Go bro on another forum, then. This is serious and people have had to delay the process by months because of one silly, misinformed mistake. Mods spend hours a day here just to make sure threads are in the right place.

On another note, we had our social security appointment today (for our daughter who couldn't get one right away). This was our last step until I-751. 🥲

We ask people to post about their cases in the proper forum to avoid confusing members with different requirements that do not apply to their process.  Regarding I-693 in particular, there has been a lot of misinformation in this sub-forum due to non-K1 visa holders posting about their medical for AOS.  Misinformation can lead people to waste time and money, and add stress to an already stressful process.

Anyway, to those applying for AOS from K1 visa -- I-693 is NOT required from you, as long as your DS-3025 is marked "Complete" and your I-485 receipt date is within 1 year of your K1 visa medical date.

There's several forums because the process is different. Mods/organizers recognized this and made them for a reason.

It was a suggestion to ask the question in the forum that was made specifically tied to the visa you're adjusting from.

I'm not sure what visa you're adjusting from, but this is the K1/K3 forum. Everyone in here had overseas medicals done which are good for 1 year, so the AOS medical should be waived.

We’re all volunteers here to answer questions as best as we can. We’re not getting paid to do this. We volunteer our free time to come here and try to help whenever we have time or opportunity.  And I don’t appreciate this sense of entitlement coming from you. No, nobody here will hold your hand and spend hours explaining every redundant step on how to create a profile and answer few questions to book an interview and pay a fee. It is very straightforward. This is DYI (Do It Yourself) website and each one of us “experts” has done hours of research on our own to be where we are. Nobody was holding our hands. And again, we’re volunteers.

Good luck with the rest of the process. I don’t say this often but you will probably benefit from an attorney because they get paid actual money to hold a clients hand at every step of the way (if you’re even lucky to find such a decent lawyer  of course).

molehills reacted to Joe98 in Not getting my questions answered
OK, this is the last time I will say something and this is to everyone who has replied. Yes I will admit I was told about the the us travel docs website. However, and I need everyone to hear this, absolutely none of you are telling me how to get to where I need to go or what I need to look at or anything and that includes you too Powerpuff. All everyone is saying is go this website or go to that website and not going into details about what I need to do. Some people like myself need more specific help with this stuff and none of you seem to understand this. And the ceac website has nothing to do with the k1 visa process at all, this is for the other visas. This is why I mentioned the fact that I have a lawyer who is actually trying to help me out with the specific details that people on here think I know about and I don't but you guys don't realize this. But again, I have had it with coming on here and getting treated like a child. I'm probably older than most of you who are replying with your remarks. So I will not come on here anymore for a long time if ever. You can reply if you want but you are wasting your time. I have had enough of this website and those trying to treat me like a baby. I will leave you guys alone and I suggest you leave me alone. I will let my lawyer help me with the rest of the process.

If you intend on getting married in the US, you need the K1 visa. Entering on a tourist visa and then getting married is grounds for fraud.

Aware its mainly for K1 this is also an AOS forum. I adjusted status once I was in the US, when I was visiting my husband and decided to stay. Hence no medical on entry.
OK thanks nothing to be excited about then

There is a whole AOS forum for those adjusting from other visas such as tourist, work and student (most of them marriage based). It also has a July group. Just an fyi

It is nothing personal. They are not ignoring you for any of the reasons you mentioned. USCIS processes lots of cases from people of all races and sexual orientations. You simply are not the only one who submitted a petition, so it will take a while before they get to yours. They are not sending regular updates; they don't have the capacity to do that. They will let you know if they need anything from you; otherwise, you will eventually be notified that your petition is approved and your case will be sent to the Consulate.

Spamming "the Texas building" or any other email account or phone number will not help at all. You are not out of normal processing time (not even close!), so you have no reason to demand that they look at your case. Just be patient. US Immigration is not fast.

And as @J&D1008 said, your case is more than likely at the California service center; check your receipt notice. The first 3 letters of your case number will also indicate where your case is; if your case number starts with "WAC" it is in California.

@powerpuff shared the correct processing time estimates. You will see that people who submitted their petition before April 25, 2021, are now eligible to submit a case inquiry. You have many more months of waiting ahead of you.

It would be good if you would read up a bit on the process and timelines; that would help you to not feel so frustrated or think you are being discriminated against.

    (San Bernardino, CA)
July 21, 2021: Completed and Sent our packet
    August 30: Biometrics scheduled
September 22: RFE (IRS transcript for 2020)
September 27: Received the response for RFE
December 15: Approved and Interview scheduled
    January 21: Interview
January 22: Checked and Case Approved!!

    (Interview: took 20-25 mins)
Went for our interview last Friday and we waited almost 3 hours after our scheduled time to be interviewed. The officer called us and said to wait 10-15 minutes for her to call us back for our interview. My husband and I went in together and she asked for our ID’s. She asked for our marriage certificate and Husband’s birth certificate because apparently some of out papers are not in there. Asked us if we were sure that we sent everything and we said yes.
After that, questions were asked. She mostly asked my husband. She asked about when and where we have met, if he met my parents, asked to see our rings, and asked us if we have any questions for her.
Then she asked about the yes/no questions that’s in the form. (Mostly about being imprisoned or committing crimes). Then after that she explained about how long it will take to process and said she will review our papers!
Checked today and case approved ❤️

You can request the interview date and time on USCIS's website via emma. Just say "live agent" then "greencard" when you're prompted.

We got our interview notice Jan. 4, mail still hasn't arrived. 😪

    Hello Everyone!!!
just an update on my GC interview today. It was all done and we left the building around 30-40min. The office was a lady and very polite and friendly, she started it with saying I know all the background information and everything about your relationship is already verified and done, so I’m just going to ask some questions after your marriage and verify the response on your I-485 form ( all the Yes/No questions about commuting a crime, illegal entry etc. ) with me (beneficiary) and you guys can submit any additional documents not submitted at the time of your I-485 package.
That was it and it was super friendly conversation with the officer against both of us, and every now and then she asked about things we have done together etc like trips made, what we both enjoy together etc.

    Finally she said- you’re APPROVED!!
you’ll be receiving GC in mail about 4-5 weeks time. And, if I need any additional information I’ll be sending another mail.

Using ESTA to marry and leave is fine. It's when you use the ESTA with intent to marry and adjust status (stay in the US) when it becomes fraud.
