He is asking if he can use a local newspaper (current issue) in the photo with the lady? As a proof or geo-localization.

It would be better if they go to a place that is known there. I've seen denials from application because the USCIS are not convince that the petitioner didn't visit the beneficiary even if they have pics together.

There will be NO passport entry stamp. While on foot, you just leave the US side freely without showing your passport to anyone.

I believe it's only while crossing the border back to the States, you show your passport to a border patrol officer.

Tell them to take a picture outside the restaurant, keep the receipt on that restaurant, it shows the date. Or they could visit a known park or place there then take another picture.

Also, anywhere that it asks for my wife's name should she put her new name or considering that her new last name is not recognized by any government, ID, or institution yet should she just stick to her maiden name on all AOS forms?

    Based on this thread:

    Point #3 states.

    3.    Form I-485: Petition for Alien Relative (note: use the non US Citizen spouse's married name on this form and list previous name/names)

Exactly and need enough funds when USCIS cashes it. Considering that I have lots of automatic bill payments too... There is no way to track a money order though correct?

Yeah, I don't think you can. The only way that you could monitor and contest is the mail tracking number, that way you'll know for sure that it was delivered, then pray that USCIS will email you or mail you a notification(NOA). :) If my time comes I'll still use money order but that's just me.

No. I never write checks normally. I keep up with my balance on my banks app and in my head.

The bank that I have checks with now is the one I use for my direct deposit, pay bills, and any daily things.

Apparently the idea of a money order is not a good one.

Maybe I should buy checks at my other bank (that I don’t use so much) for this.

Yeah, the only problem with bank checks if you forgot to monitor your balance on your checking and you don't have enough funds, then it will be overdraft. So get overdraft protection. :)

Yes, I think this is the letter you need for medical.

No that is not the letter. In the past it was but they changed it to the "Embassy Eligibility Letter" from USEM. It's spelled out at Hank's website. I believe I have given the link before but if it is misplaced here it is again. http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's my answer to that. Base on hank's article. If that letter has the barcode, MNL# which I presume that's the email she got and it was attached as DOC file then it is the letter you need on your medical..

    Hank's website:

LETTER FROM NVC WITH MANILA NUMBER
When you get the letter from NVC stating the MNL #, scan and email a copy to your fiancee to bring to St. Luke's.  Or if you received an email from NVC with the MNL # forward this to your fiancee for SLEC.

So my fiancee just told me that she took a pregnancy test and the result was positive.😬

( I’m telling ya that thing broke on me😂

She will be going to her doctor to confirm the information, if the doctor says that this information is correct that she is pregnant.

Should I the US petitioner must write a letter to the medical officer and the consular officer that I knowledge that is my child? To avoid any delays

Or something else is required? Anyone has gone thru this experience before?

Currently we are waiting for the NVC number that no doubt we will get it by this week or the next one.

    Thank You😬

It is very important to disclose it because she'll have an X-ray exam and the fetus is very sensitive specially on the first trimester.

So its from NVC. It has your case number. Looks to be a letter. Mmmmm what do you think? If you don't know the answer I'll give you a clue. Go to Hanks website and look for NVC letter. Then compare yours against his. ALL the answers are there but you refuse to use the information right in front of you. Oy Vey. Hand slap to my forehead.

Hahaha good one! :) This is the part when filipinos say the expression... "Basa-basa muna pag may time." :)

    Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me with a small issue I've encountered whilst trying to contact NVC via the online form.

Everytime I fill in the form I get an 'invalid date of birth' code. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if anyone else had this issue?

Thank you in advance guys 😊

Any July filers still waiting for NOA2?

I"m going on 235 days. I check both sites daily but i don't think they update them because I know my cousin is waiting for interview date and his still shows RFE letter sent out.

You are not alone. Same here still waiting for NOA2. I sent a letter to our congressman here in LA. I hope that will push them to work on my file.

A friend of mine Fiance was approved and issued a K1 Visa, but within weeks of the visa being issue, they married before her fiance enter the U.S. She still oversea and after receiving information through another friend, he is now concerned that her visa is no longer valid as they are now husband and wife and may not be allowed to enter the U.S with the K1 Visa. Can she use this visa to enter the U.S or they are screwed-up? If so, what options do they have?

Thanks for all the responses and help!

Hmm I think that's going to be fraud, and grounds for deportation if they found out. I guess the US citizen will have to petition as spouse CR1 or K3.
