i , like many others here, married in Morocco taking the needed documents to marry and being prepared to get them translated is the big part Then u go to US embassy and get an affidavit of eligibility to marry take that to Rabat to office of foreign Minister and then to home city (or providence) to meet with police and judge judge will send in the application while u wait for the notice to return (when approved) and sign the document and u r married how big the celebration is afterwards depends on how many days u are there and money / but at least a 1 day celebration is important to the family Moroc will keep originals of documents u take (some like birth, divorce papers, death of former spouse ) are important so get certififed copies for your records and the interview its not difficult / its just follow the guides on US Casa embassy And understand many a K1 in morocco is denied and the couple have wasted 2 years and have to follow thru with marriage and u would not be doing a K3 /they are obsolete

1st check the following site for red flag issues in Moroc a big age difference matters a lot / as it was in our case the USC should not be sending money to support the Moroccan https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html Casa also likes to see the couple has spent quality time together for either visa but spouse visa with quality time together is stronger proceedure to marry in Moroc can be found here https://ma.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/marriage-information/#:~:text=Marriage in Morocco&text=Marriages cannot be performed at,U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca. u will find the big expense is the translation of US documents into Arabic the dresses for the post marriage ceremonies are more than beautiful cost of spouse visa ends up to be cheaper than the process for K1 as after marriage in US it is $1225 to adjust the bene's status Understand that no matter which way u go photos of u with the Morccan"s family especially mother are important as family needs to approve the marriage Moroccan families also like to be part of the celebrations after the marriage paperwork is signed / they love music and a party I would say marry in Morocco /Casa does deny many K1's and then u have to start all over again by marrying and doing CR1 best to u both

Possible deportation?
JeanneAdil replied to Skip2019's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
your partner went to a lot of work to prove your visa if the person now claims to immigration it was "a sham" or not bona fida, he is also liable What is the penalty for sham marriage for green card? no one can just get a married spouse sent back by reporting them Both the US citizen and the immigrant involved can face prosecution. Immigrants convicted of marriage fraud may be imprisoned for up to five years, fined up to $250,000, and face deportation. US citizens involved in fraudulent marriages may also face fines, jail time, and potential deportation.Jun 15, 2023 -
Moroccans can apply for asylum at these cities that are Spanish but it doesn't give them work mostly they like to try for Ceuta as its the closest to Spain and they can swim to a ship as a stowaway but to get asylum storming the wall doesn't work / they need to enter at the place for border patrol to cross into the cities legally asking for asylum You can apply for asylum when you arrive in Spain at ports, airports and at the land borders of Ceuta and Melilla.

Petitioner haven't filed Taxes
JeanneAdil replied to Muhaimin's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
No, and the USC fills out the form and must provide the IRS as i said the I 864 is filled out and wet inked signed by the USC not the immigrant also needs to show proof of US residency your joint sponsor will do the I 864a and provide proof of US residency if u send in a letter stating no taxes signed and not the IRS letter(which is easy to get) expect to be put in AP and asked by CO to get the proof most people need an income to live in the US so if she is married and on a joint tax return with her spouse, she has filed taxes -
Looking for affordable K1 visa lawyer
JeanneAdil replied to Willybeans23's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
totally agree you provide all the information as u could do yourself on the petition one of their office workers types it out (not the lawyer himself) you sign it and are responsible for all info to be correct and many have been caught up in mistakes the attorney offices has made later on in the process Lawyer does not walk u thru the remaining process or do any more without an additional fee AND A CHEAP LAWYER IS JUST THAT "CHEAP" If u are not prepared to do the K1 pettion yourself , the AOS after US marriage will floor u and that costs $1225 without the lawyer Why K1 when the spouse visa is less work and has so many more benefits like getting the SS #, a Driving license , the immigrant can work after POE? -

you do not do this its up to the USC to request the following when the case is at NVC stage (not before) To request a IRS Verification of Non-filing Letter visit: www.irs.gov/individuals/tax-return-transcript-types-and-ways-to-order-them. This service is offered free of charge by the IRS and can be obtained through three different options: Online. By Telephone. -

Letter of intent to marry is a formal statement letter from each of u that u will marry within 90 days of US entry The 2 letters (1 from each of u )do not need to notartized Photos of living together? any copy of a lease showing both names? -
U are going to be allowed to vote among many other benefits Knowing who your Congressmen and President and what the 3 branches are / u need to know this to vote with knowledge like what office is a person running for? what are the job duties of that office? what party does he/she represent and what are the beliefs? u need to know more than just these 100 questions and all us USC's took American history and studied the government in school and college/ at that time we knew these answers as we had too and back in my day I had to list Presidents in order with the dates in office /so to me these questions look rather easy. Yeah , u study 100 and they ask 10 and u only need to know 6 asking all 100 would be more fair

US marriage certificates always have the original birth last name even for a woman , its maiden name even my 2nd marriage has my maiden name K1 visa does not allow him to work after marriage /he will need to go thru the AOS process for EAD study the guides above to familiarize yourself with the process but yes, apply for the SS # but this alone does not allow him to work After entering the US, a K-1 fiancé(e) can apply for a US Social Security Card. However, the application should be submitted two weeks after entry so that the government's “SAVE” system is up to date when you visit the Social Security Administration (SSA).Sep 24, 2023
