Try not to use those wait times as a guide! My EAD/AP card is being delivered today. Yours is coming soon too . I stopped checking after the first 2 months because it is so stressful looking at those wait times fluctuate.

Yeah, I’m gonna stop putting any hopes on anything anymore as it’s really depressing being let down.My husband is being super encouraging and remains hopeful but I’m tired.  I’m just disappointed as we really wanted to travel to my country for Christmas and flights have become ridiculously expensive, and we can’t book anything before I have the AP in hand. So probably have to scrap that idea completely and go sometime next year. 

EAD processing times have moved further by a  month again... 5.5 to 7.5 months now 😓

Was disappointing that my interview was not scheduled, so I turned off notifications and stopped checking USCIS page ... today I saw in USPS an envelope coming from USCIS.. guess what??  it was scheduled!!! today I will find out the date for it .. Aghh God is good!!
 

My USC wife was fired from her job yesterday... 2 days after our GC interview. She''s in shock and this will definitely impact our lives heavily . On a positive note, at least she wasn't fired before our GC interview.

A notification came through via the case tracker app and we were very pleasantly surprised to see the AOS updated. 
 
We had requested an EAD expedite last week but had been turned down 2 days ago without asking for evidence of any kind. (We both have elderly family members who need financial assistance due to unexpected health issues.)
 
I was actually in the process of filing a request for assistance with our congressman tonight. Perfect timing!

My husband is starting to have a hard time being cooped up at home and not contributing to the financial aspects of our life/marriage. Of course going in to this I told him it would likely be at least November before he got his EAD, but I'm worried about how he will feel if it takes even longer than that (especially with the holidays looming). We are also doing fine financially but he can't help the way he is feeling, and I completely understand it. I just wish there was something I could do to help ease the tension he is feeling. At least we both know that at some point, we will be past all of this. 
 
Not really asking for advice or anything, but maybe just send some good vibes/positive thoughts/prayers (if that's your thing) our way. He's such a wonderful man and I just want him to be as happy as possible ❤️ 
 
Side note: As of today we've been married 5 months ❤️ 

I-130 is NOT needed for adjustment from a K1 visa. The I-130 is filed concurrently with the I-485 for people who married in the US and are adjusting status from another visa type or on ESTA.

That's awful! I'm so sorry that happened to you.

Attended the field office in Oklahoma City today for interview. Turns out they didn't have my I-130, which is still in Nebraska, so they couldn't interview us. So now we continue waiting while they get it, and then reschedule the interview. So bitterly disappointed. 

Let me tell you a story. I was stuck back in 2011 with an expired Passport in Nigeria. They wouldn't let me board the plane home and when I tried to change my ticket my account was hacked as I'm on phone and all my money drained. So I was in Nigeria no passport or money to get home. So I went to the US Embassy in Lagos and they gave me the money to get a ticket home and a temp passport. Of course I had to pay it back in due time when I got home, but point is UK is like US and will not leave their citizens countryless (don't know if that's a word but you get). Call your embassy tomorrow.
Just saying the words "UK citizen in distress will help you greatly".

Yay just had notice that my interview has been scheduled yippee!!

Woke up to an email notice letting me know that my case is ready to be scheduled! My local office is Los Angeles, so I wasn't very hopeful, but glad my case was touched. 

Just checked and hallelujah my aos has changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview hope it’s scheduled soon!!

Might still get the green card in 2021 come to think of it, but at least change is better than no change!

I decided to refresh the USCIS case tracker app out on a whim a few minutes ago, and my case just got updated!!
 
I know that it could take some time before my interview, but I'm so relieved to know that my case has been touched! I was truly expecting to get my Green Card in 2021 due to the processing times at the Seattle office.

God I am so mad. Just got an alert for my i145 (was hoping it would be EAD) and an RFE has been sent out... We have literally sent everything and have paid our lawyer thousands... What the hell could they possibly need!?!?!?

Awesome info! I have been doing a lot of networking since moving to Colorado! Meetup is great, volunteering is always a great option! Of course if you are able to financially get to these activities and pay for them, theres lots of options!
 
I've been using Facebook to meet people to build my photography portfolio - which has also helped making friends and getting to know people!  I've been getting everything together business wise so when I can work I am all ready to go!! It's definitely not easy going from 100% self reliant to having to rely on someone - hang in there to anyone struggling it will get better soon!!!
