It sounds a reasonable option as she hasn’t retired yet .. update at interview if needed

We got married very quietly (only her best friend as a witness) in October of '16 and were planning a big party for summer of '17 when my nieces and nephew would be home from school.  Then we got pregnant and that put an end to the big party idea. When we filed the I-130 paperwork, I included a letter detailing our relationship up to that point and explained why the wedding was small, but it really wasn't necessary.

Courthouse wedding here, too. We don't like attention. You'll be just fine.

we also wanted just me and my husband .  But then his friends became offended, they wanted to spend this day with us, plus the husbands parents live in the next state, and they wanted to come.  So we decided to buy a suit and a white dress, I made a haircut, we ordered a bouquet and a photographer for 2 hours, we ordered a restaurant for 15 people.  We spent $ 2,000, but we had a great time with his friends and family, and we have a lot of beautiful wedding photos.  By the way, we signed the court house, and his friends took time off from work for a couple of hours to hold a ceremony with us.  You can spend some money, but have a great time.

We had a courthouse wedding and actually got married with 4 other couples out in the hallway.
We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner afterwards.
There are no pictures of that day. Just great memories.

We had a wedding ceremony in late May  of the same year that our families and some friend attended.

I bought my wife a $10.00 dollar white dress at H&M on sale in Phoenix for casual wear but when she saw it she wanted it to be a wedding dress.   Everyone drove down to Magdalena,Sonora for a courthouse wedding with 3 witnesses and both of our parents.  Afterwards we headed to my in laws house and prepared an all night party in the backyard with rain and everything you could think of.  My wife's aunt made us a wedding cake for free, my parents and I chipped in for all the food/drinks etc.  We all had a blast!  We also rented 4-5 tables for $80 bucks.  Then my parents and us headed to Puerto Penasco,Mexico by car for our sort of honeymoon at a beach house for a couple of days.  A year and a half later we had our interview at the consulate in Juarez and now we are here living in Tucson. So even we got approved despite being on a shoe string budget.  Its clearly understandable that people don't have money for a real wedding.

We had just a court house wedding with 2 friends as witnesses, later on went to a bar and ate pizza .
A few pictures from that courthouse ceremony are the only pictures in our AOS package and we asked our witnesses to make a notarized affidavit for us .
That is all and I hope enough.

We went to grocery shopping at Walmart afterwards lol
We almost did self solemnization. So happy the court lady told us that it is not a good idea.
I was just worried that they would judge us as less serious because we didn't have a wedding.

I wore a sundress that I spent less than $50 (and still wear regularly to work)... my husband had khakis and a dress shirt.  We have a whopping 2 wedding pictures.  We planned on having the minister marry us right at Niagara Falls, since it was October, we didn’t think it would be as busy, we were wrong, so we stayed up in the garden area, just a random spot by a tree.  And then we went for dinner, and then home.  Never had a big celebration either.  Some people want the big, fancy, expensive wedding and that’s great, but not everyone wants that, and that’s not always possible with a K1 visa.  As long as the marriage itself was legally performed, you’re good to go

Not an issue. Many do not have a wedding. My husband and I got married in a park. Only people there was the person marrying us plus a friend of ours who took photos.

My husband and I did not have wedding because we have no family here at all. So we didn't make a big deal out of it and just celebrated to ourselves at home. We do not care about wedding celebration. We rather spend money on honeymoon but I‘m concerned it doesn't look good on the application??
