Update: Our interview was rescheduled but our status online stopped working and showed and still shows as invalid, apparently it's a glitch in the system. We received the notice in the mail about a 1.5 weeks before the interview. Interview went well...no questions out of the ordinary and we were approved on the spot.
 
Sorry for not updating you all earlier as it was a bit crazy but I would recommend having everything prepped since the time between notice and interview date may be short. Good luck to you all! 

It was pretty quick. I would say 95% percent of the questions was just a review of all the information filled out on the i-485. Including asking my husband for my full name and birthday since that was on the form. My husband was also asked if he works and what his job is.This was to update the info on i485 since when we submitted it he was unemployed. Then they asked for all supporting documents of our relationship and original copies of some documents not all. The only relationship based question was how did we meet. And that was it. Never asked for pictures, vaccine record , or medical exam. We thought we weren't done yet because the officer didn't see our pictures or asks us more questions. But then the officer handed us a paper and said congratulations. We were not expecting to be given the results at that moment, it was a great surprise. 

Much appreciated. If you have some time after your celebrations, please try and leave us a short review of how the interview went, what kind of questions you were asked etc. I'm sure everyone here would appreciate some advance info on how they do things in the Santa Ana FO.

Through mail.A few days before our case status online would show up as error and then eventually I saw they had done an update but couldn't see the update and then got the reschedule letter. Our rescheduled interview ended up being less than a month away from the day we got the letter.

We just had our interview and were approved on the spot. We filed at the end of August 2019 and this was our rescheduled  interview since our original interview was also cancelled by covid reasons.

Yep still waiting. I noticed that as well...hopefully some good news comes all our ways.

Adding another datapoint. There is one person on reddit who said their interview was rescheduled for 8/24, originally for 3/19. He was notified by phone 2 weeks ahead of interview.

Finally got our interview rescheduled. Just found out today (was originally for 3/31/19), so I don’t know when it will be for, but we are located in Los Angeles field office.

Any from California being rescheduled for interviews? We haven't heard anything 

I might have missed this...why is it better to submit the renewal 6 months early vs. let's say 1 month before expiration ?

We are Sep 2019 filers and stuck on "waiting for interview", but fortunately were granted the EAD in December. Is it easy to file for an extension of the EAD if we are still waiting on an interview? If so, how early do we need to file? My wife's EAD expires in December so we have plenty of time but we want to make sure that we will be able to extend it if we don't have an interview before then. Thank you.

Once you get a green card, then you would be an LPR.

I'm thinking as long as you filed BEFORE your medical expired which is a year that you are good regardless. I think that's how it works.As long as you filed your AOS BEFORE your medical expired you are good. They can see the date you filed and the date of your medical.

Your medical is good as long as you filed for AOS within one 1 year from the day you did the medical. 
Medical doesn't expire as long as you filed for AOS within one year.
