Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit” Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers must sync with each other to produce the outcome.

You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request, I will post back the links.

Please don't screenshot and post your CEAC status as it just clutters up the thread. We all know what it looks like. Let us know your progress as we want to celebrate with you. Good luck.

It can be done but the first requirement is to have been living in the new location for six months. You're better off to fly back for the medical and interview unless you have the time to put in to meet the requirements from the new embassy.

That's what I thought, thank you very much!
He may not even have to go, but I wanted to ask just in case.. but even if he has to go, the difference in the rent will probably pay for the plane ticket anyway 😄

USCIS judges someone else's relationships every day. They literally get paid to do it.

The OP needs to understand that there is going to be someone that they interview with, who's sole purpose is to determine if their relationship is real or not.

There are so many people here who get crushed on a weekly basis because they believed that their relationship was "real enough" because they "love each other so much", but had no idea how to appease the interviewers that judged them. The questions and concerns raised here by posters are no different than the thoughts going through the head of the interviewing officer.

I want to say thank you to all of my February k-1 friends who have been giving support and help to all of us through this leg of the journey. I feel humbled after feeling so down to have received my NOA2 today, dated May 29.
Neither the old website, nor the new website has updated for me, so if it hasn't for you that doesn't mean it's not in the mail.
I hope that this is the beginning of another week of acceptances, and lighter hearts!

She will do her Interview in Kuwait Embassy.  Yeah I know its 5 to 7 months  currently at CSC and we are at 4 months 5 days. It just seems weird that people are getting NOA2's that filled in march.

@SkeletonNessa same! This week was really rough for me seeing everyone else get approved.  But I’ve tried to tell myself to give it one more month before I stress again.  It’s just discouraging feeling like I’m one of the unlucky ones.  But a few more weeks or even months shouldn’t matter when we are talking about being together forever.
at least that’s what I’m TRYING to tell myself to calm down.

I'm also still waiting, we wait together!
When I get anxious about it, or the patience runs low I try to think about what my original date was when I signed up for this site in February was, and I'm trying to base my expectations on that.
"You can freak out a month from now", is kind of my mantra for this waiting stuff... I'd actually even prefer a harder, more in-depth process on my end than all of the waiting. 😔

USPS informed delivery shows I have mail from USCIS coming today (dated 5/17)!  Now the waiting game for the mailman to come begins haha.  Here's to hoping it's good news and not an RFE. 🙏

The new and old websites still show no update so I don't think they're actually up to date.  (I also filled out that form for electronic notification but haven't got anything.)

    Hello All,
It's nice to read all the comments from all of you. I'm new to this forum and read almost all of the comments/help from all individuals.
I am also on the same boat as others, still waiting for NOA2. NOA1 was Feb 11, 2019. Being patiently waiting for my NOA2. It's really hard not to be with someone you love. She is living other side of the planet and it is not easy for us to visit each other quite often, it has been almost 6 months we physically met and I believe few more months before I can meet her as I can not take vacation every year (work schedule) but I can't wait for my fiance to come to states. All prayers with you guys and eagerly waiting for my petition to move forward :)
    p.s. No RFEs yet

Your point was great until the last paragraph. I think that is a rude statement to make to those still waiting. It has nothing to do with being kind, nice or helpful. So use ur words appropriately!!!!!!!!!!!

SkeletonNessa reacted to TandClaudia in FEBRUARY 2019 I-129F FILERS
    @Zoltan K
My theory is that the USCIS officers are assigned a stack of applications based on certain factors (age of application, number of pages, complexity, experience of the officer, etc) and that background checks and other things that need to be verified slow down some processes, and applications that are "clean" go through quickly.

I also have a theory that people who are positive, supportive, helpful, kind to people, or are just naturally lucky have their applications approved faster and that's why we're seeing so many VJ approvals.

A bickering post has been removed.  Folks, this immigration process stinks royally.  However, we can be supportive and restrain ourselves when posting, and find other ways to blow off the tension.  In addition to what Greenbaum suggested earlier, violent physical exercise can also help.

Those suffering the petition-approval process can take solace that experienced members are donating their time and care to your thread.  When I was in your shoes, I don't remember having this kind of support to learn from and lean on.

Although somewhat "dated," here's a thread that might provide some perspective:

When I called in April, I was told my last update was Feb 2019, that I was going thru background check but my records are clean bc I did a background check Sept 2018 so it is not even been a year. I called again this May and was told that I am in line and they are working on it.
I do not think it has to do with country tho bc I see people from my country getting theirs. Its maybe LUCK!
Feb filers lets pray and be positive this is our MONTH, we still have 10 more days in this month!
  25. Thanks

I know it really sucks, but the best way to get through this is to lower your expectations and try not to compare your timeline to anyone else's. Don't forget that the people here on Visa Journey represent a tiny percentage of all the petitions the CSC has to work through! When someone gets to your file you'll hear from them. Stay busy, talk a lot with your fiancé about non-visa stuff, don't forget to hang out with your friends, take up a new hobby, go to a sporting event, and your time will come! Good luck

Explanation why is it taking so long.
