Can anyone tell me what's the julian date calculation? I think I'm missing something here
The way I figured it out was the 3 digits after the year (2019) for Eg. It could be 665 or 550 then you just add 500 to that (665+500= 1165)
then google a Julian day converter and it will give you the day of the month by just typing that final number in.... correct me if I'm wrong but my date made sense that way

@Greenbaum Thanks! I tried my best to find the info and not clog up the forum, but I will be tracking the parcels via your advice on the DHL hack this week and will update! Have a good one

Congratulations. I thought that for the k1 Visa you don't have to sent anything to NVC they just give you a case number
It is probably so, I asked that, but I read on their guidelines on the Travel state website, however it might be pertaining to the CR-1 visa, so I would recommend doing your double checks as I am as well.
and thanks!! My NOA 2 date was 9 May

I Got my case number last week Monday and I worked out on the Julian day calendar they assigned our case number the 30th of May, does anyone know if the South African's need to submit any docs to the NVC before they ship it out to us
-
To those who had their case at the NVC, did you have to send any documents through to them? Or only once it got to the embassy in JHB?

That happened to me yesterday, but on the good note when I called back and waited another 30 mins I was told they had my paperwork and gave me my case number. Fingers crossed for you.
Did you get your e mail yet with instructions from the NVC?
-
So if I've got my case number and invoice number does that mean my case is in the NVC system? we called Monday but still no mail by Friday or any feedback?

Oh make no mistake, I'm not complaining. I've been very lucky thus far. The rest is now a crapshoot because Casablanca is a very difficult embassy.
Also, I can't officially complain about the slow embassy, because I'm still at the NVC 😂
No worries 😂 I was just pointing out we are all a little jelly of that quick approval but thinking about you and wish you all the best with your interview and journey from NVC TO CASABLANCA 😅

Can any veterans of the process let me know, based on the fact I have received my case number from NVC (Monday 3rd June) when would I hear from the NVC to send them any of the docs they ask for like BC, PCC and whatever my country would require is there usually a general timeline regarding communication from NVC?
Thanks

@Sarge2155 I'm also referring to the USCIS website as well, no update there, not that any of it bothers me, was just curious...
Thanks
-
Is it normal for the USCIS case tracker not to update that my case is approved? (I-129F)
My fiance got our case number and NVC Invoice number yesterday NOA2 was 9 May, would it be Naive to assume we might make the shipment next week Tuesday to the consulate in Johannesburg?
I have completed my DS-160 and compiled all the info for the interview, any other advise whilst I wait for my package to make it to the embassy?
Thanks
-
@Hunter & Robyn I'm Just curious, when were you able to book your appointment? was it only once the consulate received your packet or as you were able to as soon as you got your case number from NVC?

@Liddy92I am also still waiting for my case number and my NOA2 date is 9 May

Can I pay for my interview when scheduling it? on ais.usvisa-info.com? or did it work in any other way?
Thanks

Hi all
I need help.. My visa interview date is on 6 June 2019 (next week). Unfortunately I do not have my unabridged birth certificate yet. I slipped up with this (I assumed my old form birth certificate was adequate) and applied too late, so will have to wait a few weeks for this. Should I still go for my interview next week or rather postpone the interview date? Would the embassy be lenient if I show up without my unabridged birth certificate (I have the short form birth certificate) and possibly ask me to send it through when I have it in hand, or will it be better if I change my date to end July and be sure I have my birth certificate by that time? I emailed the embassy to enquire about my situation, but I have not heard back from them and it has been three business days now. I have 4 police clearance certificates from countries I lived in. The first one of these expires 30 July, so I kind of have a time contraint for my interview date.
Thank you, I will be so thankful if anyone has advice!!
The best you can do now, if you have the extra cash, is use someone like passports 4 u, they can expedite the processing, I waited 7 weeks for mine from Edenvale office and they printed it on the spot (I suppose head office in PTA verifies the info) I know some members didn't have tax transcripts or police clearance yet and were placed in AP until the sent through the documents and still got their visas, may try mailing the embassy and explaining your situation?
I also made that assumption, fortunately I was able to get all my docs ready by now. Wish you all the best and a successful interview!

I guess we ain’t getting much out of the NVC tomorrow as it’s Memorial Day?...

just got an email (responding to the form I filled out about giving them my email address) that my petition was received!
Did you mail them daily or just the once to update you on the case progress?

I read over your embassy's P3 where as the only reference to the documents needed to support the I-134 is "1-134 document accompanied by the most current tax returns from the petitioner."
If you wanted to be safe, and this is what I did, I copied from my bank statements only the cover page for the past 12 months. The cover page from your bank normally shows starting balance, withdrawals and ending balance. That should be all they need. Otherwise, go with just the most current tax return/tax transcript as stated in the P3.
@Greenbaum Thanks for the update, could you please share the pdf file for the P3 for the South African consulate?
Just getting all my ducks in a row and I will also prepare the bank docs accordingly
Thanks

Regarding the I-134 at interview (Affidavit of support)
If your Fiance is employed, do they still have to submit the bank letter stating the total amount deposited over the last year? and supply bank statements if they are already submitting tax transcripts?
Thanks

You can start the DS160 now if you like... you can always go back to it and finish.... I would adviswe you do it now
Thanks, I've already have the application confirmation, I'm just waiting for the next step from NVC (case number etc) I have all supporting docs prepared and ready to send off, does anyone know what dates are being taken up at the JHB Consulate for interviews?
-
Do the photo copies we bring to the interview have to be certified?

I sent it by DHL. I sent it on a Friday, and it arrived on Tuesday. I think the cost was $54
Postal service in the Philippines is not very dependable.
You might check with others from Jamaica to find the best way to send.
@Rick & Apple can't one send it via e mail instead? does the embassy demand the originals?

Hi there,
Im trying to fill out the affadavit of support. The issue is, the form wont let me fill out 5.1. That means the household size is 1 (because they automatically fill out 1 for the sponsor).
I tried downloading Adobe, no luck.
Anyone tried something else?
Why are you filing the I-864 instead of the I-134?
