Hi everyone, I could use some advice. I went to drop off paperwork for my RFE today to my attorneys office. I told the paralegal about my fiancé visiting from March 30-April 6. She told me they may not let him in through customs when they see we’ve applied for the K1 visa. So I started sobbing in my car because we want to visit each other. I left a voicemail for the customs office he would go through asking about him visiting on the K1 visa so waiting for them to call back. What are the chances he’d be turned away? We’re doing this legally but it would break my heart knowing he’d be half a mile from me and then turned away.

Decree Absolute with a judges signature is the requirement. You need to fill in a form, D180 which is available online to print and send it completed along with your decree absolute to Bury St Edmunds, the divorce court. I actually called the courts and explained my situation. They were most helpful in explaining what I needed to do. Signed certificate will be back within 3 weeks.
Ask London specific questions in the UK forum and you won't get answers from another country who may have different procedures at the embassy stage. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ Just saying.
I’m a US citizen. So I don’t think this applies to me

I would not count on getting good answer from them. When it comes to divorce documents, they seem to look for something very specific, like "final" decree which is not same as divorce certificate etc. Not saying that is what you sent, but I've seen people get tripped out by it, especially if its beneficiary's document.
Hopefully you will be able to get it sorted soon!
I got to an agent and she said they needed an official document and not just a copy. So I’m at my county clerk’s office getting an official judgment showing finality. My attorney said he would check it over Monday and make sure it looked good and then overnight it. The agent said my approval would be quick as long as I sent in what they needed

Wow. Sorry to hear. I wonder did they lose it or misplace it. It seems like it's an easy fix and I hope your issue is resolved fast.
I’m on hold now with them to see if they actually got the document. This is so frustrating.

Omg I got an informed delivery from USCIS but it doesn’t show a 1/1 on the envelop does that mean it’s an RFE? Omgggg!

aug 31, still nothing too
I was looking at some timelines for September filers and some of them were approved in like 110 days...a little over 3 months! They had the same service center as me. How does that even happen?

Day 165 since NOA1. Let’s hope this me and my fiancé’s lucky week!

I understand that everyone says wait..... But I see so many approvals after my NOAA one day. I’m a public high school teacher in the US I’ve had to pass the FBIDOJ background check in order to get and keep my credential. Just don’t understand what is taking so long I have all of my paperwork checked and double checked including the divorce decree. My fiancé presented her late husband’s death certificate. I’ve heard that everything is delayed because of the government shut down. This just makes me so upset
My NOA1 date is 8-30 and I’m still waiting. I know how you feel
I just want my fiancé here. I miss him tons. As far as the government shutdown, my attorney told me the USCIS is self funded so they were not a part of the shutdown.

I tried logging in on the new site to check my case status, but there is no option to login anymore. Anyone experiencing this as well?

My NOA1 is on September 7th but I was fallowing your month as well. I checked old site today and we got our I-129F approved on January 30th . The old site only, the new one does not have any updates. And I have not got anything in the mail.
Just wanted to share with everyone. Those who are still waiting. just be patient and good luck.
Now to the next step.
My NOA1 is 8-30-18
I wish I could hear back. My fiancé keeps telling me to be patient but it’s so hard

So I feel silly asking this but is the NOA1 date the day the USCIS received your case or when you received the letter in the mail? They got my case on 8-31-18 and they sent out the letter of receipt on 9-5-18. I was thinking to myself this morning that I might be in the wrong filers group 😂

I just called and spoke to a customer service rep and told them that many around my date have been either sent an approval or RFE and I wanted to check on my case. She was really nice and looked it and let me know that we were approved yesterday.
My NOA1 was a day after you and I’m currently at 152 days. I hope mine is coming soon!

Mine is 13 august. still nothing i am not expecting soon Also they extend their time to 7.5 so cant make any inquiry
I called last week to see if they might say something different than the website and I felt so silly 😑 I was told I could only inquire if my petition was past the timeline. I guess I don’t really know what I was expecting when I called. My fiancé and I are just trying to not think about it. Oy! All good things come to those who wait.

I see all these approvals in August but when I still see nothing for me.... NOA1 August 17....Just don’t get it
My NOA1 was on August 30 and I see people right before and right after me being approved. It really sucks but my attorney told my fiancé and I it would be February when we found out about our petition. I’ve always been a very impatient person so this wait has been real test for me.

My attorney called me back and said he would charge me $50 just to write an affidavit saying he’s only visiting for a week and he said even that won’t guarantee anything. What the heck! He is making it sound like he will be turned away at customs
