Well that's good then, they have records of the i-90 and that you sent it in good time. It does unfortunately take "forever" for something that should be easy and quick to fix.

The reason you got the letter is because in USCIS system you're a conditional greencard holder and should file for ROC. This is why it's important to file the i-90 for correction the second you receive the card with the wrong info on it, so it's corrected before the system thinks you should file your ROC. So at this point, since it doesn't appear that you have had it corrected, you will be "flagged" in the system if you don't file for ROC, and since you're technically not a conditional greencard holder you can't file for ROC. It's a catch 22.

While many applicants file their ROC too late and are just fine, even by several years, others receive letters about their status being terminated and a notice to appear in immigration court. So be prepared that this COULD potentially happen. In the end you will be fine as it's not your error, but not having your status corrected at day 1 could lead to some extra work and headaches.

You can disregard that courtesy letter about filing the I-751.

    1.  On what date were you married?
    2.  On what date was your Adjustment of Status approved?
If your Adjustment was approved 2 years or more after your marriage date, there is no need to file an I-751.   Just wait for the corrected card.

HF & HB reacted to Jun2580 in AOS Interview Questions! (Marriage Based)
Hi, I thought I wanted to share with you all what kind of questions were asked at the marriage-based AOS interview. Can anyone tell me how yours went, and the overall flow of the interview?

I am going to share mine. My US spouse and I got called separately (my spouse first, and me second). The interviewer asked my spouse about 20 questions (which I thought were way more than I had expected, after I read everyone's experience on here), and took note of every answer to check if I will give her the same answers later. After my spouse finished the interview, my name was called and here is the flow of what I went through. By the way, I have no criminal history, no health issue, and no immigration issue in the past.

    1) When I entered the room, I was asked to raise my right hand and swear to tell them the truth during the interview.
    2) First, she went over my application and asked me to answer the following:
    ---What is your full name?
    ---What is your birthday?
---What is your place of birth?
    ---What are your parents' names?
----What is your spouse's name? Including middle name
    ----What is your spouse's birthday?
----How did you last enter the US?
----(Going over the application) Have you engaged in any illegal activities etc (She asked me about 20-30 similar questions, to all of which I answered no).

    3) Then she asked me to submit any documents that prove that our marriage is based on true love. She counted the number of pages of the documents I submitted and asked me to sign a paper.

    4) Finally the interview questions. (She asked me so many, so I am going to write all I can remember. )
----How did you come here today?
    ----What type of car?
----How did you and your spouse meet?
----What is the date of your wedding?
----What did you do after the wedding?
----What did you eat at the wedding reception?
----Did you eat cake? What kind of cake?
----How many people attended your wedding? and how many witnesses?
----What kind of siblings do your spouse have?
----What bank do you and your spouse use?
----Do you and your spouse have a joint bank account?
----Do you have TV and/or internet at home? What provider?
----Do you have a cellphone? From which company? How about your spouse?
----Where do you and your spouse work? How much does each of you make?
----What did you and your spouse do last night?
----Do you live in an apartment or a house? If apartment, what's the rent? Who owns the property?
----Who do you live with? Any roommates? What are their names?
----Do you have a washer and a dryer at home?
----Where do you put your dirty clothes? How about your spouse?
----What's the color of the bathroom?
----Is there a window in the bathroom?
    ----Describe your bathroom.

After that, she asked if I have any questions. And she did not tell me if I passed the interview or not. My USCIS online case status has not been updated, so I am still nervous if I did okay.

    Anyone, please share your experience!

We called the USCIS and talked to a Tier 2 Officer.
She told us that we just need the I-693 part with the vaccinations.
So yes you are right, no medical exam. And yes.. sadly it is up to the individual IO. Because everyone tells you other things.

HF & HB reacted to Angge in Adjustment of status interview questions
    Hello guys,
just want to put my two cents on the adjustment of status interview my husband and I had this morning.
Our interview schedule time is 9:15am at San Jose Field Office and we arrived at the location 30 minutes before our interview. After my husband had his biometrics at one of the windows, we were instructed to take a seat and wait for our number to be called. After a few minutes of waiting that felt like hours, our number is called and the nice officer greeted us and took our I-797 Notice of Action along with the attached number given to us at the reception. Mind you, my husband and I were a bit nervous because at the waiting area there are a lot of couples that brought along their attorneys and after some time they leave the room looking flabbergasted.
So as the nice officer led us to her office, we were both sworn in and Here comes the questions.
First, she asked my husband how we met, she asked him to elaborate on the dates
Second, she asked about our living conditions
Third, she clarified whatever we inputed on the form we submitted on filing for I-485.  Once in a while, I will ask permission to step in the conversation whenever I feel my husband is trying to explain a certain situation especially when he came here in the US.
Then she ask when did my husband started working and asks about our pictures together. We gave her a bunch of pictures along with a little narrative on where and who were in the picture with us.
After that, our interview was approved on the spot! We wanted to scream and all but managed to contain ourselves. A little tip, the officer did not ask for any other documents but I took it upon myself to give it to her for her record like our lease agreement, joint bank account and my recent paystubs and the most current w2 forms etc. anything that will solidify your relationship. I gave it to her since on the original submission of I-485, we did not have those yet. So all in we both thank the officer who interviewed us and headed home. The interview only lasted a little over 12 minutes. After that I checked on uscis website that my husband's green card is being produced and will come in the mail in as little as 30 days.
So for everyone still waiting for their interview, relax and be calm and bring all necessary documents. I know every interview varies but I just want to share our experience and hope that somehow this will help others who are going and went through the same thing we did. This website visajourney truly helps a lot. It sure helped me and my husband with our journey. More power
    thanks

    Ooo I see.

Just show up to your interview. Tell them you lost it. The guy at the front desk will look you up with your A number and print it.

I know they can use A-number because I just came from interview and my bar code couldn't scan. So he put my A number and saw that indeed I was scheduled to come in.

Don't freak out. Go to your interview. Do you remember time and date?

Actually, you can sign up for an online service for maybe $5 or $7 dollars. You get a fax number and the faxes get directed to your email inbox. You do not need a machine.
    https://www.efax.com

I just know that it is easier for an agent to fax than to email. Do not know why they don't have access to email. (At least, when I tried, they didn't). Recently, someone reported they got their interview notice resent via email. It might have been an RFE.

If sending it electronically is not possible, be ready to provide a fax number. That may be easier for the agent to do.

@HF & HB I think the wording on the letter is "You do not need to bring your children". If you have no other options, I would just bring the child. Bring treats and hope the officer is OK with it.
If you create a USCIS account, I think you should be able to request a copy of your interview letter through there.

But security has the ultimate say in who is allowed into the building/office. With COVID especially, it's totally understandable that they're still limiting who gets to come in or not. It'd be an unnecessary and aggravating way to start off the interview. Federal agents won't appreciate applicants not following clear rules.

Post Covid Rules for USCIS offices:

Note that toddlers or babies are not in the above list of people allowed to accompany applicants.  That is, unless the toddler is listed as a dependent on the interview notice.

Granted, but I cannot fathom a rule wherein parents would be prohibited from bringing their toddler.  Barring bringing in a friend or a sibling or someone who is not your attorney, sure, but a toddler?  I would be astounded.

My husband and I brought our young son with us to our AOS interview  (can't remember his exact age but definitely in "toddler" range.)  No problem at all.

    Good luck at your interview!

Check your USCIS account. You may get it there.

Additionally, if you have a picture of it, that'll do. You don't need the actual original paper from USCIS

But that was pre-covid, so not so relevant.  OP, you should definitely confirm whether or not you can bring him, before the appointment.

Post-covid, rules and protocols have changed significantly.  The Tukwila USCIS field office was even closed for awhile.
