wife working less because of covid).
3. The email they sent
Hope this helps.

Very simple.
1. Call USCIS or chat to an agent through Emma (I chose to do it through Emma) and request to expedite your EAD. They will give you a Referral number. (It’s like a receipt # but for requests)
2. Wait for an email from USCIS requesting proof for the expedite. You should get this email within 5 days of initiating the expedite request. The email will include the Info on who to send the proof to (Fax #, Division # etc.) Don’t forget to include a cover letter!
3. Nothing else! Just wait until you receive another email with a case status of approval/denial. This can take up to 30 days but in my case it took 1 day!
This whole process took 6 days total for me

Same happened to me , my i131 changed to fingerprints were applied to it , after 3 weeks of receiving my ead, hopefully it is not your case!
I called thousands of times and my lawyer as well requesting the bio to be applied into all 3 app’s , they repeated all the time that they were going to send me a letter with the bio appointment for i131 afterwards so now i guess i was and all the people here were correct. Some agents are not delivering 100% accurate info on the phone.
It changes from case to case, i believe. Mine was exactly 4 weeks

Just checked on mine, they require us to mail documents (green card/passport/completed form) but with my recent experience with USPS. I will wait until they finally decide to reopen. Offices have been closed since March.

Normally, yes. With COVID, you may need to call ahead and make an appointment or do it via mail or something.
