The process over the years has been fluid in that it has never stayed the same for long. When I went through my K-1/K-2 it was 3-4 months and of late it has been 6-8 months. Those times, as you noted, are coming back down. There is no rhyme or reason to why this happens. I suspect that when an administration takes a position on an immigration policy then many "freak out" and file which then clogs the system. But this is just speculation on my part. There is no "official" explanation.
 
Most times the immigration position broadcast has nothing do with the actual K-1 and CR-1 visas. But people are people and they react emotionally rather then rationally. We see it all the time here on VJ. Some news article will be published and oh boy the VJ threads are a poppin with fear when in fact it has no baring on them.

Yes I received mine, it took about a week or so. BUT I went there in person since I'm in Germany atm, so that made it easier. I know for a fact that it can be a different story if you have to request a Führungszeugnis by mail. My sister lives in Argentina and she tried to get one recently, it took weeks and after all the waiting all she got was a reply that they can't process her request because her signature wasn't certified by a german embassy... so.. yeah, maybe call them and ask? Yeah. Im not relying on uscis either unless my case is outside of their so called 8 months which is totally ridiculous!! Most petitions are being completed in less than 6 months. And i feel like we applied at the right time..☺ but ofcourse i could be wrong🤦🏾‍♀️..but trying to stay positive!🙏🏾🙏🏾

Btw, regarding the processing time discussion: I personally believe that they changed the processing times on the website to get less case inquiries that they have to respond to..think about it: if you can only inquire after 8 months or whatever it is right now, they'll definitely get less emails & phone calls and can work on the actual cases. November cases are already getting approved, and even though there's no guarantee to get the NOA2 in April/close to the estimated timeline date, I simply chose to be positive about it  Of course there's never a guarantee and it also depends on your petition and the case worker (and sometimes luck), but I'm going with manifestation & good vibes ... plus the immigration timeline estimate on visajourney is based on data that you can actually look at (Igors list) so YAY December filers, there's gonna be approvals in a couple of weeks already ❤️ Best of luck to all of us, have a great Thursday

Sooo, hab gerade angerufen xD mir wurde gesagt, ich kann mit meinem deutschen Führerschein fahren, solange mein Visum gültig ist. Wenn wir geheiratet haben, soll ich mit der SSC mit dem neuen Namen hingehen und die DL beantragen, die ist dann gültig bis ich meine GC hab, wenn diese fertig ist, muss ich mir eine neue DL holen, ich denke das wird dann eine DL wo dann draufsteht, dass sie nicht zur Identification dient.

Nachdem wir im Juni 2017 den K1-Prozess gestartet haben, hab ich nun eeeendlich seit dem 27.02.2019 meine Green Card!
Ich kann es noch gar nicht fassen!!!
