Today, February 2, 2020, I received the I-797 - Notice of Action - Approval Notice for I-765 - Application for Employment Authorization. Not the actual EAD card, just the NoA saying it was approved. My I-485 is still pending, but I'm confident it'll get approve later this year.

My question is, in about how long will I receive the actual EAD card? Also, during the adjustment of status, I applied for a Social Security number since I didn't get one during the three month K-1 Visa period. Will the SSN come in the same envelope as the EAD or when will the SSN arrive?

My question is, in about how long will I receive the actual EAD card? My husband's EAD/AP card arrived about 10 days after the notice.  Also, during the adjustment of status, I applied for a Social Security number since I didn't get one during the three month K-1 Visa period. Will the SSN come in the same envelope as the EAD or when will the SSN arrive?  The Social Security Administration is completely separate from USCIS, so no.  I am not sure of the timelines for SSNs that way, as my husband applied for his before we got married.

The SSN will arrive a few days to a few weeks after the EAD card IF you applied for it on the I765.

We did apply for it on the I-765, and that's not a long wait so it's great news, thank you! 😃

Good for you! Just wondering how long uscis took to reply to your application? I have been waiting for over a month now

Timeline for EAD is about 5- 7 months. So with one month of waiting you're still good.
