Our service center is Texas. I checked and it said 5-15 months. I was like jeeeez that's so vague. Hopefully it'll be a nice in between. The waiting part sucks though for real. 😩

Texas is currently picking up speed on processing, at least by the other filing months spreadsheets.  Fingers crossed for you that the speed keeps up!  There have been a few that have been adjudicated in a couple of months.  🤞

  2. My husband and I brought our toddler to our interview for AoS.  Other families had their kids with them, too.  We had a stroller and a diaper backpack.  Our interview was in Chicago.  EDIT: We didn't call ahead to ask for any accommodations.  We all went through the metal detectors though I think the stroller had to go through the xray?  I can't remember.

Good luck at your interview!  :) And, congrats on the baby!  💖

Yes they understand, the issue now is that they resend it and her resident card expires in 16 days, what can they do beside waiting?

They sent everything back on March 13th to the USCIS.

Assuming you used FedEx or UPS, then the package should have been delivered by 3/17.  If the current processing times hold steady, she can expect to receive a text or a copy of the NOA letter sometime between 4/23 and 4/30 (ish).

I mailed my I-751 package on 02/27/2021 through USPS. Package arrived in Phoenix on 03/16/2021. Today is 03/29/2021 (over a month since mailing it) and I have not received any notifications and a receipt number from USCIS - neither though mail or digital (I sent form G-1145 along with I-751).

I tried to create an e-ticket but USCIS requires me to have a receipt number, which I do not have. I tried to call USCIS customer service number multiple times but was not able to get a hold of anybody or get any information that would help.

Do I need to make an appointment to go to a USCIS office? If yes, how do I do it?  If I do not get anything from the USCIS in a couple of weeks, I plan to personally go to their Philadelphia office to get advice as my green card will expire on 05/14/2021.

    I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Looking at the February 2021 filers thread will likely give you a little comfort in terms of timing.  :) There's a really nice spreadsheet in there with all of our filing dates, cashing of checks, receipt of notices, etc.

Currently, it is taking about 5 - 6 weeks from receipt of the I-751 package to receive your NOA.  Assuming the timeline holds steady, you should be expecting to receive you NOA sometime around 4/23 or 4/30.

hi guys. Form I-751 on uscis.gov site expires 12/31/2019. Is this form ok to use? Did you guys use the same ?

Please confirm did you guys send all the proof together with form? What did you all include in your package please confirm.

Always use the form on the USCIS.gov site.  So long as it is still the form on there, the "expiration" date doesn't really count.  (I think they put an exp date on there with the intent of revising it after that time, but they don't always do that.)  When/If they update it, they will post a new one.

Yes, we all sent proof along with the form.  If you look through this thread, particularly the earlier postings, you'll see some examples of what people included, some examples of language for the coversheet, etc.  After reading through it, you'll have a good idea of how you'd like to customize your package based on what information you have.  :) It is ok if it is not identical to any of ours - each relationship is unique and each piece of proof can be different.  Just make sure you include the items which the Form I-751 tells you that you MUST include.

We are Nebraska too, is it bad news? I couldn't find processing times for all the service centers to compare other than on the USCIS' website. I read some of the March 2020 thread and it looks like some people who got assigned to Nebraska just got accepted and some are still waiting.

From the other Google sheets, Nebraska currently is going really slow.  It can change though.  I think Texas was super slow for a while, then became CRAZY fast, and is slowing down again.  Not sure if there is a rhyme or reason to it all.  :(

  7. Just wanted to add a little info on updating your driver's license with the name change.  Each state has their own laws but mine for example (Illinois), we are required to update our license with 10 days of updating our name with SSN.  Whenever you do decide to make the change, check your state's requirements and if the DMVs are open so that you can update your DL as well.  Our DMV's are all messed up due to COVID.

Do you think your application moved much quicker because you are from Canada?

My application looks like it is moving along at about the same pace with the rest of the applications submitted in February.  At least so far anyway.  When it gets farther along in the process, I'm not sure.  It didn't seem to help speed us through any faster for the change in status process.

We're assigned to the Nebraska center, so, sadly, I think we'll be going very slow.  :(

Hi everyone, just coming on here to ask if anyone has had a similar timeline to me and if any of you have had to go for an interview to be approved to have the conditions removed from your green card. I’m from Canada and everything so far has gone pretty smooth. I know a lot of people who had their interviews waived, however, I received a letter in the mail last week requiring me to go to Syracuse NY (2.5 hours away) for the interview. My husband and I have a baby which they have proof of but anyway I’m just curious if anyone else had to have an interview and what I should be expecting. Thank you 🧡🧡

I saw you mentioned "Canada" and "baby", so I wanted just to add a little encouragement.  My hubby (Canadian) and I had our change of status (485) interview in Chicago and had to bring our then 2 year old son with us to the interview.  It actually helped make the interview feel a little less "formal" as the lady we spoke with was charmed by our son.  :)

We brought a big binder with us with extra info and I don't think she even looked at it.  She had all the stuff we had previously submitted.  Still recommend you bring one with you though, just in case.  Never hurts to be prepared!

Thats what i think too. Should I mention them we live separate now? However She may have same address on everything bills license etc..

If you're just starting the paperwork to remove conditions, unless she has a separate address for everything, I wouldn't mention it at this point.  Separations can be pretty fluid and are not legally binding.  Between now and when the interview takes place, you two could have patched things up, or could have decided to file for divorce (in which case you'd have to alter the petition anyway).

    Just my opinion.

I'm waiting until next Friday Mar 26 before doing anything and our case was also received 2/11. That would still put the check cashing in a "normal" time frame going off of the January 2021 filers. I really, really hate contacting USCIS but if you have a few hours to burn, go for it.

I keep looking at the Google sheet and hoping somehow that by doing that, my phone will magically ding with an update on my case.  I'm living vicariously through others who are getting their notifications.  LOL

Have your money cashed out yet?

Anyone pls advise What number I should call USCIS to check my package?

    Pck sent Feb 2

    Pack received Feb 10

Today, march 19, nothing update, Money haven't cashed out yet.

    Thanks

I wouldn't worry on either yet.  In looking at the Google spreadsheet, there is someone on there whose package was received on 2/4 and their check/MO was just cashed two days ago.  Wouldn't surprise me if quite a few more checks/cards/etc are cashed/charged in the next week or so.  If by the end of the month you don't see something, I would call then.  The current average is around 5 weeks, but it could be plus or minus a little bit.

We're getting close!  :) (Then, of course, we get to sit and wait months upon months...but, still...  LOL!)

Hahah can see it now bright yellow stretch Hum V blasting out the anthem through the subwoofers and her poking out of the sunroof while all along the strobe lights a flashing  😂😂

^^ This!  You have to do this now.  LOL!!!  Live stream it on YouTube for good measure.  ;)

All honesty though, I truly love the idea of getting a limo for it.  Go in style, create some awesome memories, have a great story to tell to the future generations.  COVID has made everything so stressful, tense, and crazy.  A splurge like this would just be so awesome.  💖  Great way to end a very long process!

Um guys.... I saw this in the November discussion, OP posted their RFE letter and the reasons for RFE is a load of carp. Their submitted evidence looks a lot like mine!

Oh my, this one is freaking me right out!  I included similar things (not a lot of credit card statements, not a lot of months worth of bank account stuff), though I did include prior tax returns and things which were dated back to our date of marriage...

Somehow I'm still freaking out and nervous if I submitted enough....  Looking over scans of what I submitted.... 😖😱
