Travel Ban waiver hearing tomorrow in SF court:

     Hello all,

If you live close to San Francisco or know someone there, please be present tomorrow morning in the court! there is a court hearing against the waiver system. The lawyer is asking for people to show up so that the judges will see the impact. PLEASE be there if you can. If you need details, please let me know.

     All the best

    Hi @Muhammad&Mansory
Do you have any news about the hearing today ?I have heard that the Judge denied the DOS request to dismiss the case, but nothing behind that.
    Thanks.

  3. "A group of leaders in Congress is preparing to introduce legislation on April 10 to redress the fall out of the ban. Known as the “National Origin-Based Antidiscrimination for Nonimmigrants Act” or the “NO BAN Act,” the bill terminates the proclamation and limits provisions in the immigration statute the administration exploited to enact the travel ban. The bill also strengthens the waiver process for those in close family relationships or with humanitarian factors. Fifty-six immigration law teachers and scholars have issued a letter in support of the bill, concluding that it “provides a common sense and humanitarian solution in response to the outcome in Trump v. Hawaii.”

    Hello guys,

Has anyone considered applying for ITIN to their spouse to file taxes? My wife's income is 0 and I will be owing A LOT of money if I file separately without including her :(

I just sent an application for ITIN last week hoping to get one for my wife.

    Any experience to share?

    Thanks

    Hi Mohammad,

I'm a CPA accountant and tax consultant.. if you are going to apply for ITIN for your wife then you will have to file the w-7 first then send your 1040 after you get the ITIN card.
the process might take up to four months.
    Best of luck.

There are 2 here i know who interviewed and got visa within 3 months. I know who you are talking about. Both had a medical condition. One more who is not here got a visa after a 4 month wait. This one had no exceptions. But very very few 2018 interviews have gotten visas. These are the only 3 i know of and i do a lot of research on this. Many who got are 2017 interviews. So by that meausre i beleive we should see 2018 interviews get visas in 2019. Assuming the backlog does not make it worse.

The only hope for us if Democrats win and take over the house and senate again! once they win the first thing they would do is to stop the travel ban and it's one of their top priorities.
Nov 6th is the date and let hope they win! so let's vote! otherwise and if GOP win god forbids then we won't see our spouses until that clown finishes his second term! :)

  7. Salaam guys,
My wife attended the interview last week and she was placed on AP also. The funny thing is i prepared and wrote a waiver application so she can take it with her and to present it to the counselor during the interview, when she tried to show them the waiver , the counselor said what is waiver ? i don't know what is that for! she denied any knowledge about it and refused to even look at it and did not take it from her.
they also requested her to answer the 10 questions prepared by the embassy in Amman eventhough we submitted the form DS-5535 three days before the interview. and told her she was placed on AP.
It looks like they have instruction to delay all applications and to make it hard for us to bring our spouses to US. and it does not make sense to see that they are issuing a visitor Visa B1-B2 for the Syrians and we get denied or delayed, only in August the issues 77 non immigrant visa for visitors!!و الله يهنيهم من كل قلبي but does anyone have any idea on why our CR1 visa gets delayed and others are getting it eventhough there is no waiver for them at all ?
