All of the information on how you can marry online through Utah County's ceremony, you can go to this above link. It is legitimate and does not require you to be physically present if you marry through this specific county. 

That's not entirely accurate. I met him a year before we married. I've seen him in person a total of twice for three weeks each time. In regards to the post you made about your own spousal visa, good luck, but PLEASE make sure you DO NOT file the CR-1 application (the I-130) UNTIL AFTER you have met with him. As with myself, I did not file until I was with him physically for two weeks after marrying online. 

Oh my goodness! That was so fast! Congratulations! We started the process in Costa Rica in 2019 and were finally approved in December of 2020. I'm glad to see the process is picking back up in CR for others!

Not sure why the comments are implying that you need more information. You've been married TEN years, first of all. You didn't mention you have the things everyone else that hasn't been married ten years brings as evidence, which there's no way you don't have: photos of you guys together, possibly wedding anniversary stuff, any other evidence you're a couple. I mean it isn't as though you have been not living together and have all of the types of proofs most of us long distance relationships have.

It appears your entire visa journey has been an incredibly fast one. I’m hoping the mods pin this as hope for others considering online weddings in such a time as this.

We filed online. I don't understand why it was so fast, either, honestly. All I can do is take this blessing and hope you guys get through the process soon. As far as interview dates go, completely depends on the Embassy at that point and that is why it varies so much. Regarding the I-130 and then the NVC, I don't understand why they would process ours so quickly.

No we did not submit pictures from the wedding. Just pictures of us physically together before and after. The consular officer asked him where we were married, and he said online through Utah. The CO was curious but not judgmental and did not ask any further questions about it. But there was no point in the process pre-interview that the online part was mentioned specifically.

I am in Louisiana, neither of us were present in Utah, nor together, nor with the officiant physically. The marriage certificate and the marriage itself is legally considered to have occured in Utah. 

When they asked where he was married, he answered that it was online due to COVID and explained to the officer . I had been worried about answering this way, but he says the officer was just curious about it, not judgmental and did not have any follow up questions to the answer. 

If you or anyone else has further questions, please ask! That's why I am sharing this, because I don't know of any of successes with online marriage yet!

Hi guys, I would like to ask for your advice.
 
Just now I read the topic about possibility of getting married online through the statue of Utah. I remember last time some of you actually proposed this option, but then it got denied. 
 
But it seems to be totally legitimate and apparently possible for both of us regular ppl (not military), there is no need for physical presence for application, and the marriage certificate doesn't state anything about online marriage. Several users of this website got approved CR1 having this type of marriage.
 
What do you think? Any cons of getting married this way for us? Can it bring any troubles in the future?
