    Hello, I have found the quickest time to get through is around 1/2pm EST. I just called at 7pm and called 50x before getting through. You can tell the difference when you get through. You'll get a few rings. Tonight I waited 50 min. The other days around 30.

    And if you run into anyone at SSA who says K-1 visa holders can't get social security numbers, or that married K-1 visa visa holders can't get social security numbers, ask for a supervisor. And again, be sure to bring her passport AND birth certificate and a printout of her I-94.

    It stays issued on ceac. Move over to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ check the passport delivery status there. When it says "Passport has been received from consular section and is being prepared for dispatch" call them up. Their numbers are +91 120 4844644 or +91 40 46258222. Ask for the Bluedart tracking number. That's how I got mine.

    It depends on co but I don’t think it’s a big issue these days. I would highly recommend joining your fiancé for interview. If you research on k1 for last 8 years.i found less than 10 cases denied. 
                         Everyone gets visa as long as you aren’t hiding or doing fraud. Good luck

    Same with Jordan. Nothing this entire summer.  Also it be good idea to email the embassy find out how many spots they actually open for K1 interviews. Our Embassy asvised us they open 8 spots per month for K1 interviews. On top of that its the busy season.  The only thing they were able to tell if it’s to check daily because since people cancel and reschedule and then we can take that spot. Near impoasible.

    When it ships it changes to "in transit".  When it is at the embassy and they are ready, it changes to "ready "

    Correct - it will say in transit. When it reaches the embassy, it will say “ready”

    So, this makes me crazy. Why set guidelines to follow if they are going to allow the co to have sole discretion??
