you know, i'm sitting here thinking with december looming around the corner, how rotten french toast this christmas is going to be for a lot of us. in my case i'm entirely alone. my mother and step-dad can't come in from port hope, my husband's in georgia, and i'm immuno-compromised so i can't exactly go outside all willy-nilly, even with a mask on. before covid, we were [all, most likely here], looking at a hopeful christmas home with our families in the states [or vise-versa]. for me it's my husband and our 3 cats that i had waiting for me. all my things are down in georgia, and it's really hard to have nothing but a bed, a garbage bag of clothes, and a laptop where i'm at currently to make me feel "at home" as possible and don't even get me started on how much this has affected our finances [student loans suck, btw]....

honestly, i just want a hug. you know the hugs you get from your mom? or your partner? that make everything ok even though you've got "ugly crying face" going on? yeah. those. i just want our lives to start, and not be dragged back by the fear of another lockdown/closure and stuff. sorry for the rant, but given a lot of us are in the same boat together, i feel as if, apart from my husband, there really isn't many in the real world who would understand the heartache.

For those going to Medisys, I did my medical Tuesday morning. I just received an email from them stating that they already sent the result to the consulate and I also received the tracking number for my vaccination & X-ray CD copie. So the process was pretty quick It took 2 days.

My passport came today! I just picked it up from the post office

I’m in Vancouver. Tracking number was received Monday (November 16th), and the passport was available today for pickup at 9am local time today (November 18th). So only 2 days to get across the country!

I did my medical today at medisys in Montreal. It went well. They asked for 5 passport pictures, passport, interview letter and immunization record. When I arrived they asked me to filed a form. Then was asked to wait in the waiting room. I strongly recommend to bring something to keep you entertained while you are waiting because on a busy day, it’s long. I waiting 3h30 in total. They mail you your copy of the X-ray and they send the whole thing electronically to the consulate, they said it takes them approximately 5 business days for the consulate to receive it.

Hahahahha exatly like me ahahha. Last night I was like oh I could stay up until 2am and see if I get anything. Around 1am I decided to go to bed telling myself that I probably won't have anything as for the last month I stayed up but never received anything. And of course I wole up at 3h45am this morning and saw the email, I couldn't go back to sleep then.. so happy and excited. I already booked my medical for tomorrow to get it done.
