Congratulations on your second interview. I suggest you go ask at the Jordanian embassy in Damascus. I am going there in the morning when they open today. Or try to call them. I am going there to try to get a security clearance.

Thank you! My husband says he heard people talking at the embassy saying that the ones getting interviewed don’t have to wait long anymore and that it’s only taking a week - 3 months maximum depending on the case.

Hello, everyone. So after waiting 1year and two months after my husband’s interview, we finally got the news that his visa is ready. And yes, after telling us his visa is ready, they told us he only has 5 months left on his passport and that it can’t be less than 6. 🤦🏻♀️ We tried everything we could to get an extension on his passport but in Syria, it is impossible because the government removed the ability to extend passports due to security issues during the war. We had to send in a new passport and are back to waiting for God knows how long.
Just wanted to give everyone hope that it is possible to get a visa and to be careful and check how long your passport is valid. I will keep everyone updated.

"A group of leaders in Congress is preparing to introduce legislation on April 10 to redress the fall out of the ban. Known as the “National Origin-Based Antidiscrimination for Nonimmigrants Act” or the “NO BAN Act,” the bill terminates the proclamation and limits provisions in the immigration statute the administration exploited to enact the travel ban. The bill also strengthens the waiver process for those in close family relationships or with humanitarian factors. Fifty-six immigration law teachers and scholars have issued a letter in support of the bill, concluding that it “provides a common sense and humanitarian solution in response to the outcome in Trump v. Hawaii.”

Just wanted to give everyone hope inshallah:
my husband's visa was issued! After 4 months in administrative processing. He will come to the US inshallah next week.
Keep pushing anyone around you that you can for support. This is the only way. Be respectful to embassy staff but follow up over email at least once a month. Talk to your senators and representatives. Get anyone who can to make an inquiry on your case! I have a feeling we were only successful because of sustained pressure over time, from media as well if you can! I wrote a personal essay and last week when things were being spoken about in the news again, I posted it on FB and I believe this had some part in it.

The only hope for us if Democrats win and take over the house and senate again! once they win the first thing they would do is to stop the travel ban and it's one of their top priorities.
Nov 6th is the date and let hope they win! so let's vote! otherwise and if GOP win god forbids then we won't see our spouses until that clown finishes his second term!

Thank you Muhammad,
How did the interview go ? did they ask any weird questions and when did they place your case on AP right away during the interview or after a few days they informed you?
Also Did you submitted a waiver during the interview or later or you did not at all ?
I heard from an attorney that we need to submit this waiver along with our documents during the interview. otherwise it will go under AP instantly.
My wife still living in Syria and our case was completed at NVC but the interview has not scheduled yet.
The wired thing is that they will ask you to attend the interview then will keep you wait with no answer though.
Wish you all the best and hope it gets better for you guys
Please keep us posted.
