AmericanNomad reacted to Palawan in Has anyone traveled to Davao recently?
That I don't know, I flew out in late May and had to have a covid test, I thought they changed that, but I never researched, I just got home a few weeks ago so It didn't apply to me, While I was there they did drop the Covid test to get back to USA..

Covid test is not required anymore.

Nope, All that stuff went away a few month ago
All I needed was the one health pass to enter the country, I hung in Manila and Davao City area
Carry your vaccine card in Davao Area some malls still want to see it, and they will ticket you for not wearing a mask.

Thank you!

The One Health app that is required for the Philippines requires you to upload the vaccination data. It can probably just be a copy of the white card. Make sure you have the same white card with you. My friend just arrived there last week. They checked everything at the check in counter before the flight. His insurance and vaccination card were checked there. Upon arrival in Manila he showed the vaccine card and the One Health QR code. He said it was only 23 minutes from landing until he was outside NAIA. When we went in November it was about an hour for us to get through so I'm thinking they are not looking that close. They only asked to see the CDC card but he did have the Dept of Health verification on his phone that was not needed. He did mention a few were waiting for verification of the vaccines at the check in counter but he assumed it was a name mismatch with the passports.

Not right now. You cannot enter the Philippines without the vaccination card. Check your other post. My friend just landed there last week and I talk about his experience.

Hello, I'm from the US and I'm not vaccinated, and I have a girlfriend from the Philippines I haven't seen for a little over 2 years. We'd love to see each other and spend time together, even if it's just for a few weeks. Is there currently any way for me to enter the Philippines? I heard some news about Cebu allowing unvaccinated foreigners with quarantine, but not sure if it's true or not.

You have to sign up for one health pass three days before your flight. You upload a picture of your vaccine card and rt-pcr test along with filling out information. How they verify/if they do who knows

Mactan Cebu Airport Advisory has very current information on this topic. If not compliant with IATF 160B Section A (1) to (3), passenger shall be denied admission. AND If not compliant with Section A (3) - get swab test and quarantine in hotel. It's a bit unclear what is meant by "if not compliant with A (2)" - it could be they also can get swab test and quarantine.

My wife is in the Philippines right now and this is what she told me the same thing. They have the coast guard checking the cards and she said it is actually pretty organized and it goes quickly.

And? If you have a real card, why does it matter when or how close they look at the vaccine proof ? Your original questions seem a little odd to me. I wish you good luck. This immigration is a grueling process. The pandemic has magnified the stress.

I personally have not traveled internationally during COVID times so I can't speak from experience about WHEN they check the vaccine card. During my USA domestic flights, we had to upload our vaccine cards AND government-issued ID to the destination state's travel website, as directed by the airline. When we landed, officials also took photos of our vaccine cards and ID's.
There are stories of people traveling and using fake vaccine cards and then getting arrested in their destination state or country, FYI. One American couple thought they got away with their fake cards and were enjoying their vacation in Canada but the authorities caught up to them. Weird thing to ask about IMO because if you have a real vaccine card, there's nothing to worry about it. So the fact you're even asking this suggests...certain things.

Doesn't it also get checked before boarding a flight?
-

They check it upon arrival at the airport, in which the coast guard/airport personnel will just take a quick glance at your vaccination card. Either digital vaccination (on your phone) or physical card will suffice.

AmericanNomad got a reaction from RO_AH in Unvaccinated foreigner entering the Philippines
@seekingthetruth Are there direct flights to Cebu, or do you have to travel to Manila first in order to get to Cebu? Because if so, Cebu's rule for allowing unvaccinated foreigners wouldn't mean much then.
I am still unvaccinated and I choose to remain that way because I don't want the vaccine first of all, and I shouldn't have to take a vaccine just to be able to travel. Doesn't seem right to me.
On the other hand, my girl friend lives in the Philippines, and I need to see her...

AmericanNomad got a reaction from Joe Kano in What countries are Filipinos allowed to travel to right now?
She has a passport and has traveled outside the Philippines before. She's been to South Korea. She also has a good stable job. So I'm feeling good about her not getting offloaded in December. I was thinking either Thailand or Maldives for where to meet, assuming those places are open in December.

In the same situation, now almost two years. All we can really do is hope they come to their senses over there and open for tourism.
