    Arrested for Being 'Openly Jewish?'

"You are quite openly Jewish.  This is a pro-Palestinian march.  I am not accusing you of anything but I am worried about the reaction to your presence."

With those words, a London police officer explained to Gideon Falter that if he did not leave the area he would be arrested for threatening the peace.

Arrested for walking near pro-Hamas protesters.  By merely existing, he was told, he was a danger to the community.  [...]

Ontarkie reacted to Dataunavailable in 2 K1 denials to IR1 interview soon, questions
We got it this morning, she has her passport back in hand with an IR1 stamp and we're ready to go back soon.

When her interview was over and I was watching her walk out the door of the Embassy, I gave a thumb up/down gesture, she gave thumbs up and it immediately felt like 50lb weights were taken off my shoulders at that exact moment. It was very emotional to know that our fight is over, we can sleep knowing that we have the rest of our time on this planet to wake up and see each other everyday, I don't fly home alone this time. Getting the visa in hand was what made us realize this is real and we can finally rest after years of battle.

I think those here that have fought for years to have their significant other with them in their home country know the feeling of finally getting approval, but it's impossible to describe in words, I look my wife in the eyes and I'm filled with emotions never experienced before. I wake up and say thank you that we're finally allowed the same benefit every human should be.

I'm sure it may sound sappy or even hard to understand for some who have had immediate approvals and never had to deal with K1/C-IR1 immigration for seven years. We never gave up we never questioned our love and we never stopped pushing to have our future together.
I know I'm not the first and I won't be the last to feel like this, I hope life works out for every real couple out there fighting and they are also finally given the opportunity to rest their stress.

Maybe, maybe not.  Many people believe the right to vote is the primary reason for immigrants to want to naturalize and are a bit blind to other benefits.  In my case, voting wasn't the top of the list.  The potential educational resources for my kid were a top priority (and I don't like giving USCIS money every 10 years  ).

It says that while it is being processed. They all go through a period of processing, if they did not ask you to send anything in or ask you to fill out the DS-5535 it should not take long at all.

Ontarkie got a reaction from TBoneTX in What's the Expiry Date on your K1 Visa?
The reason you can't get a firm answer is because many things can change the expiry date. It should be 6 months from the medical. But it is not unheard of it being much less than that.

    Change your timeline as follows
    1. Go as planned Aug 24.
Document disposition of big ticket items ( either storage or in family’s garage )
establish physical address w family in US on DL, bank , credit , SS , IRS . USCIS w AR-11
Have family write up a letter stating you and spouse will be lodging /living w them for the duration of overseas contract .

    2. Fly back in Jan 25 and file I-751 . You will have receipt in 10 days or less , then file I-131 and you should have biometrics re use notice in a few days.
Mark both physical and mailing address for I-751 w US address at filing . . since you will be here at filing you will simplify the usual confusion .
NOW include all the  evidence from item 1 and disclose Vietnam address as an OVERLAP on last page of I-751.

You should be done in 2 to 3 weeks in January and don’t need to worry about coming back every six months .
After 11 months , if I-131 is not approved , start prodding USCIS and your congressman.

    Don’t bother w December filing .
You will NOT be denied entry as long as your I-751 extension is valid ..so look at card and letter carefully .

It would depend on the visa. Not likely but one can never be sure.

I just realized you have not contacted USCIS nor Congressman.
Poking the bear is often effective to bring attention to old paper ( non digital) cases stuck in the black hole.

YOU should do both on your own. Call and USCIS, ask for tier 2 and try either an expedite or service request.
Look up your congressman and email authorization
