This is super exciting, congratulations!!
I haven't yet. I'm a (late) September filer (I got ready to be scheduled on 02/02/21), but thank you so much for sharing about your interview being scheduled! It's been hard to figure out where the Brooklyn office is at with scheduling interviews, so you getting an interview date scheduled at least gives me a general idea about what to expect.
Thanks! I checked USCIS processing time and it still says 18 - 42 months. I'm now calling nearby doctors to schedule my I-693 since I didn't submit it yet.
I feel like you will be scheduled sooner as expected as well, so better to be prepared!

Reading here, seems you can send Certified True Copies (CTCs): http://newyorkpcg.org/pcgny/civil-registration/report-of-marriage-of-a-filipino-abroad/
I don't know if they return originals. Best to recheck with them directly.
Thanks! Will do

@Zach2015 @Adventine Thanks! I have another question. Do I send out the original documents in the mail for my ROM? Are they going to send it back to me?
-
@TahomaI live in NYC and the Consulate is less than an hour away via subway for me.
@Zach2015 I'll be doing the same thing. ROM via mail then passport in person.
@Adventine When I reschedule my passport appointment, how can I indicate that I will be applying for overseas voter reg as well? I think I tried to do another appointment for the same day and time but the website said I already had an existing appointment.

It depends on whether you want to use your married name on your passport or not. If you do and you have no upcoming travel plans, it would be a good idea to file ROM and get the transmittal record first before renewing your passport.
On the other hand, passport renewal appointments are hard to come by. If you have no burning desire to have your married name on your passport, I suggest you attend that appointment on Friday.
I think I'll go ahead and wait for the ROM before renewing my passport to lessen any inconveniences I could possibly experience with a different AP and passport name. Thank you for the help @Chancy!

Without your ROM filing documents, DFA will not allow you to use your married name to renew your passport.
Are you not able to mail in the ROM requirements before your passport appointment?
I was able to secure an appointment this Friday for my passport renewal. ROM would take 4-6 weeks if I'm not mistaken.
I read some posts that they used to allow people to do it at the same time but I guess now you can only do ROM via mail and passport in-person?
@Chancy, Would you suggest I wait for my ROM prior to renewing my passport? I still have a PH driver's license and voter's ID to show with my passport when I travel overseas. I am just concerned that I might have non-travel-related issues in the future. Also, I have no immediate plans of traveling.
-
I have additional questions. Since I won't be able to do ROM and passport renewal at the same time, how should I fill out the renewal form? Use my maiden name on all items that asks for my name or can I just sign it as may married name but put my maiden's name on the first line? Or should I sign the whole thing with my married name?
Example:
Maiden Name: Maria Clara Rizal and Married Name: Maria R. Smith

Thanks @Talako and @Adventine. I'll try the passport website tom at 9am

Does anyone know if PCG would accept ROM application with an expired passport? I have been trying to book an appointment here in NYC but no luck.

They could not take a fingerprint from my father, they said his fingertips are too smooth with no ridges.
I had the same issue with my fingerprints. When I arrived at the airport, the officer made me transfer to another officer who was more patient and tried for about 5 minutes to have my prints on file. Same with my AOS proceedings (EAD/ AP). They kept wiping my fingers and I think I was there for about 10 - 15 minutes but they were able to get it. They will do everything to get the fingerprints and they are used to it, apparently.

So quiet in this group. No progress for July filers. I heard even people from December 2020 are getting their interviews. Any update from anybody?
Ready for interview since Dec 2020. I filed for outside of processing time for my I-130 just to see if they will check my application and maybe schedule my interview soon but they closed it without advise. I'm from Brooklyn, though so I think we have more backlogs compared to other boroughs.

Congratulations! Glad everything went well on your interview

Use any form of ID, there won't be any issue. I had several domestic flight after overstaying on B2 visa with AOS pending (No question ever asked). I used my Indian Passport or Canadian DL as ID.
We're planning to fly to Vegas soon with my EAD/AP card. My Philippine passport has expired and my PH driver's license is under my maiden name. Would the AP card be sufficient? I have yet to get an ID with my NY address.
