I think the embassy required just one dose of covid vaccine and you'll be okay

@MadamEspazien You and I have the same timeline. We also filed in July 2020 and was DQ in March 2021. Would love us to stay connected and keep each other posted if either one of us hear anything about our case.

That's great to hear, thanks! Now if the embassy can just stay opened, and Haiti doesn't take another turn for the worse, spring/summer is within sight and we will finally get our interviews!

So they look at it case by case? We are not going to cancel our pending visa or anything but wondering if this might be an option in the meantime. When my husband gets his immigrant visa he already has a job lined up here so I thought the same job might be able to offer him a work visa while we wait for him to be able to move. The embassy in Haiti is crazy, they are actually prioritizing non immigrant visa interviews right now ahead of immigrant ones which isn’t really fair, but 🤷🏻‍♀️. Some people have been approved and waiting for interview scheduled for 4 years! While others are getting temporary visas much faster.

I’m actually so grateful you asked about this because I actually am in the exact same situation and emailed our lawyer a few days ago with the same question. I’ve also asked her about a B2 visa while we wait for this interview. We actually have a 22 month old and have been DQ’d since 2/2021 and are going crazy waiting. I met someone through my work who has a construction business and has gotten foreign workers previously and was really interested in trying to get my husband a visa but we worried it would not be successful since we have the IR1 pending. I travel back and forth to visit him as much as possible but it’s extremely painful to leave every time we have to return to the US. I literally am going crazy looking at every option because having our family torn apart with no end in site is unbearable. I’ve also struggled with being so frustrated and jealous to see K1 visas getting their interviews after a year while we’re waiting closer to 2 for these IR1 interviews. So I wanted to just thank you for asking the question and say that I understand 110%. Stay strong and pray that they start prioritizing reuniting families.

If he is eligible to apply for H2b visa based on its requirements, he can apply for it through the employer even if he has ongoing immigration processing. The CO may look at the totality of circumstances to approve or deny the visa.

❤ Bondye Konnen! That is what my Haitian family keeps reminding us. We really can't complain though 7 months in almost done collecting documents.

I am in Haiti currently. I usually spend 8 months a year here which is nice, even though we aren't able to live in the same house yet because of fianances and logistics.

Praying interviews speed up so we can all be with our husbands in the US before the year ends!

I am overjoyed to say our IR-1 application was accepted yesterday! Such a sweet gift for Valentines day!
We filed online in August and received no RFE what so ever. I was quite surprised actually because we had
little evidence to submit since we've never lived together yet. Also only had our civil marriage document and
not one from the National Archives. Anyway, who can offer some advice for the NVC stage? Does my Husband
have to fill out the online application alone or will I be allowed to help him since his English isn't too good? Any
thing to be careful of with the Afidavit, I am unemployed but filed taxes last year as a subcontractor of my parent's
business with a grand total earnings of $1,700. My dad is willing to be a joint sponsor I also have a good friend
and donor to my mission endeavors who would be as well, the more the better?

    Thank You Everyone! (:

yes i agree with doing it now and you will be able to upload documents you will just label them as marriage  cert archive you know something like that or more wedding photos. just as long as you name what you are sending. once you get your NOA1 thats just letting you know your service center that will be looking at your case and a access code to register online with uscis and you will see and call follow your documents. to be honest because i live here and my husband is there the only receipts i sent was the guest house, ring stuff like that because they know we wouldn't have anything together and as for the tax stuff you are a long way from even needing that it will take until next year from 5-12 months before you will need it maybe things will change by then for you. i just sy that so you don't stress. you can also message me if you like for more info being i just got approved i can help with a little something
