Then you are the same as most here.

EAD/ AP are processing at 6.5 to 8.5 months st the NBC.

Your I485 timeline will be based on the processing times of your local field office. Once you determine that by inputting your zip code in the link in the above comment you can use the USCIS processing times website to find out the estimated processing times for your LFO for family based I485 applications.

    Thank you!

  2. Current Status: Working for a public university on H1B Visa. Married to an American citizen and applied for for AOS & EAD/AP. I received the initial NOA and waiting for Biometrics NOA. We both hate our jobs and the pay is mediocre but there aren't many opportunities in our small town. We are planning to move for better opportunities. But I won't be able to change my job until I get the EAD approved.

For anyone that was in a similar situation, I have a few questions,

    1. When did you start you job search? Was it before or after you got your EAD approved?
    2. Were employers willing to wait until the EAD is approved?

           3. If I do find a job at a much higher salary, will USCIS consider it as a valid reason to expedite?

           4. Do you have any tips on how to communicate the status during interviews?

    Thank you!
