Thanks so much! I found so much conflicting info, but this definitely helps a stack! now it's just the wait for the interviews to open up, waiting a week now and nothing has opened up yet... 

Hi, do we need a wet signature on the I-134 form? I know someone answered something here before but I can't remember if they actually said we need a wet signature.

Can we use W2 forms instead of tax transcripts? My sponsor says that it would be the same kind of info as submitting tax transcripts if I use W2’s

@greenbaum or anyone else who might have some experience with the Consulate stage, I have checked multiple times, but since I got my P3 from the consulate they have had 2 different update dates on my CEAC status? I have been waiting for interview appointment date since last week thursday, South Africa seems to have a unique process where you have to check back online all the time as the K-1 interview dates aren't in abundance from the NVC? 

what do the more recent update "dates" refer to on CEAC?

Any info regarding this?

is the usual tax payer prepared tax return form

Transcripts  are the IRS records of a tax payers tax return

What do you mean by tax transcripts? Our attorney told us to gather tax returns. What exactly is a tax transcript? I see on the IRS website there are return transcripts, record of account transcript, account transcript, and wage & income transcript to download. 

Tax transcripts are the summarized version of tax returns, more short and sweet otherwise known as W2 forms. But you can take both with if you have them. 

Are there any people still waiting to book their interview appointments? How did you go about it?

I forgot about this thread, does  anyone know when and how often interview dates are posted? got my P3 today, signed up and filled out all the rest but no dates available? 

I have been logging on multiple times a day without any luck on the available appointments, how does  the scheduling system work for South Africa on the ais.usvisa website? any advise on the process will be greatly appreciated. Received my P3 letter and have already filled out DS 160 etc...

I just received my P3 E-Mail, however I have filled out DS-160 but there are no appointment dates available on Ais.usvisa website, do i mail consulate or just wait for dates to become available? 

Well my words weren't cold and they sent me my P3 letter, however do you just have to wait for dates to be made available on the ais.usvisa website? 

Hi all, I got a call from the Consulate yesterday, they asked to confirm my e mail address CEAC status is "ready". Did this happen to anyone else and what do I expect from here on out? not sure if I should, call, mail or just sit tight? Should I expect P3 soon?

Best advice i can give is keep an eye on your CEAC status and when it updates again, then you know the embassy has received your paper copy and should be in touch soon, that's what happened to me today 

Just an update for those still waiting,  I got an E mail from NVC stating my package was shipped out on June 11, but no ways to track it on DHL, got a phone call from the consulate here this morning asking to confirm my e mail, I suppose I will get P3 in mail today then sometime. 

CEAC status also shows todays' date as the last updated, meaning they are obviously working on it. just FYI, CEAC is quite prompt with updates

days and see what they say if they got it yet

So I received a letter from the NVC saying the documents left on the 11th, but I can't seem to track the whereabouts on the DHL website, whats the usual time frame from shipping out of the NVC to the consulate acknowledging the receipt and sending me packet 3? I'm not too familiar with the process as the JHB consulate website is very vague on the K-1 Process?

I checked the Same formula to other countries and that worked, but still no results for mine to SA, could it be that it hasn't been sent yet? I received a mail from the NVC?

I also made the ignorant mistake of the time difference only by now would it be the 24 hour sync, so tomorrow i’ll Give it another bash, thanks 👍🏻

My CEAC status says ready but no appointment dates available on ais.usvisa, I suppose the embassy will notify me once they have processed my application and then dates will become available? correct? 

I have posted in my sub forum country but no responses all day...

Can anyone remember after their CEAC status was ready when you could book your appointment, or do you have to wait for the P3 from the consulate?
