People please help me I am freaking out. My I-751 received date is 8/11/23. notice date is 8/18/23. My NOA only has online access code instructions nothing about 48 months extension. is this normal?
You can check my ROC timeline below. I received my extension letter 2 weeks after the online access code letter.

You simply use whatever ID is valid.
Thanks!

I was scheduled for bio appt but on the day it was scheduled, I will not be available. Was able to reschedule it for next week via the website they indicated on the bio appt letter. After probably 10-15 mins, I got confirmation and my online account showed a new appointment letter with my preferred schedule for printing.
I guess this was also one of the perks of them creating online accounts for us. I thought I had to call/ chat with someone to help me reschedule

Do you have any valid ID? Such as a Green card, state ID or driver's license?
A state ID. My GC will expire in Oct but I'm planning to do this by next week.

My wife was able to do both at the same time at the Embassy in DC.
May I know how? Was it like a consular outreach? I live in NYC but as per the website, I need to email the documentary requirements first for assessment.

I need to report my marriage to the Phil Embassy. However, I saw that one of their requirements is a valid passport:
"Valid Passports or IDs of Husband & Wife
Submit one (1) original and 3 notarized copies or 4 notarized copies if the original is not available
Valid passports or IDs of HUSBAND and WIFE who is filing the application."Unfortunately, my passport is expired (which is why I needed to do ROM first THEN renew my passport. Does anyone know if I should just go ahead and submit the expired passport?
Thank you.

You have to show original, it's watermarked.
You can try showing a copy and be lucky. But if you're not lucky, you won't board a plane.
Thank you!

Do you have to show the original extension letter or will a photocopy/ soft copy suffice?

I think Mike's post above had a typo and he meant unrestricted Social Security card. Does your SS card have language on it that says "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION"?
If you have a State ID and unrestricted SS card, you don't need to provide your green card at all for work purposes.
I just checked and it does say "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION".

You over shared and did not have to.
That you are renewing a GC is your business.
Do you have state ID or state DL and do you have an unrestricted GC?
Yeah, I think so too. Learned my lesson not to overshare next time.
I do have a state ID and the 2-yr conditional gc.

Did you mean you got rejected for remote volunteer work?
OMG yes. I'm sorry. My mind was still in shock that I got rejected for this volunteer position. And I also forgot how to edit my post as I haven't been here since I got my GC 2 years ago.
I told them that my GC won't expire till Oct which is why I went ahead and renewed it (did not explain the 90-day rule since she said she will ask their lawyer about it).
I didn't want to continue the convo anymore since it was voluntary so I didn't want to spend another day explaining to her the wonderful immigration system we have here.
I just realized that the reason why a lot of immigrants apply to big companies is because they have the resources to deal with immigrants like us. But then, no one's really hiring

I got accepted for remote (office admin) volunteer work because I told them that I just applied for my green card renewal. I am currently job hunting and I wanted to know if anyone got discriminated against as well for an actual job while having their ROC (I-751) processed.
It's a new consultant company consisting of 2 people as of the moment with no actual clients yet but they needed volunteers to help with admin tasks. Since I have been having a hard time finding a hybrid/ remote job in NYC, I thought of applying. Didn't think I would be rejected like this, lol.

Wells Fargo has a bank to bank transfer service called ExpressSend which we have been using for over a decade. $4 or $5 per transfer.
Wow. I just started working at WF and had no idea about this. Thank you!

Thank you everyone. I'm going to look into Wise, WU, Charles Schwab and Chase.
Have a great weekend to all!

If you're sending to a dollar account then the whole "who has the best exchange rate" doesn't apply. Bank to Bank transfer would work.
Sometimes, I'm not the brightest one in the room 🤦♀️😆

Hey everyone.
What's the best way to remit money to the Philippines nowadays? My mom has a dollar account with BDO.
Would bank-to-bank transfer be better in terms of taxes/ fees/ exchange rate?

It's a nonprofit. Of course it runs on donations. But it doesn't charge the beneficiaries money to participate. So I'm getting a career coach, personalized interview practice and training for free.
Can you update us afterwards? I'm still waiting for my GC but I have heard about them before.

I was in the same situation as you (check my timeline). Had a pending K1, visited on a B2, then during my US visit, we got completely fed up with the PH government travel restrictions.
Wow. You have one of the fastest timelines I've seen on this forum
@chibichummy with everything going on in the Philippines, it might be best to do AOS here instead. Haven't seen my family in 2 years but I wouldn't risk it especially now that most hospitals are in full capacity due to Covid and the government seems to be making a joke out of it instead of taking things seriously. Might take another year or so to be able to travel safely back to the Phils.

Hi guys,
I came to US on K1 visa on 25 june and just got married 2 days before, i want to know if i have to apply for AOS before 90 days over or it was just to get married in 90 days. My i90 expires on 22 September.
The sooner, the better. Here's a thread where they delayed their AOS and had to face the consequences.
New Biometrics Appointment
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion

I just did biometrics last week for I-751. They only took my picture and one fingerprint. I always had problems with my fingerprint and I remember the last time I was at USCIS, I saw some fingers had Xs but the officer just kept on trying till after I think about 10 mins. Nothing to worry about. Just make sure you fill out the 2nd page of the form and have an ID ready when you get to the office.
