  1. Approved for the Green Card at the interview as of yesterday.

We were handed a paper approval notice and given verbal approval.

    Questions included:

    To my wife:

Interviewer asked the terrorist/threat/criminal questions on the original I-485.

The questions below were asked directly from the I-485, our interviewer was going over the application start-to-finish checking off each section it seemed.

    What is your full name?

    What is his full name?

What is his birthday? My wife as actually a little anxious and gave the wrong month here.

When did you get married? Wifey also messed up with the wrong year, haha, and the interviewer looked surprised but I played it off and told the interviewer she's kind of anxious and reassured my wife to be careful.

    Your mother's birthday?

    Your mother's full name?

Then some open-ended question to both of us:

How did you meet? I, husband, answered the first half, and handed off the story to my wife.

What did you (directed at husband) like about her?

What did you (directed at wife) like about him?

Why did you (directed at husband) prefer dating outside the country? Haha.

And just like that we were approved. No separation, no stress, no scary interview rooms. It was a very personable interview that you might find akin to going to a bank and speaking to your financial adviser, we both were sat just  apart from her desk, and she gave us some candy right after everything was said and done.

Special note that we were adjusting from K-1 status and the interviewer specifically thanked us after the interviewer for submitting the I-693 with the I-485 application. She said had we not submitted that, she was going to request an RFE from us.

She also commended me on the Affidavit of Support not being an issue and told me she had some denials because of that recently as we waked out.

  2. This is feeling ridiculous. Applied for the EAD on July 15th and still haven't received the card. The processing times state that July 15th is the cutoff point to which an abnormal processing time form can be submitted, but when I attempt to submit such a form, the website displays that the case is still within the bounds of the normal processing times. Did not apply for Advanced Parole. Only applied for EAD which was received by their offices on July 11th, did fingerprints on July 16th.

Submitted I-485 on June 15, it was received June 17, 2019 and no update on that either.

  3. Houston - Hwy6 S Location, not sure if this is the same SW Sugarland location posted prior... but no issues.
I honestly doubt they even looked at the appointment date; it was never mentioned as we handed them paper work.
The only quip I have is for anyone who has supporting documentation (marriage certificate) in the case that your ID (passport) has a different name than your USCIS Biometrics Appointment Letter to bring along the marriage certificate. Not that it was asked for in our case, but definitely would have cleared up some confusion.

Scheduled for 7/24/2019, went in on 7/16/2019 and was in and out in less than 30minutes. Went in around 10:20 AM.

Ugh I passed the interview in 14 February but my status is still “Administrative Prosessing” im starting to get worried.. others who interviewed that day have already been “issued” :(

My Fiancee just informed me that her interview was 'Approved' 3.5 hours after her interview was scheduled.
But when I check CAEC now, and as I was checking before I even heard back from her (anxiety), it tells me our case is under 'Administrative Processing'.

I don't know what to think. She says she hasn't eaten since having woken at 5AM, I told her to tell me some more details after she's eaten.

I'm curious about the flights. I read somewhere that I may want to call the airline to book the ticket for my fiance because I might encounter issues booking online. I know last year I booked her a flight to Manila and the airline put a hold on the ticket as possible fraud because I purchased it online. She had to take cash to the airline and pay. Anyone know anything about this?

Dude this happened to me. I was so aggravated on Sunday. My Fiance and her aunt were booked for a flight I paid for the week prior online with AirAsia. Only after they had to repay in cash with money I gave them for the SLEC Medical was I told about my booking being cancelled and 'refunded'. They claim to have 'refunded' me on the 11th of Feb but I've yet to see a credit in my bank. From now on I'd have to send her money in cash form to pay for tickets it seems... so silly.

Our case now shows “Ready” which I know means time to set interview- but how? Where do I go to get interview set up with the Swedish Embassay? Do we wait until they reach out with dates? If not what website do we set our time? Thanks!

  7. Anyone else submitting their signed I-134 Affidavit of Support as as scanned, signed, document to Fiancee for the interview?
I'd read some old back and forth about 'you need originals' vs 'you can send scans' and opted to just sign the form in blue ink and have her print in color just to add emphasis that the document was signed non-electronically.

Also, I'm curious. With sending IRS Tax Transcripts and W-2s and the like, do y'all remove/black out your Social Security Numbers? I figure this stuff should be safe with the U.S. Embassy but you never know. I hear that at the CFO, W-2s/Tax Transcripts might also be needed so I feel I should just blacken them out.
