Thanks. How long did it take your fiancée to get through immigrations? We have a flight out of lax 4 hours after they land.
I flew into LA and arrived 15 minutes before her flight landed about 20 minutes early. PAL must not know about Filipino time🙂 I saw her plane land while I was waiting for the shuttle bus to terminal B. I waited at pictured waiting wall for about 45 minutes before she came out. Many Filipino people came out before her. When demographics started to change I started to worry. But she appeared soon after that. She was on the PAL flight that leaves at 9:10PM BTW. Arrives LAX at 6 PM.

To find the place in the picture, follow signs to ground transport. Good luck!

Sorry I saw this too late to help you. My fiancé tested positive right before her medical. Almost certain it was a false positive we had her tested again the next day and it was negative. We were lucky to get negative antigen test from the PAL facility at the airport and she is here now in the US. So for anyone else this might help, be quiet and quickly get another test. You might get lucky!

Your results are dated and time stamped
Just remember it is the day before specifically. So could be 1 hour or 47 hours depending on the timing and still be OK.

I thought some of you might be interested in my testimony about what the current CFO experience is like for K-1 Visa Holders. I've heard some strange stories about CFO representatives being intentionally difficult, invasive, stalling people's progress, etc. Thankfully, we didn't experience anything like this - the CFO representatives we interacted with were prompt, helpful, polite, and seemed to genuinely want to help us get our certificates ASAP.
Thanks brightfuture! Our experience was very similar to yours. Hopefully, it is the new normal. Registered and sent screenshot of the Issued page as proof of impending visa, but they requested a copy of the actual visa before proceeding. Got the visa 2 days later and sent it along with the other requested documents (divorce decree and proof of relationship). Once those were sent, the counseling happened promptly later that day. We found the form they sent after that to be quite cumbersome. TIP: Be sure to follow the formats off to the side exactly. Otherwise it doesn't accept the inputted data. Once we made it through payment, the temporary was emailed quickly as you describe. Trying to get her out of Manila this Sunday. It will require her to get Antigen test and get her luggage from a friend in between flights in a 3 hour period. Wish us luck!

Hello everyone.
Totally new to the site and the journey. Any suggestions / information is appreciated.
This is in regards to the Manila Embassy (Philippines)
Is the Petitioner allowed to attend the interview with the Beneficiary?
How long does it typically take from visa approval to delivery of passport?
I would like to be with my fiancée for her interview, and then fly to the US with her.
Thank you!
3 business day after interview, we had VOH from LBC SM Mall of Asia.

Thanking God it didn't take 4-5 months as some predicted. For those who are still waiting, we feel for you. Keep praying. On to CFO and ticket. Want to thank all of you here and especially Hank for his wonderful guide.

I'm just not sure if they would have to quarantine or not. I cannot find any information on layovers.
For Singapore, they require negative PCR test. I was checking it back in December. Doubt it has changed.

Fast forward to today - I think the nightmare may be finally over, but I'm so traumatized by the whole experience that I almost feel numb about it, like I'm still not quite sure it's safe to celebrate. Hopefully, the CFO process is stress-free.
Congrats! Hopefully everything else goes smooth.

My wife did not fill out a single form during her immigration process. I did it all.
I think you are being overly optimistic, but the main thing is that it's finally on it's way to Manila.
We are also in the group sent this week. Why would 3-4 months be overly optimistic? I think my fiance will be here by March.

Our case that went to NVC in June 2020 is still at NVC.

Our situation is different because you've never met. I met my fiancé in the Singapore airport when she was returning home as OFW. Before we would meet again she was back in Singapore for another 28 months. Chinese employer long hours and only allowed out on Sunday. During those 28 months we would spend her Sundays together on my many business trips there. Once her contract was up 5/2019, it was a no brainer for me. She would go home and wait for my divorce to finalize and I would support her. I couldn't live in a homeless camp for the amount of money it requires and she never asks for more.
What I'm getting to here is that in hindsight, if she had signed up for another 2 years, we could have processed her visa in Singapore and we would be together right now. Perhaps that is an avenue you can explore. Who knows when the USEM is going to clear this backlog. As others have mentioned, a western employer is better to have as they would be more flexible to your situation. My fiancés Chinese employer kept her passport so she couldn't leave.

My fiancé passed the embassy interview last night (today her time) and said the interview only took 5 minutes. The interviewer didn't even ask for affidavit of support or the scrapbook of photos of us together she made for evidence. It sounds like the embassy is pushing people through fast to try to catch up on the backlog so if you're still waiting for an interview date it could be coming soon!
Congrats! Would like to know your timeline if don't mind sharing.

I would hope they would respond to the increased demand with an increase in the staff to handle that demand but that's probably wishful thinking 🤔
Perhaps they could make some of those folks that Biden pays to stay home (and laughs about it ) do the work.

Is anyone else still waiting? We've been stuck at NVC well over a year now. K1 was a huge mistake.
Met my fiancé in 2016. Saw each other regularly before the plandemic. She gave me the courage to divorce my cheating, abusive, sociopathic wife. Took until January 2020 to finally get the decree. Filed immediately. With all the stress about finances, being apart etc suffered a heart attack and had open heart surgery. Yes, still waiting! Haven't been together for 19 months. Lately my angina has returned. I'll likely die before I see her again.😢

After 806 days, we finally got good new. She got her appointment letter last Wednesday night (for an appoinment today). Not much time. Luckily, she was still in Batangas. She was in there 2 hours. I will post her review when I get to speak with her later.
No my goal is to get her out of there before the vaccine mandate goes into affect for foreign travelers. I really prefer she gets vaccinated her. Thank you lord.
Congratulations! Good luck with the rest of your journey!

Really? I already pointed out that the FDA approved vaccine is the one from Pfizer. Why would anyone want to debate this topic with you when all you've done is ignore valid points, and make claims without even providing sources (credible or otherwise) for where you're getting them? It's pointless.
Many FDA approved medicines have resulted in class action lawsuits with billion dollar awards. Just because a drug is approved by the FDA doesn't mean it is safe. The long term effects of the vaccines will not be know for many years. I likely won't live long enough to know the answer. One thing I do know is that the vaccine won't go into my body as long as I'm still able to resist. And I am high risk to die from the virus due other medical conditions.
My sister had the vaccine and still got the virus. She didn't improve until after she was given Monoclonal antibody infusion. The treatment allowed her to recover very quickly.
So one might wonder "Why is a vaccine that admittedly doesn't stop the virus being touted and pushed by the guberment and medical community over a treatment that obviously does work? Why are hospitals incentivized by the guberment to report hospitalizations and deaths as COVID cases? " Sarcasm on Perhaps it has something to do with those billion dollar awards mentioned above! Sarcasm off

Sorry we went out to eat, she made it into DFW just fine, i hate that airport. I drove around in circles trying to figure out how to get to terminals, they have it set up so you have to pay the small toll to get to terminals and parking.
so after 4 yrs we are finally together for goodCongrats! Wish the best!

PAL has a site to get the test in the Manila airport. It is relatively cheap. But I don't remember how much.
