I'm not saying the reports are imaginary. I'm saying they're false and uploaded for the sole reason of having people like you point to them.

    Uh, no you don't.

They got injured? That's the best you can come up with? The anti-vax "vaccine injury" lie? 2.97 billion people got vaccinated worldwide, but somehow you know four whole people who got "injured"? That's not even a lot, even if it was true. Also, doctors? What did these imaginary doctors have an actual doctorate in?

Not that any of this matters because it's about the vaccine requirement that's now actually in place. Even if it causes imaginary vaccine injuries like people stubbing their toes and then blaming it on the COVID shot. People can either get the shot or take a trip elsewhere.

The consulates you mentioned are unwilling to take transfers from Moscow (also Belarus immigrant visas are processed by Warsaw). Besides, Warsaw is officially the designated consulate for Russian nationals now. In the regional sub forum you will find threads where people have done it. It’s possible but not easy. You will probably have to get a Schengen visa through Greece as they’re issuing them for tourists.

This is the main question. It is at the discretion of the consulate to re-issue visas.  You can try but be prepared if the answer is no. In which case you will have to start from scratch.

Not only that, but making Poland the country Russians need to go to. When getting a Schengen visa is not easy. Especially now.

You may absolutely get the vaccine in Croatia (at least, as of October). It's a very simple process, I can give you the address of the place in Zagreb if you'd like.

In any case, I'm a bit confused in your order of operations here. If you're planning on her getting vaccinated after medical and (presumably) the interview, I'm pretty sure the US still requires you to be 'fully vaccinated' before traveling. In that case, she would need to get Janssen and wait 14 days in Croatia before coming, or else if opposed to that and wanting Pfizer/Moderna, well over a month. Just food for thought, I'm aware that China has extremely strict entry requirements even for their own citizens so her returning for whatever reason after the shot is not likely to be an option.

Some lawyers have suggested that K1 applicants like immigrants go through the same medical exam.  The medical exam for these people will include language that says no covid vaccine is available, they must be vaccinated within 60 days of arrival to the United States, they are granted an exception from covid vaccine, and their medical is approved.  This form may work as an exception issued by DHS (USCIS)?

What the lawyer says makes sense, how can you be given a piece of paper that says no vaccine available so get vaccinated in the USA, and then be denied into the USA to get vaccinated.

Just looking for a definitive answer on whether this is true or not in practice.

Unfortunately, that is not one of the listed exceptions: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/proof-of-vaccination.html
Categories of noncitizen, nonimmigrants that meet the criteria for an exception under the proclamation and CDC’s order include:
Persons on diplomatic or official foreign government travel Children under 18 years of age Persons with documented medical contraindications to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine Participants in certain COVID-19 vaccine trials Persons issued a humanitarian or emergency exception Persons with valid visas [excluding B-1 (business) or B-2 (tourism) visas] who are citizens of a foreign country with limited COVID-19 vaccine availability Members of the U.S. Armed Forces or their spouses or children (under 18 years of age) Sea crew members traveling pursuant to a C-1 and D nonimmigrant visa Persons whose entry would be in the national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State, Secretary of Transportation, or Secretary of Homeland Security (or their designees) That is probably how they'll treat it unless DOS or DHS issues a blanket NIE for the K category in regards to this most recent Proclamation. For example, Proclamation 10199 didn't exempt fiance(e)s so it had to be done via NIE: https://web.archive.org/web/20211006121001/https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/presidential-proclamation-on-the-suspension-of-entry-as-nonimmigrants-of-certain-additional-persons-who-pose-a-risk-of-transmitting-coronavirus-disease-2019.html Another similar example is how K-1 applicants were treated before the May 27, 2021 NIE announcement:
    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/k-visa-processing-update.html https://web.archive.org/web/20211101230316/https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/national-interest-exceptions-for-certain-travelers-from-china-Iran-india-brazil-south-africa-schengen-area-united-kingdom-and-ireland.html

China.  This is not the low vaccination rate country exception.   It's the no who "approved" vaccine available problem that I think is faced in Russia and by some Chinese citizens that the government has already given non approved vaccines too and some other countries where non who approved vaccines are used, I'm sure.

Yeah DS-3025 I guess.  Some people have suggested that the medical exam will allow air travel like it would if you were an immigrant, or if that exception doesn't apply, because they are K1 and K1 is not immigrant.

I'm hoping since the air travel restrictions start today, we could get an answer

Since the COVID air travel restrictions start today, can someone with K1 visa and an I-693 medical exam that waived them getting the visa because they got non-approved vaccines  (Russia, China, etc.) answer whether they were able to fly into the United States successfully with their K1 visa and I-693?

It's not clear whether the K-1 visa holders will be treated as "immigrants" and be allowed to use an I-693 that waives the requirements to travel to the USA or whether K-1 visas will be subject to the vaccine requirement, because it is not an immigrant visa.

A ban against hiring locals does not seem like it should should shut the embassy down completely. It seems like we are just upset that we've lost cheap labor, and refuse to hire and train Americans to send to work abroad. I know that diplomats have been expelled from Moscow in a ####### for tat sort of move, but I don't recall reading that Moscow is limiting the number of Americans working in the American embassy. Admittedly. I could be completely wrong.  Again, excuse my cynicism.

I just submitted an inquiry on the public inquiry forum yesterday, so we'll see how that goes. I'd much prefer that route myself. But it just raises a lot of questions as well. (Schengen visas, backlogs, medicals, not to mention the issue about covid vaccines which is a separate issue)

    Hey everyone,

I just signed up here on Visajourney yesterday. Place seems like a pretty legit source for info, or atleast the links that source official information, so here I am.

With all of the recent happenings, Warsaw becoming the de facto embassy for the "homeless" Russians,  does anybody think that this could be grounds for further lawsuits?

I have yet to even hire an immigration attorney, but at this stage, things are becoming so complex. I'm sure I will need to get one in the near future.

I respect and appreciate the men and women who work these jobs at all these government agencies, and I am not in it to hassle anyone, just,  I personally feel this is getting a little bit ridiculous. Some of you have been waiting years and there is still no end in sight. (I am stuck at NVC, NOA2 was the last thing I received, plus a few emails from NVC telling me that covid is causing delays, yada yada, do not take further action at this time.)

It's not something I want to do, but I want to live without my fiancee for another year, even less.

I'm especially curious about K1 visa holders who do not meet the criteria as being fully vaccinated.  Will they be processed as non-immigrant or immigrant travelers?  There is no explicit exemption for K1 in the CDC rules I've seen so far.

My surprise is simply that the US has all the approved vaccines (i.e., 'all the cards'), and it would be illogical to assume that every person seeking entry would have equal access to the same vaccines. This is why the EU approach permits entry with a covid test, though some member states (like Poland) still require an additional quarantine. I'd wager that many people from Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia who are now de facto banned from US travel would happily have consented to vaccination on arrival. I don't argue against a 'my house my rules' approach, I just feel like this has unfortunately serious implications for a country like the United States.
I've heard conflicting things about Sputnik (and don't know if this is the appropriate thread to discuss it...), but I would nonetheless say it should've been included in the list solely because it was (a) the first COVID vaccine and (b) so many people have it and cannot get another because of it. What I will say is that Sputnik is undoubtedly more effective than any of the Chinese vaccines, and their inclusion is thus bewildering to me.

I digress. I just find it awfully sad that we've allowed a new travel ban to take effect that most people don't realize the full extent of. I feel absolutely awful for all those affected by this, particularly because this new approach seems to classify anyone who can't come as doing so out of choice, whereas that's simply untrue for so many.

There's actually a third option... NOT getting the jab, and going on with their lives just fine and dandy.

And I'll add to @brendaaa story with my own anecdotal data... my family knows five people who have died after getting vaccinated.  One was late 40's, and otherwise healthy.  Got the first jab of Sinovac, started having bleeding issues that night, and died within three days.  The others, I think they died after the second jab, but cannot actually remember all the details.

Death and adverse reactions are NOT imaginary my friend.  Just because you don't want to believe it does not render the cases untrue.
