I've been thinking back on all the questions I saw since I joined this forum.    I wrote a summary of my time, and it became a rhyme!  I wanted to somewhere to share, and only you lot would care.  Helps to read it aloud.

Concerning the naming errors some of you are experiencing. Do not worry about what your NVC letter or even your NOA2 says. It all can be fixed at the interview with the CO and I doubt that it is wrong once they look at your case on their computer. The main thing is that you continue using the proper spelling on all your documents especially the DS-160. There is no need to call USCIS/NVC/FBI/Your Mother - none, nadda, zero, zip.

Was the name on your NOA from USCIS correct?  If so, not to worry 

Thanks for the heads up. I have E Mailed the NVC to inform them so hopefully, they will receive it and make the change before it goes to the embassy in London.

These are instructions for a immigrant visa for CR-1 etc. and not for K-1 which is a non-immigrant with immigrant intent. So ignore!

As far as I know this is generic and K1s need to schedule interview themselves. It's the case for my embassy too. However I would suggest you reconfirm on your country portal.

While it is not from an official website, the answer is correct.  Guangzhou has been the only consulate for k1s in China for as long as I have been a member here

After you have completed the steps included on the Fiancé(e) Visa Process, the National Visa Center (NVC) will conduct preliminary processing on your case.  Your case will then be forwarded to U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou for pre-interview processing.  You will receive a notification to complete the required visa application form (DS-160) and prepare the necessary documents.  Once your case becomes qualified for an interview, you will be notified to go to the visa application serviceswebsite to schedule an interview.

Our case has been changed to READY status
it was sent yesterday and received by consulate now, didn't expect it to be this soon.
Guess we can finally start gathering documents for next step.
I'm also planning on flying back to help her preparing all the stuffs, I wonder is there any chance that I can go in with her on the interview

Well, that escalated quickly.   My case got set to Ready! 

I was able to pre-book the interview (waiting for payment confirmation now) even if our case is not under “ready status” yet but unluckily the first available date is Jan., 8th
I was hoping for something quicker but at least we have a date now. This journey is almost over and I can reconnect with my loved fiancé.😍

Guys!! just get realx come on....everybody here is so stressed out and with many things on mind. 
PaulMac, im so glad yopu have your fiance with you already thats awesome...and im so grateful cause green and many others that answer. I just think if we are here for helping each other, probably we will read the same answer tons of times and even by this group I got to find amazing people that had helped me alot even I asked many details and many things...I just think as soon we help each other and ifg we have the time for doing just LETS DO IT  and smile cause even we can repeat maybe the same answer we're helping. Im working and sometimes is hard to follow whole the conversation and for being honest i get lost lol! but when i have time I try to read and when I read something like : " My fiance is here" I have my interview tomorrow " Im pretty happy cause I know that someday Ill be in the same and its just because the help of all of you guys

2 weeks. Us too. Our case missed and the guy I talked to said it was still in administrative processing. Then I saw other posts on vj saying it is taking our embassy 2 to 3 months to send packet 3 to allow to schedule the interview. Omg

In transit today   Do you have Algeria P3 by chance?  Also, the status has a strange statement about our interview date, even though we already know that we have to schedule it ourselves on the Algiers Embassy website.  Is this anything? 
 
 

We also got the “ in transit” today! We have completed everything else including the medical exam. Does anyone know if we have to wait for the hard copy to arrive in Ukraine or can we schedule the interview with the NVC forwarding it electronically?
