The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiancé (e)’s/spouse’s approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiancé (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition.

    Next steps:

Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview.

Please keep the following information for your records:

    Hey everyone.

I have a question about when to book my flights.

I know it says not to book the flights until you get your passport back with the visa in, but why is that?

I'm just a little concerned as I also am flying my cat over and they need 3 weeks to get him onto a flight, and obviously I want to fly ASAP.

Is it worth the risk booking us on a flight together or should I REALLY wait till I have my passport back?

I have the visa stamp can take from 2-10 days and then you pick it up and if they made a mistake you are suppose to have it fixed before you travel.

    What’s the site for this?

I tried finding the site and gave up. I just called every other day until they said i had a cAse number and then i asked about the email.  Nvc said i had an email on file and then i gave them the fiance email and received the email notification two hours later.

I did however email them before and ask them to update my email.

asknvc@state.gov  maybe you can try it also.

After the NOA2, it moves to the NVC, then it's entered in their system I guess and we receive several number including the case number. What makes/qualifies our package to be sent to the embassy? Does the petitioner have to send anything to NVC? Or does it vary by embassy?

What actually does the NVC letter state?

Nothing meeds to be done except signing up for the email notification so you know when you have a case number.  Once you get a case number you wait for them to send to the embassy and the embassy to send you a package.

  5. The february 6 date is not what they are processing.  That date is when you are out of normal processing times and can file an inquiry.  The majority of dates they are working are the end of february and starting march.  Those earlier than mid february probably have an rfe.  When you are talking about 3500 cases in feb and 4000 in march i am speaking in general terms.     The vj timeline on here is fairly accurate for most people without an rfe.

if you look at the chart for past months only 70% report or update their timeline.  Oct nov dec is around 70% so there are very few left.  January around 60% so around 10% of january is left.  February is at 45% approximately which is really 58% if only 70% reports or updates their timeline.
