  1. Thank you I will look into everything you mentioned. I have no idea what some of it is, but I will find out.
  2. You are both in your 30's you're not children, but he is sure acting like one. Having you take pictures of the meal you made so he can make up his mind if he wants to eat. Too bad so sad, if he wants to eat he gets his hinny to the kitchen. He wants certain food he goes to the stores with you. He arrived in May and does nothing but complain or hide. I'm sorry but he is showing his true colours, he won't change. THis is the honeymoon stage all should be hunky dory at this point. A little strain is normal but not what you typed here. It took me 3 years to adjust here and almost 5 before I really felt like this was home. Not once did I blame my husband for things, but I sure as heck complained. I complain about no ketchup chips, I complained about the dang spiders, I complained about the traffic, I complained about the flour and boy did I complain about the ppl. But not once did I blame him. There's a difference between culture shock and being out right nasty and he is just being nasty. If you want to keep trying then you need to have a coming to Jesus talk with him. No more games, period. He participates or he leaves. If you're done then it's time to tell him. Pull the I 864 so you and if your parents signed it too are not on the hook.
  3. ~~Moved to AOS from K1/K3 P&P from AOS from Work, Student and Tourist Visas- the OP is adjusting from a K1~~
  4. Another thing, do not mention he's married. Some personnel think getting married voids the K1 and deny the SSN.
  5. Yes the only reason I wear my glasses.
  6. I would not do anything else until you contact one the two lawyers mentioned in this thread. Both of these lawyers are straight shooters. They will tell you if it is possible. Laurel Scott I think is retired but the firm is still going and can tell you one way or another. The clean slate is good to go after but just remember it will not make it like it never happened fo US immigration. It will still need to be mentioned and have the court records submitted. I don't know why the other lawyers said no way. It could be out of their wheelhouse or they it's because they know more then us. Regardless contact the two listed above and they should give you the honest truth, if your spouse is eligible for a waiver.
  7. Jumping in and looking for help with my ugly tired, dark circle eyes. I never wear makeup I started using some stuff but I can't remember what it's called. Vit E or C maybe haha I'm allergic to everything and I mean everything. So that is a big factor, plus I'm no spring chicken. Is there anything I can do without a full makeup routing? I would never follow though if that is the only way.
  8. Without knowing exactly what the convictions are we can only guess. I suggest using the link in the above post to Hacking on YT. If you want a more private setting call his firm and maybe you can get a consult. One way or another you both need to get as honest as possible with the right lawyer. Not all lawyers are equal. Even with him going for a clean slate act( I'm guessing it is like a pardon/forgiveness and hide the conviction) he will still need to declare everything on the forms for immigration benefits and will need all court records regarding it.
  9. ~~Thread moved from Bringing Family of USC to AOS from Work, Student and Tourist Visas- Op is asking about AOS from J1~~
  10. ~~Moved to Effects of Major Family Changes, from ROC- as similar threads are discussed here.~~
  11. There's no K2 process for her. The kids are USC.
  12. ~~Moved to AOS from K1/K3 P&P, from K1 P&P- the OP is at the AOS stage and no longer a K1 Processing stage.~~
  13. ~~Moved to K1 P&P, from Bringing Family of USC- the OP is starting the K1 Process.~~
  14. My friend has a Maincoon cat. He's a big big baby.
  15. It really is hard to say. Canada is pretty strict on letters from the other parent. Some countries are not so strict. It's better to write up a letter giving permission and not need it vs getting stopped and wreck the whole trip.
  16. If Ken flew he is going to need his passport to get back on the plane. If he drove hopefully they don't grill him too badly. It's not wise to send the passport through the mail from the US and hope it doesn't take 3 weeks to make it to family. He will also be at the mercy of that family to send it in. Too many what ifs just is not worth the risks of more delays.
  17. ~~ Multiple posts have been removed. Thread is locked to further replies. The OP has decided to file for AOS and other have derailed this thread enough. @obrakeo please jump down to the AOS from Work, Student and Tourist Visa forum if you have any further questions.~~
  18. ~~One post split off to its own thread.~~ Your visa will match your Passport. If you want to change your name the cheapest and easiest is to do it before the interview by getting a new passport in your married name. If your passport in already in married name, then there is nothing left to do. The visa cannot be in any other name but the one in your passport. If you wait until after you move it will cost a good chucnk to change the green card. Sorry I can't remember the cost atm. Then the next chance will be at ROC if you enter as a CR1, or if you go for citizenship you can fill out the forms with the new name. You do not have to have an official/court name change but many go that way too.
  19. Send it when you get back. The turn around is not anywhere near as long.
  20. That has been the pattern as of the last year or so. Your husbands case is not denied but the WOM is going to be tossed. Now your lawyer suggested to wait it out, some lawyers push to pay more money and fight more. I haven't seen the WOM do much in two years other than make lawyers richer.
  21. ~~Zombie thread locked to further replies. Please do not hijack other's threads and start a thread of your own for questions about your own case.~~
  22. ~~Moved to IMBRA Special Topics, from K1 P&P- the OP has not started any process but is also looking for information on AWA.~~ Please read through this forum to see other threads about AWA. You are going to need a very good solid case and it will not be fast. You're looking at quite possible several years to get an answer.
  23. ~~Moved to General Immigration Discussion from IR1/CR1 P&P- as similar topics are discussed here.~~
  24. ~~Moved to General Immigration Discussion, from IR1/CR1 P&P- the OP is not seeking a spousal visa at this time and is asking if it is possible to obtain US citizenship without being a PR.~~
  25. ~~Moved to AOS from Work, Student and Tourist Visas, from What Visa Do I Need - as the OP is doing AOS and not visa processing.~~
