We got YSC (Potomac) which looks like the slowest... 😕 Is this one of the centers that will require another interview?

I can't believe it's been two years! Here we are again. 😅
Our thirty day window began September 21st, and I mailed our packet today. I'm a little nervous because I omitted some blank pages that were numbered on a couple of documents... also only did last three months of bank statements, rather than a whole year. If these turn out to be problems, I hope it'll just be an RFE and not a rejection. I think our evidence is really strong, though.

No need to be snarky, it's a legitimate question. These are unsure times within the context of USCIS' power over peoples' livelihoods.

My husband also got his green card in the mail today! We are so blessed, 2019 was an amazing year for us. Thank you to everyone here for all of your help and support, and I wish the rest of you quick processing and easy interviews! We'll be back in two years for ROC 😂

This sounds exactly like our interview, we also were adjusting fron F-1. Don't sweat it - we also didn't get approved on the spot. We got approved two days later.

I completely agree. When I decided to file, I thought I would need a lawyer to assist me with this process and seeing all the forms that was needed... extremely intimidating. But after making up my mind that we could not afford the thousands of dollars to pay a lawyer... I did a whole lot of research for a month or two before being really confident to do it myself. It's not as hard as it may seem,
IF you have a pretty straightforward case. If it is complicated like having a criminal record, major visa violations, misrepresentation, etc. then a lawyer would be recommended.
I wish everyone the best and I hope all who are still awaiting updates on their case, will be getting that really soon. Keep positive, keep the faith.

Congrats on the EAD!! That should surely help with the financials!!
We also did it without a lawyer, and couldn't have done it without this community. The immigration officer complimented me on assembling all the paperwork myself, and my husband's green card was mailed yesterday. 🙌

Today December 27, 2019 I received my EAD card😊🙏🙏.Thank you everyone for being a very important part of my journey. Without all the members that shares their experiences, struggles, mistakes, hardships, ups and down, problems and everything each of you faced during the immigration application, my journey would not adjudicated in a timely manner. Me and my husband struggles financially, and I don't have the resources to pay for the lawyer to get this done. Being on the dark was really an excruciating fact for all of us! To get everything done successfully, I read, learn, research, read again some more topics here at VJ then update myself with whats new at USCIS page. AND THATS IT! Please save your $$$$thousands, its not that hard....just follow all the instructions and everythings going to be okay. 👍

So happy for you and your husband! I'm glad us August filers are starting to get interviews. Where are you thinking to go on your honeymoon?
We also had our interview today, but it was a lot different from yours.
It didn't seem like the IO really even looked at our file before calling us in, it was as if it was her first time seeing it once we were already in the room. She barely looked at our bona fide marriage evidence, including the pictures.
We also were not separated, we were in the room together. She mostly just confirmed what was in our petition, with minimal questions about our marriage.
Then we got on the topic of knowing one anothers' language, she wanted me (USC) to say something to my husband in Korean, I guess to prove that I know how to speak it?
And that was pretty much it.
Anyway, I don't know the backend of how USCIS operates, but she ended up handing us a piece of paper that said they have all of our documentation but have yet to make a final decision... She did say that the case "looks approvable", though. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what that means -- was she not the final authority on if it gets approved? I can only consider two possibilities - she did not really look through our file prior to interviewing us and wanted to review the paperwork further, or she had to get approval from another IO due to some "yes" answers to the inadmissibility questions. Korean men all have to serve in the military so he had to answer "yes" to the weapons training and foreign military questions.
To top it off, the USCIS website has been down all day so I can't obsessively check our case status LOL

Me and my husband had our interview today, Boston office. This is our experience:
1. Everybody was super helpful and nice while we waited to be called. Do not arrive more than 30 mins before your assigned time, you can only check in 30 mins prior.
2. They had the office at 80 degrees!!! I don’t know why the hell they do this but we were melting there (30 degrees outside)
3. We got called separately, I was expecting this because we are an interracial couple and observing the other couples, everybody seemed to be from the same country. I have also travel A LOT! Lived in London and Dubai at some point of my life, I always get double questions for it.
4. My husband (the petitioner) got picked first in a very intimidating way. That’s when I felt like it was 100 degrees inside 😂😂😂.
5. I got called second. First comment: “YOU TRAVEL A LOT” hahha. Then proceed to ask me about first date, personal details, husband’s parents names... when did we get married... if my husband dances... random stuff. Then summarised all the Yes No questions.
6. The interview finished with him joking about how his coworker goes to the place we went to on our first date. Then asked for the financial info. He APPROVED our case there.
7. My husband jumped of happiness and gave me a kiss in front of him😂😂😂😂.
Overall it was fine, I actually got a bit emotional remembering when we first met cause we haven’t separated since then.
no lawyers, no interpreters (I understand not everybody can do this) but for a process we worked ourself I’m quite pleased.
5 months later and I can finally plan our honeymoon!!!!!❤️
