    Hi!
I just got my interview letter today 😁 it is scheduled for December 18th.
I filed I-485 on may 5th, got an RFE on June 29th, and had my biometrics done on august 26th 👍

    I hope you are right,

I just spoke with an USCIS advisor - I can expect 30-36 Months for EAD-

I had requested expedite on my application for EAD  since submitting the  application to the lockbox facility.

It was not applied during the processing at the lockbox facility - they lost my application for 30 days.
After finally receiving a receipt number i called to request an expedite-

This was all denied due covid19 and lack of biometrics

After my Biometrics appointment 14th of august i have continually tried to get an update on my expedite request.

i keep being advised that a request is in and you will receive an answer within 5 days...
Since the 14th of august i still have not received any update.

I have registered for callbacks from tier 2 multiple occasions but no callback received.
keeping positive is difficult beyond meassure - having confidence in the Process and USCIS is even more difficult at this stage.

how do you guys cope.... Vodka - Whiskey  Yoga Stand up paddling ???

I am afraid i will end up spilling  my drink glas of the paddle board whilst doing downward facing dog salute to the sun.....

Another update: AP&EAD status changed to approved on 3rd Sept 2020. AoS is still "interview ready to be scheduled".

Thank you for your responses @AMJ6 and @Leonardo107

I spoke with someone on the USCIS live chat, they weren't really helpful, just said not to worry about it! I guess not much we can do then...just wait!

Am sorry to hear that! You've got more 'evidence' than I have, so that's disheartening. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, If I can help, I applied for, and successfully got, emergency advanced parole in July. It was valid for 30 days.

My application was also at the NBC and I just received the approval notice for my EAD, I honestly don't think the 27-36 months is a real thing..

Filed for I-485, I-765, I-131 (adjusting from K1) on 3/13/20, NOA on 3/20/20, biometrics on 8/6/20. Status for I-485 changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" on 8/7/20 and changed to "interview was scheduled" today! Called USCIS and they said they mailed out the interview appointment letter today and that it should arrive this week or next week. So happy!! Hoping for good news for everyone else soon too!

Thank you for sharing. The forum is great, no doubts! It helped me a lot during the AOS filling process and it is good to follow up similar timelines. I’m trying to help others, as give back gift.

I read several times all the forms, instructions, articles, news, regulations, everything that has been writing about AOS, I read. What brings me sad is how slow things are... and this is our lives! How I feel in such insecure position, even though I’m sure I did everything correct, following all the “rules of the book”.

I’m stuck with my career, waiting for the working authorization, at the same time,
praying every single day for not having a family-emergency in my  home country.

I’m sorry to open my chest here, maybe not the right space for that. Thank you so much for continuing sharing every development in your process!

    I wish luck to all!

I’m so sorry for you guys! Good luck on your appointment tomorrow. Maybe you can try and get the EAD expedited? I know you can also try it based on financial hardship. Would be worth giving it a shot.

My NOA was from June and I had mu Bio last week!! That is a joke, I am sorry. I have seen people mention their case did not update online/or receive a notice in the mail about their Bio, and only found out when their appointment was when they called USCIS. I am sure you have already tried that, but just a tip in case you haven't.

I saw that in the website and I’m in panic. Really, I’m trying to be positive and open, and do my best... but this process in draining me. I don’t even have a Bio Appointment and my Noa is from May. Many on this group have their process ready to schedule the interview. Now... with this new processing timelines... I feel like a joke.

Drawing attention to something being discussed on the April AOS filer's forum about EAD applicants

Recently the USCIS has updated its processing times online to:

EAD (I-765) filers seeking Employment Authorisation based on a pending I-485 Application for Permanent Residency (Green Card) via the National Benefits Center is now taking an average: 28.5 Months to 37 Months! This just jumped from applications being processed with a file date in Feb 2020.

Several people spoken to Tier 2 agents and getting different responses: some saying it's likely a glitch, but cannot confirm. Other agents saying it is accurate and the time range for approval really has been extended that much.

Just checked my own Biometrics letter (my appointment was Aug 13th). It says it was for I-485 and I-765 and says Code 2. No-one at the appointment seemed to think I had an incorrect code.

Sharing some very (possibly exciting) news!

    My Timeline:
    AOS packet filed May 22
    NOA1 June 02
**Emergency Advanced Parole granted July 01**  During which, I had my Biometrics taken at my Local Field Office. I wasn't scheduled for my Biometrics with a notice related to my AOS yet, but they needed to take my prints etc in order to grant the emergency parole.

Today, (04 July) I woke up to an email saying my case status had changed. I logged on to MyUSCIS to see it wasn't for my EAD or AP, but my Adjustment of Status is 'Ready to be scheduled for Interview' and will be contacted shortly with the details!

This is obviously very exciting and a positive step, but I am really surprised as doesn't this seem VERY fast?! Unless this interview is actually for a Biometrics interview? I did ask the officer at my Emergency Advanced Parole meeting if they would still schedule me for a Biometrics interview seeing as they were loading my prints into the system there and then, and the officer said another Biometrics (for AOS) wouldn't be necessary. Could the fact that my Biometrics were entered into the system have triggered a much sooner than normal AOS interview? Or am I being too hopeful and the interview date they send me (if it is for the AOS interview and not Biometrics) will actually be for a date many months later in the year?

I am excited (and a bit confused!) Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or info? Or if anyone else has also gotten an interview date?

Sending positive thoughts out to everyone!
