  1. Fake claims, lawsuits, cheaply made houses, nature...
  2. Unless someone has access to USCIS internal operation docs, nobody can answer such question.
  3. You don't seem to have any ties to the US, read the page https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-we-grant-your-green-card/maintaining-permanent-residence Of course it's up for debate, but even though you can technically submit for N400, there's no guarantee they will approve you. And once your 10 year GC expires, they won't likely to extend it. What would you answer if the immigration judge ask what you need the GC for? To spend a month per year in the US? A tourist visa can do just fine, even better, no visa is required for an EU person.
  4. In general, they can't adjudicate your N400 before the 751. Some people passed N400 interview but still have to wait for a long time to get it fully approved. Though those are rare.
  5. Embassy employees have no idea about US immigration docs. You should check with the airlines. I've been traveling the expired gc and extension letter, and now the temporary stamp in the passport just fine. To Europe, Mexico, and Canada.
  6. There's no age restriction so you can just go ahead. There's one caveat: "The joint sponsor (or the joint sponsor and his or her household) must reach the 125% income requirement alone. You cannot combine your income with that of a joint sponsor to meet the income requirement.
  7. Maybe just resend the whole thing and more evidence since you submitted the AOC package. Did you go through interview for AOC? If not, this time they prolly just want to skip the interview and approve your case if there's sufficient evident.
  8. nada for me as well. They keep pushing inquiry day back
  9. This may sound cliché, but a good way to get courage is to remind yourself the reason you started it. It will be a long journey.
  10. I know, I've been to Europe many many times, that's my question for the person I quoted. In Houston, you send them all the scanned docs via email, once they say it's ok, that's when you schedule the appointment. It took them one day to issue my visa.
  11. how can you apply for a visa if you don't know what to submit? For the Spanish consulate in Houston, you have to bring all docs to their office.
  12. Surely apply for Global Entry. It scans your face and print out a piece of paper, then you can just walk right in. I've been traveling everywhere with the expired card and extension letter, no problem.
  13. for me, it was one week. Got approval one day after the interview and the card came three days after that
  14. Because there will be people protesting "the US immigration is only for rich people" Even the income requirement is criticized the same way. They said poor people with no income should be able to migrate too.
  15. It's not that bad, I've heard the British embassy in Vietnam doesn't do anything for their citizen. Paperworks in countries like France or Germany takes forever to get. I believe the US is the country with the most efficient process when it comes to immigration. We have just way to many people migrating here every year.
  16. He was "told". Not sure by whom. There's nothing to be certain with USCIS.
  17. because you don't know what they are going to ask, and all it takes is one slip. People forget things, like myself. I have very bad memory and for my line of work (programming), I have to constantly look up things on the internet as I can't remember everything. There are thousands of things related to a couple for example simple things like parents' names, DOB, anniversaries... Not everyone can remember every single details like those. I remember in the ROC interview, the CO looked at the bank statement, pointed at one transaction that show Austin on it (we live in Houston) and asked what did you guys do in Austin. Totally forgot what that was, it took me a while to remember. I renewed my wife ID and Austin is where the payment was originated. So there's that. He also ask my spouse about my parents' names and she couldn't answer as she totally forgot about it. She actually never saw them in person as my parents still live in Vietnam, she doesn't interact much with them, how can she even remember their names? Things worked out ok, I got the conditional PR card, but what if the CO is ugly and tries to press it further?
  18. They won't issue another card, they will make a stamp in the passport at a field office. Problem with the stamp is I can't use Global Entry with it.
  19. I had no problem either. I didn't even have the card as I got mugged. I used the temporary stamp and there was no problem
  20. I drove to Vancouver with the expired GC and letter, it was ok. I've heard from a friend who flew down Mexico encountered a similar situation. They let her fly but the immigration on the Mexico side didn't let them to get in. They put them right back onto the next flight to California. Wonder what is going on. I flew to Europe two weeks ago, and everything seemed fine.
