True on the tetanus but he will have probably went through AOS by the time it expires at least so it isn't necessary for this process. There's 2 MMR shots on the record so I wouldn't rush to get any more. The second shot is usually given between ages 4-6 and the first between 12-16 months it says online. My records were similar to the ones posted and they signed it off.

I had 2 and managed to not have immunity to measles before immigrating.  Personally i think if you can get them for free vs paying you should. But just my opinion, worth as much as the paper it's written on.

The adult shots are MMR, Tdap or Td, Flu, Varicella

You're done with MMR. Two in your lifetime.
Varicella gets waived when you tell them you had chickenpox. They take your word.
Flu you need one until March 31. After that it is waived for "not flu season".
Td Tetanus/Diptheria has to be dated within the last 10 years. Your last one was Dec 16 2011 so you are good on that if your medical is before Dec 2021. I think it will be. 😂

Looks like all you need is a flu jab and NHS probably wouldn't give you one anyway unless you were a child or elderly because that's their guidelines. Go to Boots or a clinic some stores like Tesco and Sainsbury's have. Take dated proof/receipt along with your other sheet.

    No way. Not needed.

Not completely sure but I believe as long as its before the appointment that they should accept them.  Anyone else able to back this up?

If you have paperwork proof of a vax, I'm sure Knightsbridge will accept it.

Well, you're very much due for a tetanus. Possibly an MMR (my husband's GP gave him both doses even though he had a history of mumps as an early adult). And as for flu it will depend on if your Knightsbridge appointment happens before or after March 31.

You probably didn't get a varicella shot because the U.K. does not immunize for that. If you had chickenpox tell them and make sure your form is ticked Varicella History under the Varicella listing. Then the shot is waived and you never get it.

Flu shot would have had to be this winter to count. There is a new mix every year.

The rest you listed are not given to adults so are waived as not age appropriate.

Don't get random shots you don't need. Post a photo of your record if in doubt.

Doesn't matter, provided they are received sometime before the medical and are within the appropriate timeframe of when a vaccination will still be active. My husband had all his vaccinations completed by his GP. Because the MMR needs several weeks apart, I think he completed everything within 2-3 months before his medical.
Take a look at this guide: the quoted portion below is ALL you need if you are 19-59 years of age.

Some more things I thought of: Also keep in mind that while the MMR is a two dose shot, separated by some weeks - one is enough and if you haven't received the second dose by the time of your appointment, Knightsbridge will give you an insufficient time waiver. Of course if you do have the time before your Knightsbridge visit, having the full dosage of MMR is good for your health, especially since there is constant outbreaks in the US now.

Chickenpox vax isn't routinely given in the UK. If you've had chickenpox as a child, just tell Knightsbridge and they will believe you.

Knightsbridge will tell you K1s don't need to get them before the visa (true). But they fail to tell you it could cost your hundreds or dollars if they don't get marked as completed by the Panel Physician at the visa medical. Anything after by your GP will have to be signed off by a Civil Surgeon in the US. The USCIS will not accept a shot record from your GP. You have to go through a designated Civil Surgeon using form I693.  Pay for the shots and get it over with. Which ones do you need?

Got a Boots nearby? You can get your vaccines there. Take the proof to Knightsbridge.

    Your other options:

    1) Get them done at Knightsbridge - but it's going to cost you a lot.

    2) Get them done after Knightsbridge - either at your doctor or Boots. You'll need to keep proof of all that and make sure to take it with you to the US. After marriage you must file for adjustment of status. Normally vaccinations already completed would be marked on the DS3025 Knightsbridge will give you to keep and you'd provide a photocopy of that with your AOS. However in this scenario you wouldn't have completed them and must go to a US Civil Surgeon in the US to recertify your vaccinations on a I-693 (only the vaccination portion is required for a K1, follow the instructions carefully). Of course this option will also cost a lot.. and many people have trouble finding a US Civil Surgeon to do the vaccination portion only. There is a list on VJ that can help, and you may need to call around.

    3) Get them done in the US. You can get them done at any local pharmacy, Walmart, a doctor, minute clinic.. and the US Civil Surgeon themselves. However this will also cost a significant amount, and everything from option 2 still applies.

This is why we recommend getting the vaccinations done before Knightsbridge for time and cost effectiveness.

No doubt, I was thinking of the hassle many have getting a Civil Surgeon to certify them and not insist on a full medical.

SMH.  This just ruins things for others who are trying to immigrate legally.

The message is boilerplate, and really applies to immigrant visas, not immigrant-intent visas like K-1s. Don't worry about it.

Update: Got my case and invoice number, I believe they were actually issued yesterday. Got it after calling. Still no e-mail updates of any kind. Was able to check https://ceac.state.gov status under Immigrant visa. Status: At NVC. Now hoping it will make alleged next week shipment to the embassies.

So my police certificates came today and before I could get to them my dog put a hole right through my picture on the certificate and crumpled it. Goodbye £51 😫 so much for trying to be ahead of the game

    Mini update:
    NOA1: Aug 08 (old) Aug 13 (New)
NOA2: Dec 27 (Notice date, received in USPS mail Dec 31, no updates to either website to this day)

No notification of any kind in either e-mail or postal mail despite updating AskNVC website.
Started calling to NVC Jan 10 (on 2 weeks mark)
Today finally was told  case arrived to NVC today
    NVC Arrived: Jan 14

Moral of the story: Do not count on them to update via e-mail, calling seems to be the only reliable way to get updates. Call while having your WAC number  ready.
