You want suggestions as to what you can do to move forward.  Here are some ideas.  A CR-1 denial can be appealed, unlike a K-1 denial which cannot.  Your file will go back to USCIS and in a few months you will get a NOIR.  At that point you can submit more evidence of a bona fide marriage, such as more visits to be together, documents showing co-mingling of finances such as a will, health insurance, retirement benefits beneficiary designation, etc.  That will take more time for USCIS to review the additional evidence, maybe months.  If they like what they see, they can send it back to NVC, then to the consulate abroad for another interview, where the visa can be approved or denied again.  If the file is not approved at USCIS when you submit the additional evidence after the NOIR, you can appeal the decision, but that takes more time, a year or more after that.  So even if you are successful in the end, all of that process could take a year, two years, who knows?  This process takes forever even without denials, appeals, file getting sent back to the US, etc.  If your wife really married you for love, and not for immigration benefits to be with her family, then she should be happy if you move to India to be with her, to live with her and make a life there together.  Then after living in India for a few years while the CR-1 process continues, with the appeal and everything, you can either move to the US together later or file for another CR-1.  Many who have gone through a CR-1 appeal after denial and NOIR recommend that it is faster just to file a new CR-1.  If you really love this person and if she married you to be with you and not only to live in the US, if the relationship is genuinely bona fide, she will be happy to be with you and live in India for as long as it takes to eventually get a spousal visa to immigrate to the US.  Good luck.

Yes, of course! It could be a number of reasons. I do not blame them or believe they are doing this on purpose (or have bad intentions.)

After all, they are just doing their job.

This waiting around to start our lives is what is getting tougher each minute.

For sure buddy and thanks for your kind words.  What infuriates me to the core is that when I asked the immigration officer, "what's Administrative Processing" he merely said under his breath fact checking/verification of some sort yet the letter he handed me had all of immigration verbiage I don't understand but he continues to say to me that the letter seems more serious than it really is so we bid him goodbye pleasantries and we left hoping to hear from the consulate in Guyana with the allotted time he told us we will hear from them.. MAY GOD BE WITH US ALL..

This clearly sounds like my husband and I case. We were introduced by friends and we communicated built our friendship/relationship one year later we met and married.  I accompanied my husband for the interview everything went sooth and the CO said congratulations you've proven your legitimately married he took my husband passport and went to speak with his supervisor, upon his return he told us his supervisor is putting our case in Administrative Review.  We were speechless the white form that was given to us said so many times yet the officer said its just fact checking should be a simple process three months later and all I get are automated emails when I write to the US Consulate in my country. This is very stressful... The waiting and not knowing how can someone just play God with our life everything is on HOLD. I was pregnant ended suffering a miscarriage due to stress. From all the researched I've done I noticed that after 60 days you can contact your local senator office to escalate an inquiry on your behalf which is what I did.  I'm sharing this piece of information with you so you can try doing the same. BEST OF LUCK TO US ALL.

have an ap joke for you all:
Administrative processing is like being an Alzheimer’s patient in a waiting room. You don’t know why you’re there or what day, week, or month your appointment is or even what your prognosis is 😂😰

Sorry Amanda I read that the same as your partner, you have already over ran the timeline stated in that response, it just seem like a generic letter sent out and as though they have not taken into account the query in question, I do hope it gets resolved soon though, I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you 😔

yes, we have already been married 2 years so when, inshallah, he does get his visa it will be the IR-1.
I'm really sick to my stomach over all of this & keep having panic attacks. I can't deal with this.
Of course, I try to stay positive about it when I talk to him - because I don't want him discouraged.
Thanks for all your advice. ❤️

yes because there is definitely NO red flag. None.
also, a lady wrote me on here to tell me congratulations on my husband's visa.
she said she witnessed his interview and was next in line behind him.
she had NO clue he wasn't approved because she said his interview went good
& he answered every single question.

i swear, i wish you guys could meet my husband.
he is the sweetest, kindest person i've ever met and he radiates this beautiful energy.
not just because i love him either 😛

all of our documents were there, PLUS SOME.
we never received an RFE from the USCIS. he's never applied for a visa before.
we met on a facebook group called "Worldwide Hippies." lol.
    we're honest, genuinely good people.
anyway, Allah is the best of planners and in time they will have to approve his visa because HOW COULD THEY NOT?
i just hope they are quick.

    Thank you!

We’re going through the same situation. They asked for more wedding photos and handed me 221g although I showed him the wedding photo album but still he wasn’t convinced. Neither he didn’t ask for any other documents like my husband’s tax returns or affidavit of support etc.
We are in shock we prepared everything before interview. May be I have some biomedical educational background which is threatening their securities. Why don’t they understand we are just wishing to meet and live with our loved one??
After two days we uploaded more pictures on Ceac and mail them through AEG as well but we’re still in Ap as today marks the 12th day and we got total 4 updates.
Please pray everyone and give some advice that would help!!

You won't be visiting the USA on a tourist visa any time soon.

You just mentioned the K1 visa which proves the fact that you have immigrant intent. You are not a genuine tourist. You were correctly denied.

I feel your pain and frustration my dear.  My husband the Beneficiary reside in Georgetown, Guyana.  I the Petitioner is an American Citizen I accompanied him to the interview.  We had such a long, nerve wrecking sorta day.  We were confident until everyone's name were called except us.  Everything looked good on paper we had all of our required documents/evidence etc.  The officer said you've proven your legitimately/legally married and your approved, we were ELATED/OVERWHELMED.  THESE WERE THE WORDS WE WERE DYING TO HEAR.  HE TOOK MY HUSBAND PASSPORT AND WENT TO HIS SUPERVISOR AND WHEN HE CAME BACK HE SAID I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS MY SUPERVISOR PUT YOUR CASE IN ADMINISTARIVE review.  WE WERE SPEECHLESS IT'S LIKE SOMEONE WAS PLAYING A MASSIVE JOKE ON US. THIS ALL HAPPEN 01/4/19 since then I email the US Consulate in Georgetown, Guyana and still no avail.  All they can tell me my case is:
Our records indicate that beneficiary application is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing.  Administrative processing is normally completed in three to six months, but in some instances, it can take significantly longer. While we cannot predict when the processing of this application will be completed, please be assured that the applicant will be contacted as soon as new information becomes available.  SOMEONE DECIDES OUR FAITH AND OUR LIFE IS NOW CURRENTLY ON HOLD.  I WAS PREGNAT AND RECENTLY SUFFERED A MISCARRIAGE DUE TO STRESS.  THIS IS ALL SO UNFAIR.  OUR SYSTEM IS BROKEN.  THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY.  I AM SO ANGRY AND HURT I AM NOT MISSING ANY INFORMATION, WE WERE LIED TO THE OFFER PROCEEDED TO TELL ME IT"S SOME SORT OF VERIFICATION WHICH TAKES A FEW DAYS IT"S OVER A MONTH NOW.. STILL NO LETTER/PHONE CALL ANYTHING.  AFTER ALL THIS HAPPENED I WAS STILL IN THE COUNTRY ON 01/10/19  I WENT BACK TO THE US CONSULATE IN GUYANA TO MAKE AN INQURY BUT WASN'T ALLOWED BEYOND THE FRONT DOOR HOW FRUSTRATING.  MAY GOD BE WITH US ALL THROUGH THID WAITING GAME

"Administrative Review" is different from "Administrative Processing".  If your case is in Administrative Processing, then actions are possibly required by agencies outside the embassy......such as additional background checks.......unfortunately, the issue could be infrastructure in the country, and not an issue inside the consulate.......hopefully, you will receive good news soon.

I sure will give an update on my wife interview. btw I sent in my petition to USCIS on February 20, 2018. It took about 5 and half months to get approved and 4 weeks to arrived at NVC and having the NVC case number. On November 19, 2018 I sent all my documents to NVC after I paid the fees and such on. On December 11 2018 my case was completed, it took little over 3 weeks. on January 9th 2019 I received my interview appointment letter. That’s took little over 3 weeks as well. I would have been done with the NVC stage along time ago but I purposefully delayed the process by a few weeks, in order words I delivered my package to NVC a little late because o didn’t want them to give me an appointment date in 2018 as I wanted to go to the interview with my wife and I didn’t have vacation time from my job. Anyway it all plays out well and my wife got her interview in 3 days.

    Hey guys,

I am so happy to say that my wife visa was approved today. The interview process went very well. I was allowed in with my wife, we went through security then we were given our number and waited about 45 minutes then we were called in to go up to the window for my wife to have her finger print taken and stuff that took about 4-5 minutes. Then we sat back down and waited for about 30 minutes then we were called in for the interview itself. It was a very young  female officer that had interview us and she was very pleasant towards my wife and I. She ask my wife who’s her husband? Then she ask me what is my job position and where I work? Then she asked my wife when the last time she saw me? How we met? When did our relationship began? When we got married? Who was there? She ask my wife what I love to do in the US? If we got engaged? That’s was all she asked then she told us she will be right back and she came back with a pink paper and she said you have been approved of your visa to pick it up on the 15th. The interview from start to finish was only about 5-7 minutes.

I just want to say thank you to everyone here on visa journey. You guys are the best. You all were so willing to help in anyway and my wife and I would like to wish you all the best of luck on getting your visas, and we will still be here to answer any questions try to help in anyway we can. Once again thank you all great people on this forum. Btw my wife will be traveling back to the US with me soon!
