Being married for 10 years and being in a relationship for 2 years while still married ,getting pregnant and having a child means you were 8 years in separation without a divorce. All these will attract some harsh questions and side eye from the CO, be prepared to answer some "embarrassing" questions and both partners being from high fraud countries will be another hill to overcome.

If he has up to 7 years left on his time, I must assume it is a serious crime, you will definitely be needing a lawyer. Also I don’t know about your relationship or what you tell each other, one thing I know for sure is I hope you are doing this for yourself and not because he asked you to, because we all know or can guess he is a felon by now and this will prevent him from getting a decent job when he gets out. On another note, the job he tells you he has in prison typically pays 25 cents to a dollar an hour, at the end of the month some inmates can make up to $500, this simply helps them have some money in their books for commissary and usually you must be a medium or minimum offender (low risk) in order to get a good paying job in there. So I will advice you to have an extensive talk with your spouse and make sure you are not investing your money and time to come be the one doing all the work because real things happen behind bars and inmates will always tell you what you want to hear as long as they get what they want. Like others said, use the search bar to find more topics on others who went this route.

This simply means that they were satisfied with the interview and once they receive the right document, they will update your file and approve your visa, just be patient and give it a few days after for them to get everything done, congratulations.

Seeking a Green Card
mniceguy16 replied to csh2020's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
To begin, I am so proud of you for going this far to protect yourself and daughter. Even if she would have been intimate with you yesterday, she could call the cops and claim you forced yourself on her. What "proper" goodbye does she wanna say after disappearing for 2 months? She has no plans on going back, she simply wants to make you believe she is gone because she knows she is not getting her way this time. I am glad you found this site. I found it at the start of my journey 8 years ago and almost 3 years after being a citizen, I still stick around because this site has more helpful information more than some attorneys will ever have. I really wish you the best in your next steps in finding peace and stability. -
Seeking a Green Card
mniceguy16 replied to csh2020's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
Ok, to answer your question real quick, Me being an immigrant, on My visa interview day in Kyiv, Ukraine, the CO took out time and asked Me if I knew what was vawa and if I read about it, so yeah Vawa is openly explained to all intending immigrants, your soon to be ex spouse has some coaches so she must know about vawa by now, reason why she is trying to keep texting you that you yelled at her and her only wanting to meet in public, those are antics of someone building a vawa case. -
Seeking a Green Card

Your attorney sounds like he/she needs to be fired. This lady won’t come back to you, pull down the I130, divorce has nothing to do with waiting. It sounds more like you have hopes of getting back with her, you will only keep hurting yourself for someone who is gone emotionally and already physically. Submit that withdrawal letter and move on with the divorce proceeding, remember the longer the wait, the more time she gets to get you in the exact position she is aiming for. -
You were older than 26 when you got your green card, selective service registration does not concern you. I did not nothing about mine when applying for citizenship, they have your immigration paperwork and can clearly see you were above age so there is nothing to worry about, it won’t come up at your interview.

There are several ways to detect a fraudulent marriage, like the quick divorce after 6 months denied fiance visa, USCIS has so many ways to check and the reason they may also give you at the interview could not be the only red flag they found. I had a conditional GC and had conditions removed without interview, up until my n400, everything was normal until USCIS showed up at my doorsteps, at night a few weeks before my interview just to make sure my marriage was legit…so yes they have several tricks up their sleeves. Good luck to you and hope it works out for you.

As long you have proof of payment, you really do not need her signature. USCIS asks for a notarized copy as a replacement for receipts because they understand it’s complicated to always keep all receipts. Just make sure you rub it on her face when you get that citizenship because I can sense she is just trying to hold you back from getting it.

Dubai police clearance
mniceguy16 replied to Precious Joseph's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
You will definitely be getting a 221g requesting the document after your interview. Keep trying to get the document in order to avoid delays in your visa processing. -
Paying the mortgage and also keeping your job while out of the country for 6 weeks is enough proof of maintaining ties, also bills are another proof. 6 weeks is not a lot of time to worry about, focus on studying for your interview and you may wanna have some sort of proof of your dad’s passing added to your file as proof too. There is not much to worry about here. Sorry for your loss and good luck.

This letter simply means that since you are now a U.S. citizen, they took you off the queue and approved your I130 petition. You are now at the National visa center stage, follow the instructions on this email they sent and also respond to the RFE and wait for further instructions from them, the email itself is self explanatory so do not panic, you are in the right direction and congratulations on becoming a citizen.

Manslaughter, voluntary or involuntary is a crime against moral turpitude. You being young and have never met him and are talking about marriage is sketchy. We see a lot of felons in the USA looking for an easy way out and you may be a victim of such. Just like some people mentioned here, there is more ahead than just trying to get here and work and live. Being a felon in the USA is challenging and you must be ready mentally to support him. Study him, don't hurry into something which you know you will be the one spending in almost everything, we see a lot of such cases here everyday, talk to family and friends, open up before you venture into this, no parent will want to hear about this kind of adventure when it must have taken a sad turn already. I am not judging you, just being straight forward here.

Your passport will be stamped upon entry into the USA and that will serve as proof of your permanent residency for up to a year or till when you receive your physical green card. Unless your passport is stamped, you are technically not allowed to work in the USA, so I will advise you get your passport stamped (endorsed) then you can send out your job applications.

Returning to America
mniceguy16 replied to lunaff's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
Personally, I don't think pre clearance is a good idea as they may easily deny you boarding your flight, since you will still be home in Ireland it may be easier for them to tell you to start the journey afresh by reapplying for your green card immigration process. Hop in a plane, don't panic, do not surrender your card while here, get all necessary documents regarding your mom's health and in case you get an NTA, you will show the immigration judge so you can get a favorable outcome. -
Most times when the co approves the visa at the embassy, the supervisor has to give the final approval and also sometimes they are doing final checks, there is nothing to worry about and you just wait for confirmation of approval and passport in hand with visa on it before you make any travel plans, congratulations in advance.

You are filing based on the 3 year rule, meaning you have to show 3 years worth of proof that you lived in marital union with your spouse, eg utilities, bank statements, insurances, basically it's almost like the documentation for removal of condition, but it needs to be up to date, Pictures, etc select random bills, if you started living with your husband say in june 2020, put like 3 receipts of that year, like few more receipts for random years that is, 2020,2021,2022,2023, you don't need a tone of these, just few. They will need proof of comingling and living together in marital union, lease / rent, life insurance showing each others as beneficiary, health insurance too, kids' birth certificates of pet ownership docs, if you removed conditions and submitted these, make sure you submit them again and add the recent ones you got after submission of I751. You have a lot of resources on this forum to look from.

Nowadays a lot of people do what has just been described by op, live like room mates. If USCIS went that route of asking what he wore last night, it’s because they must have visited the area and maybe must have spoken to neighbors before interview was done and they may conduct more visits. This is definitely not looking good for op, very few married couples will live in separate rooms and op’s reason for this is "since Covid". Take to the advises here and start getting ready for a lawyer in case things go deeper south.
