  1. Update on our journey (K1 visa):

9/2/21 - Had green card interview at Baltimore office. The whole session was probably about 20-30 minutes and was simple and easy. The lady was cordial and reassuring. After the interview, we were told 2-4 weeks, we should be receiving a letter in the mail.

9/22/21 - The EAD/AP card was received. Sorta bummed that the green card was still pending but still that's progress!

9/24/21 - Interestingly enough, the EAD/AP notice letter was received 2 days letter with a notice date of 9/14/21.

Our case was updated to fingerprint fee received August 2020 for AOS - nothing since then! No RFE, No biometrics...nothing! We called or chatted every month since November, opened a service request each time we've called and still no movement;  we live in the DC area. Anyone else in the same boat? or did you arrive on a K1 visa and didn't need to go through the whole biometrics stuff?

Hey there, we are in Maryland. My partner (K1 visa) did get an RFE for the i-944 and we sent the missing forms last month. However, no biometrics yet.

  3. Hello everyone, posted this in the September thread but figured I should include my spouse's AOS timeline here as well! She came to the country via K1 visa.

    Aug 03 2020 - sent forms (I-485, I-131, I-765) via USPS

Aug 06 2020 - package received by Chicago lockbox

Aug 13 2020 - rejection letter issues (issue with credit card)

Aug ?? 2020 - received rejection letter in the mail

    Aug 25 2020 - resent AOS package

Aug 29 2020 - package received by Chicago lockbox

Sep 10 2020 - received text notification from bank that check was cashed

Sep 13 2020 - received 3 texts about receipt of AOS package

We did not include I-944 files.

any tips on how to get them to push it through? I called but they said just wait a little longer or come into the office when it reopens :(

My fiancee had applied before all the SSA had closed to the public (March 13). I waited the recommended 4 weeks (actually, we waited 5 weeks) before deciding to call. If you've waited longer than that, I'd just continue to call. Maybe call another local office?

My fiancee is on the same boat as many here. We went to the local SSA office on March 13 and was given a letter stating that additional verification would be needed, which could take up to 4 weeks.

The SAVE database has already said "Case Returned to Agency" for several weeks now but we haven't received the SSN card in the mail. Today, I was able to call the local office (use https://secure.ssa.gov/ICON/ to find the number) and the man on the phone said they had to "push" the application through and I should receive it in two weeks.

UPDATE: Finally received my fiancee's SSN card in the mail today.

I guess it might just be a long waiting game...

UPDATE: The card finally came in the mail today. Had to call our local office around 10 days ago  to "push" the submission through, whatever that meant...

Yes, my suggestion is to RELAX. Patience is a virtue. The case will be reviewed in time. Enjoy life in the meantime.
