Nope.  The revised version of the bill will require a DNA test for each claimed Filipino artist, and you must prove 93.7% Filipino blood, and for groups, the average Filipino blood must be 88.2%.  The DNA tests will be done at St. Lukes.  Before you are allowed to get the DNA test you need a Covid test.  If you fail the Covid test, automatic lockup in a quarantine hotel for 14 days before you get the DNA test.  If you fail the DNA test, lifetime ban from the Philippines.  😂

First, as with anything in the Philippines, enforcement would be practically impossible and these new "rules" would be only used as a way to collect more bribes.  Second, its scary that 179 Representatives didnt see this as a dumb idea when there are hundreds of other more pressing issues.

I'd have to agree it is a SCAM more control, more influencing, more rhetoric. Just another way for the PH Gov. to brainwash and control over it's citizens, you think abuse is an "American thing" lol or for that matter specific to ANY country in the world? I think not. Abuse is unheard of in PH? No!
If the PH Gov. top to bottom spent more time looking in the mirror and assessing it's self, doing better for it's countrymen and being better leaders and less time trying to keep the people simple minded, controlled, influenced, brainwashed and censored then there would be no need for CFO and human rights violations would be less as there would be a better knowledge base, less need for those to seek to find a way out at all costs, etc....
If the PH People are SOOOOOO Naïve it is a direct result of the piss poor Gov. and their need to keep their people that way to better suit themselves, if they didn't spend all their time trying to subjugate their people and then to control what they think, hear and say  in order for them NOT to see what their Gov. is ACTUALLY doing and how it is NOT for the "Peoples own good" then the country as a whole could grow in many different aspects including not to be so Naïve and Not to need to seek any opportunity elsewhere at any cost.
if you have a child who is completely inept and Naïve all the way into their adult years and even at 30-40 years old need their parents to make every decision for them and weigh every choice they might make for them, tell me? Exactly WHO's Fault is that??
Now then on top of the CFO there is also the BOI IO at the airports which use interrogations sessions even lasting sometimes for hours in a private room and requiring access to your personal phone all records and even your most intimate chat logs with your partner, this seems normal to you? And then to be able to tell people, you fulfilled every single thing per the letter of the law exhaustively but it is up to me to define as I see fit the application of "Totality of Circumstance" and my personal feelings is to deny you exit rights, get packing or we will call airport security to hand you over to the police. Yeah that sounds legit, sounds like a real good system I would totally want to live in lol. Only if I was an incompetent who never wanted to make a single choice for myself and wanted everyone else to rule my life and make all choices for me.

That to me sounds A LOT like an Abuser warning someone else that everyone else and every where else in the world is where the abusers are and that the PH is their only friend and caring savior. Sounds a like like brainwashing to me. I wonder who the actual abusers are here???? hhmmmmm

With my eldest son who is with me here in the US, I've spent almost 30000 pesos then when we got to the airport he only showed his US passport and that was it. We boarded the plane and arrived at SFO with no problems. So that 30000 that ive spent was just a waste of money. But just FYI passports are only like 1500 right now that's I what I was informed. Huge difference. And that's how it is in the philippines. They tell you one thing and then you find out something else. And you can't get your money back either. Philippine immigration is so screwed up they themselves don't know what they are doing.

    It's really frustrating.

What is the difference between regular filers and expedites who wants to get interviewed, if the US Embassy MNL reasons for not opening up is because of Covid19 (Country) restrictions?

If their reason is they are afraid the USEM MNL personnel would catch covid, there's the same possibility they would catch it when they are interviewing expedites.

I dont get it. So much BS.

    lol, that's funny as hell.
Also the USEM MNL is NOT Closed
I will say up front that I do not recommend getting married and starting all over with a CR-1, but should you want options ........
You and your Fiancée can get married online through the state of Utah and neither of you need to be physically present in Utah at the time of marriage and it does not matter if your Fiancée is physically located in PH. - Currently the PH Authorities are not allowing spouses to enter alone i.e. the couple must enter together but early last month this was not the case and in the future it may not be the case again so there is a possible option and if going this route you can "Consumate" until your hearts content lol
Another possible option is to fly your fiancée out of the country and meet in a 3rd party country to you both (CR is an easy one for US / PH) and get married abroad get all the documentation in order and then re-enter together (Consumation would not seem to be an issue in this case).
Both of these scenarios would require much documentation and getting a 9a visa to enter which the DFA is not issuing exemptions for at the moment and neither is the PHEM issuing visas for at the moment but may soon be again. Additionally, flying out to get married may require quite a bit of money and additional paperwork for the PH IO.

The USEM MNL is currently processing K-1's outside of just the Expedite criteria of the additional category of those who are already case ready at the USEM. Give them a call and give them your priority date and some other info including your Fiancée's Passport # and they may follow up with an email to your Fiancée to sched. an interview

This is true, speaking from experience. Back in Oct 2020 I was emailing them both at the same as I was kinda expecting this ping pong response from them even if you explain clearly your request and provide evidence. They did, so i directly quoted their own expedite qualifications, and USEM finally approved our expedite. And short after received email from NVC that they’re shipping our case to Manila.

Cody&Razely reacted to flicks1998 in US DOS: Do not travel to the Philippines due to COVID-19
There are very few countries that are actually banned.  Also the special permissions and briefings/debriefings are specific to US government employees only.  Normal US citizens can travel unabated.  Before the pandemic, I traveled as a tourist in many Level 4 countries (North Korea before the ban, Syria, Iran, Iraq, S Sudan, etc) without issues.  In fact, I never used to check that State Dept website.  I would just follow local immigration and entry rules.  Some places, such as Syria, I would get approval to travel into the country and then my visa/entry authorization would get cancelled a week or less in advance.  As long as you follow all of the rules there is very little risk.  The ones you read about in the news, typically did not follow the rules.  Sam Goodwin, for example, was a travel friend acquaintance, however when he was kidnapped entering Syria, it was his own fault.  He enter illegally through the Kurdish part of Syria without a valid visa.  None of this was ever reported accurately in the media and made some of these Level 4 countries seem more dangerous than they really are.

If you are a current or past US government employee, you wouldnt qualify for an Iranian visa for tourism purposes.

Once they tag you as TB suspect it follows you for a long time.  When you get to America you will be tested again by the local health department.  The amount of money SLEC charges is an outrage.  Normal childbirth in the Philippines is far less expensive than a physical in SLEC.

When I talked of our experience with SLEC some on this site berated me for complaining.  The facts speak the truth.  In the Philippines the average cost for child birth in a hospital is roughly 65.00 USD.  A K1 physical is over 10 times that amount, and could be more depending on travel to SLEC.  When my wife took her 2nd physical all they did was collect the money and put her through sputum testing again because that is the protocol.  Three negative tests and they tried for a fourth.

In this country our Government created the immigration nightmare and is the only source we have to try and correct this quagmire. What you call complaints is an actual accounting of our K1 experience.  If you choose to not have an understanding of what we had to endure  than so be it,  just go away please.

Wow, did you read my post or just start responding with liberal rhetoric.  I called the Embassy when they tried to send my wife back to St. Lukes three days after they received her Physical.  They told me that due to reduced staffing they could not respond to my problem at that time and that she needed to respond to their request for another  physical without even checking to see that they had her completed physical.  Senator Cruz got this mess straighten out within 72 hours.

I have been in the city of Rio de Janeiro, with a Filipina no less, at the very height of the pandemic.  Whatever propaganda of bodies lying in the streets may be on TV, we were there.  First hand.  The city and society of Rio de Janeiro was functioning just awesome.  The pandemic meant your Uber driver would leave the windows down and you would randomly get splashed with a shot of hand sanitizer hear and there.  Otherwise everything was working great. If the US Consulate is shut down there they are about the only ones and I'm sure the Embassy workers are out in public enjoying the beach if they have an excuse to not be working.
