We can't send our I-751 for another two weeks, but I checked our AOS application and our I-129F to see what we did. We wrote in N/A for everything except the signature, which we left blank. Our applications were all accepted without any RFEs, so I'll be doing it this way again.
I got my receipt number back today. This time I didn't fill N/A in any fields

Yes, I think it was just a computer error that a person didn't catch, but should have. They tell you in the instructions to us "N/A" if something doesn't apply to you, but the "signature" slots may be handled differently by their scanning systems. Once the scanner sees something in one of those boxes, it wants to see a traditional signature of some kind...N/A doesn't fit the profile. That error should have been caught by someone, especially since you and your wife had signed in the proper places.
Good luck with your re-submission....
Thank you!

So you're saying that you and your wife signed where you were supposed to, but you wrote in "N/A" for the preparers signature and they kicked it out as invalid?
The only thing I can think of is that when they scanned that page it's algorithm is looking for a signature or no signature in that box, and it kicked out as an invalid entry.
Writing in "N/A" should have been fine since you both signed in the proper places.
Yeah, as I could see there was no issue with my application. Submitted a very similar application for I-765 and had no issues then. I just left them all blank this time.

Submitted again with all blanks. Had no issue when filing I-765 with N/As.

Exactly, not a single word or character on those fields; all blank.
Thanks! I will leave them blank this time.

We've done so on every form: all fields blank.
Just to be clear, you submitted them all blank without filing in N/A or None in the blank fields?

Example of form I-751 filled in from VJ: https://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-751.pdf
Do we have leave those empty fields as is without filing in N/A ? I signed in part 7 and my spouse signed in part 8

I just got my package back. It says "Signature of person preparing the form, if other than above" block is not a valid signature. I left it blank while printing and wrote N/A along with on all the other blank fields. Should I have left it blank?

Check April 2021 filers: someone on that thread got their package returned and from what I recall, it took some weeks.
If the package is returned no case number is assigned, and you can correct the mistake and send the same package.
A few months ago, it would take 6 weeks for people to receive a text message, now it seems the average is 1-2 weeks.

In general, packages are returned if a signature on the form is missing or the payment is wrong.
Missing documents, blank fields, unchecked boxes, etc., are reasons to get an RFE.
So you will very likely receive an RFE.
Regarding your notice, it might be on the way to your home already. 2 to 4 weeks is within the normal waiting time.
Good luck!
Do you know how soon they are returned? Is a case number generated even if the package is returned? Still waiting on getting a text/email notification

Checking my email and text every 30 mins for case# 😓. I can't stop worrying whether I put in the wrong address for USCIS on the mail, should have taken a picture.

I sent my package with USPS certified mail, I was able to track it, It took longer than the Priority service, a week to be precise. We’ve got our case number now. USPS has been very reliable and reasonably priced. 48 Pages in total
I did the same. How long did it take to get a case number?

Do I need to also send passport-style photographs of me and one for my husband?
I think they get taken during your biometrics appointment. If you get a waiver for it, they would use the ones from your last appointment.

My USC wife was fired from her job yesterday... 2 days after our GC interview. She''s in shock and this will definitely impact our lives heavily . On a positive note, at least she wasn't fired before our GC interview.

Your question might be more appropriate for the ROC forum. Good luck!
Thank you!

Thank you! We both will be taking education loans.

Hi,
I've been just approved for a green card! But both my USC wife and I are planning to go back to school in the next year. It's highly likely that we both will be in school and won't have employment during the 90 day period to apply for removal of conditions. Will this cause a problem? Or should at least one of us keep an employment? -

Our Green card was approved today! We went their 30 mins ahead and the whole process was a breeze. The status on USCIS website was updated at the end of the day.
The IO was really nice. The whole interview process with the IO took about 25 mins.
- Started us off with an Oath.
- Asked me questions from my application like current employers, length of stay at the current address, etc.
- Asked me all the standard yes/no questions that are on the I-485 form
- Asked my USC wife about our story.
- Asked about our families and if we met each other's families
- Asked us about our health insurance and car insurance. They are separate.
- Looked at our originals for birth certificates and marriage licenses.
-
Asked and took some additional documents from us for joint accounts and photos.
- Submitted a home lease agreement and joint credit card transactions that have both our names on it.
- Submitted a copy with both of our licenses copied onto the same page.
- Submitted individual bank mail with the same address on it.
- Told us we should expect the card in 1-3 weeks!

For the Greencard interview, does anyone know how many photos should I take? Should they be on a photographic paper or just color printouts?

5 days since I sent Fax with evidence for Expedite request for EAD but no change in the status. I'm getting worried if they actually received it or not

Yes you can do it on weekends , I used UPS store to fax it. Didn’t want to use online, but I guess that works too.
Was you status updated after the fax was sent or was the next status update approval?
Need to travel and can't find my Green Card

I need to travel out of US in a couple of days. But I can't find my conditional Green card. The conditional GC expired 2 years ago but I have the extension letter as my petition for removal of conditions is still processing.
Would I be able to get back into the US, or will I have any trouble?
