    Today sucks, my 6 months of being here anniversary and I got in a car wreck that totalled my 2 month old car.

    I had stopped at a stop sign  looked both ways and pulled out slowly as a school zone and didn’t see til too late the speeding suv rushing toward me which hit me passenger side on and flipped my car on to its side and pushed it about 35 ft across the road.

    Im okay just soft tissue damage to a lot of my left side and bruising in multiple places but it’s my fault because I came out of the side road doesn’t matter he was speeding.  Didn’t get a ticket yet but could still. Also not sure if insurance is going to cover us yet. I’m an occasional driver on the policy.  Still no update on my case I think it’s sat on a shelf gathering dust

    😥😥😥😥

    I hope your insurance covers the costs! On the flip side, you could use the crash and bills as a reason for expedite if your EAD isn't approved yet.

    Hi everyone, we just got an update on our EAD status to "NEW CARD is being produced"!!(applied 3rd of June)
    AOS case is still "case is ready to be sceduled for an interview" and Travel Document is still " case was received".

    i always thought that EAD card will be processed along with the travel document, but i guess not ?

    Timings for AOS interviews are crazy loooong for every state ,but at least i am hoping we all get our EADS soon :)

    Congrats!!!

  3. Update on above post, I got the following updates in the case history. Do they send the information by email or regular mail?

    I agree with this. They should update to “everything is ok”  or something similar.

    I wish the entire application process was online!! An online website can more accurately describe all the forms required and validate them. If there is a need for RFE, they can be submitted immediately and also save a ton of paper!

    How does one request an expedite please? I could not find that information online.

    1. Call Customer service: 1 (800) 375-5283.
    2. Press 1122 to go to the customer service representative(tier 1 rep) option directly
    3. Enter your receipt number as directed by the automated voice
    4. Wait for the tier 1 rep to answer.(I had to wait 40 mins.)
    5. Tier 1 rep will present you with reasons for expedition:
      1. Severe financial loss to a company or person, provided that the need for urgent action is not the result of the petitioner’s or applicant’s failure to:
        1. File the benefit request or the expedite request in a reasonable time frame, or
        2. Respond to any requests for additional evidence in a reasonably timely manner;
      2. Urgent humanitarian reasons;
      3. Compelling U.S. government interests (such as urgent cases for the Department of Defense or DHS, or other public safety or national security interests); or
      4. Clear USCIS error.
    6. Pick the one that's appropriate and give them the reasoning.

    Yay!! I feel happy for everyone!!  my office Phoenix have had people waiting for 2 years for the interview, but I am glad other offices are working on their backlog for real!!  I wish I could move my mailing address to a not too busy office, is that possible?  like using a friend's address as mailing ?

    That might raise issues with background checks. Especially since you need to provide complete address history for naturalization again. I would definitely advise against it since you already have the EAD/AP combo card.

    You could give calling them a try but I think I remember someone on this thread whose interview notice letter was lost and they called, and the only response they got was that they could fax them the letter if it didn't arrive within 5 days. I can't recall if they would give them the date over the phone. But never hurts to try. Im sorry its so difficult my husband had a similar problem, and someone else had actually already asked for the day of our interview off because of their kid's school graduation. So they only gave him a few hours off, it was tough. Hope it works out for y'all

    Maybe your wife can speak to her supervisor and explain the situation since it's a pretty important day to take off. Worse case she's gonna have to call out sick for the day. You wouldn't want to have to reschedule your interview!

    I called USCIS today. They said they couldn't find the information in the system and that the interview not scheduled?? They said there's a request to schedule the interview in the system but no a date. I'm so confused.

    You'll get a notice a month in advance of the interview. You should be getting a letter in the next few days.

    Only a maximum of 2 people can be off on the same day at her job and in order of seniority. So, everyone tries to get their vacation requests at least 2-3 months in advance. She already cannot take time off close to almost any major holidays/ long weekends because other people have higher seniority.
