Interviewed today and approved on the spot. Lady basically confirmed the information on the forms, asked all the 'yes/no' questions to my wife and took a few of our pictures, that's it. No hard questions and no request to see any of the documents the letter told us to take. Status has already changed to new card being produced. Now we can rest for two years! Congrats to everyone who has been approved recently!

Our Biometrics were completed on July 19th. We submitted an expedite request for the EAD the next day (July 20). As of today no further updates. I chatted with Emma on Friday and got the standard blah blah blah...just wait from the very unhelpful agent. Just wanting to vent today. Happy to see so many of you moving forward.

Hey I am in maryland too... did you have an appointment or just showed up?
We are in NC, but you must make appointment with SS office now.

Hi we are in the same boat here. Save system says the same as yours..case returned to maryland.etc etc. Just totally frustrating. I-94 expires next week. SSN office keeps saying they are waiting for DHS. We applied in person at SSN office Dec 16th. I guess there is nothing any of us can do at this point.

Just sent ours out this week and was confirmed delivered to USCIS in Chicago yesterday.

Once you receive your Visa check the expiration date. You may find it to be more than 5 months before it expires, but I am not sure how they are handling post pandemic expiration dates. We'll wait and see what yours is to get a better idea. Good luck at the interview.
Happy to report she passed her interview and picked up her visa today!!! Her visa is valid through March 14 2021. We are hoping for an October flight at this point.

Hi guys, we (or she) has her interview scheduled for Monday! The embassy called her today and told she has to come Monday or else they have no idea when they would be able to interview her again? Seems very strange to me, but hey, whatever! She has to take a new medical Monday morning then take her interview Monday afternoon. The next problem will be getting her over here, but one problem at a time! Please send good thoughts our way! Hope you guys will all be hearing good news soon! This has been the longest wait of our lives!

Though I think with the fees no longer being waived for them (as of Oct 2, anyway) a lot of people are going to look more carefully at the average processing times of their field office vs average EAD processing times before deciding to file them.
Previous guidance was to always file them (because they're useful to have even if you aren't planning on becoming employed or traveling internationally before you expect to have your green card), but when you'd save a grand by not doing so that changes the calculations, I think.
Yes, we already talked about this night and have already decided we will not file for her AP. EAD we will decide later but yes this is definitely going to change things for many people.

It'll depend on if the applicant wants to file the optional (but recommended) I-765 and I-131 forms.
Gotcha, yes, lets assume they do want to file those forms....

So can someone clarify what is the new total cost to file for AOS for a K1 applicant after the new rule goes into effect? Thanks!

Korean Air is planning to resume many flights in June (including more US flights).

"This is the first step to obtaining a K-1 nonimmigrant visa for your fiancé(e). The K-1 nonimmigrant visa is also known as a fiancé(e) visa."
The above is directly from USCIS website, if this is the case then I think us K1 applicants are ok as per the way the EO is written (in that it applies only to immigrant visas). I'm no lawyer though LOL. But this is my understanding based on the classification of the K1 and the language in the EO. Hopefully we can get someone to confirm this.

Is anyone else currently filling out their DS 160? We have gotten through the entire application, we uploaded a picture, it was accepted, but now it will not let us progress to the review or sign options. The button for the next sections is grayed out. I saved it and reopened it a few times and still nothing. I also tried multiple browsers and the same thing happens each time. Anybody have any idea what is going on? Is it just a technical issue on the gov'ts end and we need to wait it out? Thanks!!

My fiancee is starting to prepare for our K-1 interview and I am wondering what evidence she should prepare. Does she need photos and chat logs from the beginning of our relationship or just since we submitted the I-129F form? I am reading some conflicting information from other past applicants so thought I should ask what other current applicants are preparing. Thank you!

@Greenbaum would you have a P3 for Mongolia?

We are on day 50 here. Hoping we are half way to NOA 2. Its tough as we all know. We video chat twice a day but some days are just so hard. The holidays will be especially difficult. I was hoping to travel to see my fiancee but that almost 3K round-trip ticket just makes it impossible. Everyone have good holidays and hopefully our turn is coming soon!

Biometrics taken in April, no update to status
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion

We are in the same boat, same status as you and biometrics also done in August. So it seems to be normal for some. Although I'm thinking that there is nothing 'normal' about this whole process LOL!
