Pats5415 got a reaction from Crazy Cat in Applying for Firearms ID
Wow that’s wild, I wish it was like that here but unfortunately we have strict gun laws. It’s a process to get something that the 2nd constitution just allows us to have.

You have go to a firearms safety course, then fill out an application at the police department, get fingerprinted and then the state has to approve the application. I guess so cause on a section of the form it asks why are you requesting a license (hunting, self defense)

Pats5415 got a reaction from Caboose29 in Pros vs. Cons of US Citizenship
My opinion: If you immigrate here and have the opportunity to become a citizen you might as well go all the way. It's absolutely worth it with all the examples listed In this post, especially not having to deal with immigration anymore.

Pats5415 reacted to SusieQQQ in Updating SSN during Covid
I did my oath when you could register to vote right after the ceremony, though I did it online when I got home that afternoon. I have stated I was a citizen on my tax return and voted (in both the primary and presidential elections) last year. SS still not updated. No problem with anything. SS number does not determine your status.

Don't think it matters color or black and white. As long as it's a legible photocopy.

Pats5415 got a reaction from ms80 in How bad is ROC?
These are all true possibilities and I've thought of all of these when I went through the process. Immigration in any way shape or form is probably one of most stressful, expensive, confusing, tiring experience a person can go through. I have had my fair share of sleepless nights of all the "what ifs" scenarios and it mentally destroyed me. With all the adversities an immigrant has to go through to get to where they need all I can say is if you know everything is legit and you have all proper paperwork... ROC process or any other will go fine. Waiting and the unknown definitely is hard and sometimes impossible....but that's part of what we sign up for when we do this stuff unfortunately.

It all depends on you. You will read all sorts of experiences on this site but it won't determine how yours will go. In my experience, I filed May 2019 and completed the ROC process April 2020...no RFE or interview. I sent in a lot of evidence. Its a lot of patience and playing the hurry up and lets wait game.

Pats5415 got a reaction from aslam khan in N400: How to check submitted application
Where are you filing from? You can download your case snapshot when you login to your USCIS account and click under documents tab.

Pats5415 reacted to NEW CITIZEN in Looking for some clarification
You are a US Citizen, you can state it, and don't need to prove it.
Its up to the employer to verify your status now!!!

Pats5415 got a reaction from USAjune2016 in Help I-751 pending since Feb2019
Wow that's a while. When he calls just request to speak to one for more specifics on the case. It could be that if he is in que for an interview so is his I-751.

Does he have an estimated completion date for N400? USCIS definitely is not processing in order which it was first received so maybe soon? I think it doesn't hurt to call and speak to a level 2 IO and see if he is in line for an interview.
