Are you talking about the US border with Mexico? We are staying nowhere near the US border. I have heard several stories of Ukrainians trying to enter the US through the southern border and they were denied, even when they had family in the US.

I tried contacting Mexico. The person could not answer any questions or help me in any way. He directed me to the embassy website where I had to fill out a web form. This was several weeks ago and I am still waiting for a response.

Due to the war in Ukraine, I was able to help my fiancé escape to Mexico while we were waiting for her embassy appointment. We have been in Mexico for almost two monthsk and have to leave after six months. 
 

i got notice from USCIS that her petition was approved, but the original embassy was in Kyiv. We want to switch to Mexico because it is not possible to return to Ukraine. I have tried contacting NVC, but the phone number is just a recording that doesn’t accept calls. There is a web form to contact them, but they say it takes at least two months for them to respond. How can I talk yo someone to change the embassy?

Also, she left in a hurry and was not able to obtain a police report (the offices were closed due to war). Her birth certificate was at her parents house in a city that is currently under Russian control, so she can’t get that either.

Will she be able to get approved without these documents? I read somewhere that she needs an official government document stating why these documents are not available, but it is not possible to get any official documents from Ukraine at this time.

Do you realize you are at higher risk of dying from about 100 other things than you are of covid, based on your age? If you are worried about covid, there are so many other things you should worry about first. I am 46 with congestive heart failure. I have covid right now and it just feels like I have a bad hangover. My 27 year old fiancé got it too. She lost her sense of taste for three weeks. That’s it. Yes, we are an N of 2, but if you look at the age statistics, you will see the same story. If you also read the statistics on air travel, you will see airports and airplanes have the lowest transmission rates of almost all public places. Follow the rules. Keep your distance. Wear your mask. Wash your hands. Watch out for lightning strikes too... almost as likely as you dying from covid.

Okay, I’m sorry. There are no hidden agendas, political or financial. Everything is on the up and up. All covid reporting has been 100% consistent and accurate across the world. There may be a random error of one or two cases... except in China. The communist government has been 100% accurate and transparent.

I have seen multiple news reports where several doctors say they are under extreme pressure to code deaths as covid. There are other reasons besides compensation for this. A lot of it is political in nature.

I really implore everyone... Please calm down! We know nothing at this point. I have reason to be upset too. I had to delay my trip to Ukraine to accompany my fiancé on her k1 visa appointment because the Ukraine border closed. Then the embassy closed. Things were supposed to open up in a few weeks, and now this happened.  Nobody likes this. Nobody likes what covid-19 has done to our world and the extreme measures politicians have gone to in order to combat this. I think it’s ridiculous to think Trump has political motives for doing this though. Trump’s base loves him no matter what he does. This won’t make them vote for him more. I can’t imagine a single person saying “I used to hate Trump, but because he put temporary restrictions on immigration, I will vote for him now”

This move will make Trump lose votes, if anything. Unlike most politicians, he doesn’t weigh the political ramifications of every move he makes. This is why he is so frustrating to establishment politicians. He does stuff because he thinks it’s the right decision..

I completely disagree with this decision and it is really screwing up my life plans, but I am not going to be consumed by hate  and attribute evil motives to this (dumb) EO. Just because I don’t like this, doesn’t mean Trump did this for political reasons. It doesn’t mean the EO is illegal or unconstitutional.  You can get arrested for paddle boarding  or playing catch with your kid in some states. It is illegal to buy seeds for your garden or sit in your car in a church parking lot in other states. None of these rules make any sense to me. These are crazy times, and I don’t think it’s helpful to feed into the mass Hysteria going on.

I agree 100%, especially when the government has proven it doesn’t know what it is doing. A couple weeks ago, they said it was pointless to wear a mask. Now you are a bad, stupid person if you don’t wear a mask. Next week, we will have to wear gloves and foil hats to protect ourselves. 
 

It scares me how the constitution is being violated and governors and mayors are inventing laws out of thin air. The governor of New Jersey admitted he’d didn’t even consider the bill of rights when he decided to start arresting people for doing things like going for a walk in the park.

I am moving from Illinois to Florida in June... I don't know if I am ready for such drastic changes in how things are running in this difficult time.  I needed to put a deposit on a rental house and they required me to get a money order or cashier's check and overnight it to them.  I asked about using electronic (no-contact) methods like venmo or paypal.  They were not familiar with these platforms. They wouldn't even let me Western Union the money.  "Welcome to Florida!"... I guess...
