Yes the updates help. Silence really tests patience but we know they are working on our cases. Best wishes!

I find myself checking Processing times on the USCIS website every few days, as well as eagerly awaiting approval estimate emails from VJ. Every new update feels like a small victory in the whole process.

Am I the only one who checks their case status everyday? Morning and evening?
Yet there is no change.....Patience is a virtue.

Good to know. And the reason I check twice is because I hope it updated during the day or in the night.

It took about 5 months for me to finally say “Stop”. I was checking processing times, case status, and another site. It took so much time of my day that I finally just stopped. Instead of everyday, it’s every couple days or so. Less and less.

I would wait for the AOS Greencard as someone mentioned you won't need EAD once you have that.  We just went through this with my husband.

AOS/EAD/Advance Travel Parole applications all submitted at the same time for one fee in July 2019
EAD/Advanded Travel Parole granted in January 2020

Case status online stated interview pending since December 2019

Just had AOS / Greencard interview in September 2020 to give you and idea of how long it is taking. Interview took less than 10 minutes, approval document and Greencard received via mail 2 weeks later.

    Hang in there!

You can find all the dates in my timeline. My original appointment was on the 31st of March, I filed for AOS/EAD/AP on the 21st of February, receipt date is 23rd of February. I don't know what order they go by if any, as my original appointment was after yours and yet I already got my repeat appointment and you didn't. There doesn't appear to be any rime or reason to it, sadly.

The ASC in Atlanta is open and doing biometrics at reduced capacity, at least it was when I had my rescheduled biometrics appointment on the 11th. I hope you hear from them soon. Good luck!

Unfortunately a lot of February and March filers are in the same boat. It might be worth calling them as there are stories of people getting appointments scheduled but then not receiving the mail notification until after their appointment.

Do not be in fear. Use your discretion and keep an eye on news updates.
If you check news reports so far there is only one reported case of covid 19 in Africa and it's in Egypt. There are very many chinese people in a country like Kenya and yet nobody has got the disease yet. Africa is the most vulnerable continent yet it's still a mystery why this disease has not hit hard there. Some are saying it has something to do with DNA

Timeline for EAD is about 5- 7 months. So with one month of waiting you're still good.
