Back in 2018, my then fiancé was denied exiting the country because she did not have a travel authority. At the time she was an employee of her LGU.  We were to take a short trip to Thailand but they would not let her through passport control without the travel authority.  She feels that if she had not stated that she was a gov't employee there would have been no problem.  After researching the issue afterwards, it seems that it was not required, but as with all things in the Philippines, the rules depend on the one applying them.  Just food for thought.

Wow I’m done- there’s no reasoning with some people and I’ll leave out my choice set of words. This post was created because someone felt it was wrong to finally enforce an enforceable document; pretty laughable to get upset with.  As a petitioner, you knew this was required to bring your family member over and if you couldn’t/wouldn’t/won’t abide by it then don’t sign it. There are two countries in every international relationship; so there is always another choice if you don’t want to abide by US immigration rules; no one is stuck. 

We had our interview yesterday at the Reno field office.  Officer decided to interview us separately which I thought was odd as we didn't have any apparent red flags.  At the end, we were told that he would be approving the petition and she should have her green card in a few weeks and status already updated to new card being produced!

I've heard they separate couples now because of Covid situation. So it's kinda more safe.

My wife has her interview scheduled for Aug 13th.  Fortunately our local office doesn't seem the have the volume/lead times that others do.

Found out today that, a month after they were taken, my wife's fingerprints weren't usable and have to be retaken. Frustrating...

Was mailed a letter by USCIS,  she got excited thinking it might have been an interview notice haha.
