We heard from the NVC yesterday that they have sent our paperwork to Bucharest. We are very excited. Does my fiance need to wait to set up the medical examination for her and her daughter until they have heard from the embassy?

What does that mean and what is next?

Yes your K2 needs to be at the interview with mom. The CO will probably ask her one or two questions as they did the same with my two K2's. The one that sticks out is "how many times have you met "John"? What do you call him? Mine answered "Tito Greenbaum"; Tito is a respectful and used for naming purposes for non-family individual in the Philippines. Like referring that he is a close uncle.

 

You having traveled to her hometown 8 times is an excellent sign that the two of you have a solid relationship. If the rest of your file is in good shape, for you to be there is now a personal choice. In my opinion, and I have no data to back this up, but if you are there it supports her and the CO looks kindly on you but for you I think you should be fine. Good luck.

 

This is for her.  The interview will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Don't give a novel as your answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Just be brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, this could send you down the wrong road. AND, Don't forget to ask if you passed.

How many visits have you made in total to be with your fiancée. This would include any before you filed and those that were after need to be counted as a total. She is a K2 and I have been there 8 times.

After 225 days we were approved. So glad to join this group. My first question is this: Will my fiances 12 year old daughter need to be at the interview in Bucharest and my second is how big of a difference does it make if I am present for the interview?

Question: My fiance is providing a letter of intent to marry for our RFE and at the bottom it requires a witness signature? 

Can that be signed by anyone or does it have to be notarized?

Great news, we received an RFE, here it is:

We received a Request for Evidence (RFE). They basically want a signed statement from your fiancé saying she will marry you within 90 days of her entry to the U.S. along with wedding preparation details. I have attached a very basic sample of it to this e-mail. Please send to Carmen so she may add all wedding details. Perhaps even discuss the recent trips you have made to see her. Also, please send us photos, trip itineraries and any wedding preparation proof. Let us know if you have any questions.

 

(please tell her we will need the original signature on her statement)

 

Please help us with a sample letter she can write and any other ideas.

Day #204 and I just checked the new website and it sent me to a dashboard. Up until this morning, it said,

Your case was received.  It's a totally new screen.  Has anyone else seen this today or is it a change in status?

Today is day 203.  I just returned from my 8th trip meeting my fiance. 

It's what we do for love. 

Well we have made it to the VIP portion of our journey. Today is day 201, hoping for a great week for April filers.

Could use some prayer. I flew into Romania last night from Chicago on Turkish Air for a visit with my fiance Carmen. My luggage didn't make it and they have no idea where it is. I had packed all the paperwork in preparation for what we would need for the interview. Birth certificates, death certificates, tax information along with gifts, jewelry and everything else.

Will update if we receive any information.

Congratulations. Every time I see someone who turned in their file after we turned ours in, and they get approved,  my stomach ties in another knot.
