They will more then likely not ask for it. They will ask "When last you saw your wife or last she visited. He can tell the CO when you did.
They don;t have time for all that you have a t best 20 minutes with the CO. But better to have and not need right.

    And sorry about your miscarriage.

All the best at your interview.

Stop worrying about the evidence. Only he gives it over if they ask. But like i said make sure he has your passport with him going into the embassy.

They don't have time to look at and read all that extra. That's what NVC side loading is for. Just the original documents. Every once in the while they may ask to see something so long as your husband has things organized ready to hand over if asked. Otherwise no.

    Ok thank you

So sorry about the miscarriage. Just arrange any document you can lay your hands upon thats relevant. The Co may ask or may not ask for proof of relationship, but just be prepared everything will be alright.

Thank you very much. It's been so hard loosing our baby while apart. We plan to try again soon as he gets here. I'll be present at his interview.

Just haven't understood exactly when he should give more information or not.

My understanding is to only give information when asked. I'm getting nerveous. Lol

  4. So Question:

    Interview February 10th. Lagos

Right before our NAO2 was approved I made a trip back overseas to visit my husband. That was the second trip(including the first when we got married). We have pictures more chat logs and more evidence of our marriage. I know we will be making a package with all new information not originally turned into USCIS.

DO WE just give these to the CO along with everything? OR do we only wait to give them when asked for it? I became pregnant on last trip over...but unfortunately had a miscarriage 2 months later, I have medical documentation from my Doctor for that as well and feel its important for them to see all this new information.

That's what i am telling you. No you can't just go in the embassy to sit and watch. The whole embassy is one big room. You are literally like 10 feet away from each window. If you don't have official American business you will not be allowed in and they will check. Yes they sure can deny you access when you have no official business there.
The room is not that big and you just sitting there takes up space. They have over 300 to 400 interviews a day there and no room for people with no appointments.

Only ones in are those with appointments or asked to come in. I have known wives that were requested to come inside. Be sure your husband has your passport with him and when he hands over his passport yours will be there too to alert them to the fact you are there.

Oh wow. Ok. Well thank you. My laywer deals with many differrent countries and informed that it is unlikely I could go in but I can at least ask, he has had clients able to go in( maybe because they were requested too or maybe from other countries) But the passport is something he hadn't told me. I will definitely do that! Thank You.

That's a lie your lawyer told you. You can't be denied to the American Citizens help side. But you have absolutely no right to be on the Immigration Unit side of the house. And it's all one big room.

Trust I been there and been inside on a Passport matter of urgency to get out the country and it was the only way I was getting in. But no they will not be letting you in for an immigration interview.

Exactly..the American Citizen Help side. That is what he was telling me. I will not be allowed into immigration side but I can not be denied into the embassy on that side. He did not lie to me. He is saying if I just want to be in the Embassy in order to sit and wait I can go to the part they can not refuse me.

Please be aware that only the interviewee (immigrating spouse) will be allowed inside the building. The US spouse will have to wait outside of the building.

Yes, I'm aware however our immigration lawyer told us he has had clients able to at least enter the building with some persistence by stating their legal rights. As US citizens they can not deny me entry into a US embassy when entering for buisness. We are not however allowed any where near the interview rooms halls windows ect.

He did tell us it does not always work, but he has had clients allowed in with that statement

There's no biometrics to schedule. You do that at interview when you are swore in. Who told you that? India is the only country that does Biometrics at another location and it's done before interview.
You should be at the  embassy queue no later than 6am.

Ok thank you so much! Well I've had conflicting reports by some. But I also understood that its typically at the interview but wanted to clarify. I'll be with my husband so we decided to get a hotel near by embassy so that we can get there quickly and avoid alot of a traffic. Thank you

  9. Lagos here! QUESTION! interview is Febryary 10th 2020. Hubby went online to register his account and there was nothing offering him a time to schedule his biometrics. His apt for interview starts 6:30 A.M february 10th and I'm told he has to have it done before he meets with the consulate officer. Do they typically just do biometrics in the morning when you check in? HOW early should we be there the morning of?

Just dont want to miss his apt ect.

Okay here some intel you all of you who wonder.

No not necessarily first come first serve. This is where your PD date (Receive at USCIS date comes into play) Many of you have DQ Oct 22. So your PD would now come into play. If there are 5 slots and 10 of you with DQ 10/22 then you will be put in order of your PD. Even DQ's around your date may get selected before you because they been waiting longer which is understandable.

Holidays are over so more slots should be opening. The problem is for Nigeria, Ghana, Mumbai and many other busy embassies there are more petitions then slots. Lagos alone conducts over 300 visitor, business and student visas a day. With about 4 to 5 K1 and IR1/CR1 interviews per day.

Wow. Only 4 to 5 IR1 and CR1 A day? That is new information and definitely puts things in perspective. So maybe only 100 something a month.

Congratulations I have added you to the spreadsheet. There are along of October and November DQ's and they aren't even close to done with October they stopped on 10/10 for January. February should come put next week. So we just have to see how far they get.

I have seen DQS for october 22nd for interviews in January. So are they not at least to October 22nd?

Ok. Yes I do understand that. We were at Nebraska and have a PO D of AUGUST 6th 2018. So hopefully that will be a good influence. I've heard that Nigeris embassy is very busy so it's not shocking we are going on two months and no interview letter. But JUST in november they had seemed to be fast getting apt for people within a month of DQ. Seems like once October hit they were bogged down again.

Just wondering if you or anyone thinks it might be possible to believe we could recieve and interview letter THIS month since we were DQ on November 13th?..or if it would be closer to February...sigh....the estimated guess. Lol. We trust God and hunker down and wait. THANK YOU very much for that information. Helpful

    Hey guys.

So what time do they usually send out interview letters? Like the last week of the month?

I think it does depend some on the consulate. But honestly I feel there is no exact formula. I'm Lagos Nigeria consulate and someone said they schedule beginning of the month. But last month they didnt start scheduling till the 15th of the month! Then I've also seen beginning of the month....then a break then a couple days at the end of month 🤯....january 13th will be twice months since our DQ!! PRAYING FOR SOMETHING SOON! good LUCK

    Hi Guys,

I am Pakistani national living in Saudi Arabia. I have question regarding Police Certificate. As per the general guidelines  i have to submit Police certificate for any country where i have stayed for more than 12 months. Based on that criteria I have to get certificate for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia which i have done. However after submitting IV application I saw two additional police certificates requests in required documents field.  One for Kuwait and another for Qatar. Now the thing is I have visited Qatar twice in my life. Once for work and other time for vacations. My first trip was for 70 days in Jan 2010 and second trip was for 2 days  in Dec 2014. As for Kuwait, I stayed there for work from Jan 2011 to March 2011 for 57 days. Clearly I don't fall into the criteria of getting police certificates from these two countries but NVC requested those anyway.

    Kuwait

Now things get bit complicated when I checked the Kuwait document reciprocity. It says

I called the Kuwait embassy in Saudi Arabia and they don't have any information.  Meanwhile , I am trying to contact Kuwait embassy in Pakistan but so far i couldn't.

My question is what are my options? Do I have to get it since it is in the list of required documents and if yes how? or just upload a paper saying that it is not available as per document reciprocity link.

    Qatar

Since I live in Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia doesn't have diplomatic relations with Qatar, so my only options are to get it though

    1. friend or relative,
    2. Qatar embassy in Pakistan (for which i have to travel to Pakistan) or
    3. through express mail.

Again, do I really have to get it when my total stay in that country is 70+2 days?   Is it worth it to talk to NVC and explain the situation. Do they issue exemption in such cases?

    Many Thanks

They did the same thing with my husband. He only lived in Nigeria but worked in Ghana for a little less that 3 months. Our immigration laywer wrote a formal letter stating the time frame he lived in Ghana, for what purpose, and then also listed the Rules stated Per NVC website of what is required for police certificates. He also signed it.

That WORKED! they accepted it and we were DQ.

That being said my lawyer did warn us that if they came back and did NOT accept the letter than it might be better to go ahead and just get the police report ONLY to keep from batteling NVC back and forth and delaying the process. So just be prepared there could be a slight possibility that letter will get rejected if they are dead set on you getting it. Pray that they MUST follow their own rules they out in place. Good Luck!

There are a few of us from mid Oct and on still awaiting IL...our DQ date is 10/22...so hopefully we hear something from the Lagos consulate in the next two weeks for Feb dates...been in this process since July 2018 CR1. So pretty over it😦...like you mentioned we too have so many plans on hold but for now just wanna be together...

0h wow really!? I knew there was still some at end of october who maybe had not recieved letter yet, I pray you will be soon. I'm sure you will! They say they go by first come first serve. Well maybe we wont hear anything till end of Janyary or even February, but we are praying we get SOMETHING in January. Seems that not alot of Nigeria keeps their status up to date all the time. COME ON NVC! good luck! Please let us know when you recieve one!
