    We had our GC interview on Monday and were recommended for approval! We were so excited. By the time we had gotten home from the interview our status had changed to New Card Is Being Produced  now we're waiting for it to come in the mail. Hopefully it won't take too long..  Hang in there everyone - the *end* is in sight!!

    We had our GC interview on Monday and were recommended for approval! We were so excited. By the time we had gotten home from the interview our status had changed to New Card Is Being Produced  now we're waiting for it to come in the mail.     @Zoe MWow that is amazing timing!! Congratulations!! I hope your luck follows you throughout the rest of your journey.  I basically have the same dates as you and not yet received anything but i feel that Cincinnati might not be the busiest immigration office in the country.

    Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the concern. We actually have thought a lot about the financial aspects of immigration. We have a large amount in savings, scholarships, generous family support, and a clear budget for what comes next. The goal of this question was to gain clarity on the legal side of things.

    We got the notice of card being produced on June 4th, notice card being mailed on June 6th, notice the post office picked up the mail on June 7th.  And we have card in hand as of today, June 10th.
     
    I hope yours comes/gets approved soon!!!!!

    It was! Especially since we just filed at the end of February 2019. We weren’t expecting the interview for many months. It came on a Friday and made our weekend.

    Thanks, I'll add a few days on to that because May 3rd was a Friday. Should be coming soon then - I see you're in Ohio too! I have the Informed Delivery app so have been checking that every day but nothing from them has popped up yet.

    I had an FBI background check done before I moved to Taiwan a few years ago.....all I got was a blue sheet of paper which said "No record of crminal activity"...or some phrase like that.

    Join the club!  Had my bios on 3/4, review completed on 3/5, and ever since then....Spam emails from USCIS telling me "We're still reviewing your case...blah blah blah...there's no new updates at this time...blah blah blah".

    When the Embassy is ready to issue a visa, it will change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you will know that you are a few days away from getting the visa. It will go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" status and then your visa changes to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued" status as well. These steps sometimes transpire over a day or even a few days. Some smaller Embassy's it happens within hours.
     
    Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".
